Chapter 289: Trip [II]

"Oh this is the hospital…?" He asked as he pulled into the driveway carefully.

It was a bit smaller than the massive Aurelion Hospital that he had woken up in two months ago after his reincarnation, but it was still big and modern-looking with multiple wings.

"I can practically smell the antiseptic from here…" His nose squeezed in distaste and Freya giggled at his exaggerated expression.

There were several cars in the driveway and he parked in an empty spot between a sedan and an SUV.

'If anyone scratches this car… I swear I'll charge them to court.' He thought protectively as he got out and opened the door for the girls chivalrously, Freya and Shiori came out gracefully and he sighed.

He was only doing this for Freya really… it would be bad if the first friend she had was constantly thinking about her sick mother and unable to enjoy their friendship, besides… Freya connected hands with Shiori and pulled her forward eagerly.

'I'll just put it under one of her gifts anyway.' He thought as he looked at both girls, Selene and Rita had come out of the car as well. "Alright girls, each of you… place your hands in mine."

He extended his hands at the two little girls and they blinked at it in confusion.

"We should… hold your hands?" Shiori blinked once more, she had only ever held hands with her Brother before this.

"Of course, there should be a lot of people in the hospital… what if someone kidnaps you and puts you in a bag?" He asked seriously and her face paled comically, she was really an easy person to tease.

Shiori stumbled forward and held his hand tightly while Freya took it all the same.

"Okay, let's go." He said and pulled the girls forward.

"Yay!" Both girls said at the same time cheerfully.

The hospital smelled exactly like he expected… a mix of antiseptic cleaner and that distinct medical facility atmosphere that all hospitals seemed to share.

As they walked through the automatic doors, several people did double-takes recognizing the famous awakened.

People whispered excitedly, some pulling out their phones to take pictures from a distance. Lucius was used to it by now.

"Is that... Lucius von Hohenberg?" someone whispered.

"With the Moon Goddess too!" another voice added excitedly.

"And is that a child? His daughter?"

"And the Saintess! All three of them together!"

Lucius ignored them completely, focused on getting to Shiori's mother's room on the third floor.

The girls held his hands tightly as they navigated through the sterile hallways filled with patients, visitors, and medical staff going about their duties.

"Lost them…" Lucius had closed the door behind him quietly, they had been followed around the hospital by some people seeking autographs and photos.

However he had lost them right now and he was in the room where he was supposed to be.

There were two nurses here already checking monitors and Shiori was holding the hands of her pale faced mother who was connected to some sort of machine that monitored her vitals with beeping sounds… Freya was also giving Shiori a sad look and so did Selene.

The woman looked incredibly frail, her skin an unhealthy pale color that spoke of months of illness and her breathing shallow and labored.

"So this is who I'm going to heal." Rita walked over to Shiori's mother professionally, her expression focused. "From the looks of it… She's had Mana Sickness for about a year now, right?"

The nurse nodded.

"Can you not heal her?" Shiori looked up at her with teary eyes desperately and Rita patted her head gently.

"I'm the Saintess… healing her should be a breeze." Rita said as holy magic appeared over her whole figure brightly.

She looked majestic as her hair rolled in the air as if being blown by the wind.

'Mana Sickness is not that much of a big issue for someone at my level… it can only be handled by a very high level healer, and the Council has made us charge a lot for it so we can't be going around and administering healing to everyone that has the sickness.'

She placed her hands on Shiori's mother's chest, pumping the holy magic into her and the woman's whole body bounced as if something was trying to come out of it.

Rita then placed both hands above the woman's face and the holy magic came out, covered with wisps of blue mana and then she dispelled them immediately.

The holy light faded and the coldness caused by the sickness began receding as the woman's pale skin healed to a healthy color.

"I'm done… it'll take some hours for her to wake up but her body is at peak physical condition again." Rita said and immediately Shiori hugged her leg tightly.

"Thank you!" She exclaimed with tears of joy streaming down her face and the nurses double-checked the vitals with nods of confirmation. Freya rushed to her side and hugged her other leg.

"Mama Rita is the best…"

She patted both their heads tenderly and turned back to Lucius, seeing the proud look on his face… it was worth leaving everything behind and it made her heart flutter so she puckered her lips.

"I uh… I want payment." She said while averting her eyes to the ground shyly.

"Payment?" Lucius's eyes widened in surprise and she nodded while taking a step closer to him.

"Your lips… the warmth in your lips." She said while a lustful look made its way to her face, the last time he had held her was after she won the card game back on vacation and she loved it, getting as much warmth as she could from his embrace.

