Chapter 290: Arrogant Protagonist

Lucius cleared his throat as he looked at the guy even more intently, letting his gaze convey exactly what he thought of this complaint.

"You should be lucky that I'm not even charging more for this." He said coldly. "And I took responsibility for the actions of an S-rank that you don't even have control over… Imagine your very own Supreme Man trying to assault women on stream and even attempting to kill me on live television? Is it my fault that you put a mentally unstable person as an S-rank awakened? Fuck off."

With that, the clan head's lips trembled and he bowed his head a bit in submission.

"I apologize for my outburst." He said quietly and Lucius didn't look at him anymore, these people were doing anything to make him annoyed.

"Anyway, Old man… I hope it can be verified and the construction will start as soon as possible." Lucius said while standing up and turning more relaxed, looking at his pleased face, if they had not seen it… nobody would have accused him of smashing the table down earlier.

"Yes… I'll do it now and I hope you'll show up tomorrow at the World Council meeting." The President said and Lucius nodded while turning the other way and walking to the door confidently. "I'll send you the location as mentioned."

"Fine, I wouldn't miss it for the world."

He left the room and exhaled heavily, glad to be away from their presence… It was annoying talking with those old men and their constant complaints, however he was finally done and right now, since he was around, he wanted to see the Protagonist from the novel… Elliot.

They might have gotten off to the wrong start initially but there was still hope to salvage a friendship from there.

He was the Protagonist of this world after all, Lucius had no interest in getting in the way of the main villains and this guy unless it was extremely beneficial to him personally.

'Where does he usually stay around this time…?' Lucius stroked his chin thoughtfully, there was a specific spot in the backyard where he usually trained in the novel so Lucius would go check there first.

Regardless of what happened between them, Elliot was still his favorite protagonist from his past life on Earth.

He walked through the long halls of the Silverhain mansion and servants bowed to him wherever he went and he gave them acknowledging nods, maintaining his composure.

He soon came out the backyard entrance and found what he was looking for… Elliot could be seen in a training field while he was holding a sword and cleaving at a training golem that had four arms.

His swordsmanship wasn't bad at all as he carved through the four arms easily with precise strikes and pierced his sword into the golem's neck decisively, letting it fall to the ground with a heavy thud.

Elliot then noticed Lucius who was walking toward him across the training field with a grin on his face.

'What does this guy want…?' Elliot thought, It was clear that this guy despised the Runenforscher household… Elliot suspected that the man was another reincarnator like him, especially since Lucius was meant to be a minor villain not the talk of the world.

Not only had Lucius yelled at the Runenforscher head over the phone during the Supreme Man incident, but his daughter had also kicked his younger brother in the balls… TWICE!

It was pretty clear that he was hating on them specifically.

'Besides, I've read enough isekai light novels to know when someone's been reincarnated. The way he acts... he's definitely not the original Lucius von Hohenberg.' Elliot thought smugly. 'But I'm the protagonist. I'm the one with the cheat system, the destined hero of this world. He's just an extra trying to steal my spotlight.'

So when Lucius reached out for a handshake, he didn't even budge. Instead, Elliot looked at