So she needed more now desperately.

"Go ahead." Lucius said and she flashed in front of his face at incredible speed, making Freya stumble at the speed she had used to close the distance.

The Saintess tilted his head back and took his lips in front of everyone… kissing him sloppily while squeezing her thighs together.

'Just like you taught me.' She thought as she lapped his saliva into her mouth, he had taught her how to kiss properly on the same night after the card game… and she was using it right now, she could feel Selene's jealous look boring into her back and then she pulled her face back, several strands of saliva connecting their mouths.

She used her sleeve to wipe it and looked up at him with adoration.

"Did I do good…?" She asked and he gave her a nod, the nurses had pink faces while Freya gave them a look of disgust, Shiori on the other hand was staring at the ground.

She felt very embarrassed.

"Yes you did. It could be a bit sloppier though." Lucius commented honestly. "And use your tongue more…"

Selene gritted her teeth, what were they on about in front of children?

"I will next time." She looked very pleased with herself and Lucius turned to the girls.

"Alright, let's head back to the car. I still have to give Freya a proper gift… for doing so good on her first day." He said and Freya ran at him excitedly, connecting hands with him. She was prepared for it. "Shiori, we can come back tomorrow to visit when your mother wakes up… for now, let's head to the car."

Once all of them gathered up in a circle, he teleported outside… to the parking lot, he would not be moving through the elevators anymore and seeing more fans trying to get autographs and Lucius found something very interesting when they materialized.

"Papa, someone's at our car." She pointed out and Lucius looked, the guy seemed to be leaning against the car with his hand while talking to a pretty woman confidently as if it were his own vehicle.

He seemed to be one of those guys that flexed wealth that they didn't have. "Should we deal with him…?"

"No." Lucius grinned mischievously, this would be like one of those Stitch videos and even Tiktok videos back on Earth… he lifted his car key. "We'll embarrass him instead."

He pressed a key and immediately, the car honked loudly and the lights lit up stylishly… the man seemed to seize up as he jumped away from the car in shock, stumbled backwards and then fell on the lady herself.

Lucius and Freya laughed loudly and so did the two wives of Lucius while Shiori blinked.

"Shouldn't we check on him if he's hurt?" She asked worriedly as he pulled himself up from the girl who slapped him across the face hard in anger. "Oh… he's fine."

They walked over to the car and the man stiffened as well as the girl when they recognized who was approaching.

"Sir Lucius von Hohenberg? This is your car?" The man stuttered in embarrassment and Lucius nodded.

"Of course, don't go around using other people's cars to pose alright?" He asked and looked at the girl who blushed while looking at his handsome face.

He then opened the car door for the girls and once all of them got in safely, he honked once and the people that were dazed on the ground moved aside as he pulled out of the hospital parking lot smoothly and headed in the direction of where he would get her gift.

"So Papa… what do you have planned as my gift?" Freya asked as she bounced at the back seat excitedly, she wanted a phone… like she was promised and also more dresses, maybe a new accessory for her hair and perhaps some toys too.

"Right, what do you have planned?" Selene gave him a look curiously from the passenger seat, she was sure that it would be something over the top given how he spoiled Freya…

"Oh? I was finalizing that before I got home." Lucius replied as he pulled up to the Northcrest General Mall which was one of the biggest malls available in the whole city with over two hundred stores inside.

"Here… this is your gift."

They left the car and he pointed out to the whole massive building that stretched several stories high into the sky.

"I bought it for you." He said casually and Freya blinked.

"This?" She asked while spreading out her whole hands to the big building to make sure her Papa saw it well. "The whole mall?"

"Yes, the whole building. We can go inside and confirm it now." He said and the girls took his hands as they walked inside through the main entrance and once the receptionist saw Freya, she bowed deeply.

"Welcome Boss, I hope you have a good day here." She said professionally and Freya's eyes widened in shock… it was real? Papa really bought her a whole mall?

Shiori's mouth hung open, completely unable to process what was happening. A whole mall? Just as a gift for doing well in school?

"You can pick what you want from any store… Shiori, you too but don't let it be too much. We don't have much space in the car after all." He said and turned to the two adult girls. "Girls, can you follow them? I need to check with the previous owner just to confirm some stuff downstairs."

Selene nodded and so did Rita, the girls split apart and he immediately teleported downward.

He had bought the whole place despite the owner's reluctance at first, and one of the reasons he had done so was because similar to Matthias's warehouses, this place had an underground room perfect for secret projects.

He appeared in it… there were several tubes and equipments being set up by the Head Scientist that he had stolen from Matthias a few days ago, with several other scientists that had been hired for this awakening project.

"Arnie, how's it going?" He asked the Head scientist, Arnold, who had just pushed a large tube in place carefully.

"Boss, we're almost done preparing the whole place for the first trials and initial testing phase. Then we'll have to test the chemicals thoroughly before finding willing children participants for the actual awakening experiments. We'll change the world legally!" He said and laughed aloud madly and Lucius did the same, this room had been used by the owner for an ungodly porn stash… it had been cleared out and the walls were sound-proof in fact.

Rich people had weird tastes and strange hobbies, he guessed.

"Good good… I just came to check in on progress. I'll be going back no-" His phone vibrated and he lifted it up to check.

He had received a message from Alexia saying that his request for an audience with the council for the hotel funding requests had been granted with the location attached to the message as the Silverhain clan house.

"Okay. I have an appointment with the council that I need to attend. I'll check in later tonight." He said as he teleported back to the top floor to tell the girls that he was going to see the President and council.

The whole council was gathered as usual… since the President was officially in the city for the research institute opening, they had decided to meet up at one of the clan houses, the Silverhain house to be specific.

It was the meeting room and a very wide one with a long mahogany table that could seat twenty people, everyone was there… all the Clan heads representing the most powerful families in Aurelia and they were seated formally with Lily gritting her teeth on the side as an observer for her family.

Lucius was sitting opposite with his legs on the table as usual disrespectfully.

Several clan heads exchanged annoyed glances at his posture and casual disrespect for protocol and the sacred council chamber, but none dared to comment directly to his face.

They all remembered what happened the last time… he had destroyed the whole building and wounded several of them.

The room was tense with barely concealed hostility and resentment toward him and his growing influence.

"So we received a report from your personal secretary… saying that you wanted to erect 5 hotels similar to the Moon Hotels still in New Avalon city and you want us to spend precious council funds to do so." The President said carefully and Lucius drank a smoothie through a straw, slurping it loudly and then finishing.

"The problem?" He asked nonchalantly.

One of the clan heads stood up abruptly from his chair… slamming both hands into the table hard enough to make the wood creak.

"The problem? THE PROBLEM?" The man's face turned red with anger. "You've already bled this council dry! First, you call the council demanding one hundred billion royals for the Supreme Man situation… this was money that could have gone to infrastructure, to education, to helping the people!"

He took a breath, pointing accusingly at Lucius.

"The Supreme Guild is STILL rebuilding! You haven't even proven you can manage one organization properly, and now you want FIVE more hotels? Do you think the council treasury is your personal piggy bank? We're not here to fund your vanity projects while you sit there with your feet on OUR table like you own the place!"

Another clan head nodded vigorously in agreement.

"He's right! What about accountability? What about fiscal responsibility? We've done enough for you and yet and you're asking for more? This is absolutely outrageous!"

The first clan head continued, his voice rising even louder with indignation.

"And let's not forget… YOU are still technically under investigation for the circumstances around Supreme Man's... awakening. The paperwork alone from that mess cost us millions in legal fees! Now you want us to just hand over more funding like nothing happened? "

He leaned forward aggressively, eyes blazing with barely contained rage.

"Give us ONE good reason why we should approve this ridiculous request. ONE reason why Lucius von Hohenberg deserves another single royal from this council!"

Lucius raised a hand at the guy calmly.

"I wasn't talking to you…" He said and the Clan head gritted his teeth in fury however space pushed him down to his seat forcefully with space. "I was talking to our President, thank you very much and I'll come back to this argument in a moment."

The President gritted his teeth in frustration at Lucius's dismissive attitude.

"I will agree to this… only if you follow me to the World Council meeting happening tomorrow in the capital."

"That's what I like to hear." Lucius sat properly for once. "Now I have a complaint of my own, especially for this man going on and on about responsibility!"

He stood up calmly and it really looked like he was calm however the next instant, he slammed his own hands on the table, shattering it and sending the pieces all over the place while looking at the first Clan Head.

"Do I look fucking senile to you?! Am I the one that can't handle his own awakened?! Why are you trying to blame me for a situation that was clearly your fault? You can't even hold down your own S-rank and the last time I remembered. The instant I touched down back in Aurelia, you and the rest of the Council had already set me up as the Leader of the Supreme Guild WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!"

The rest of them quieted down… this was the first time they had seen him actually very angry…
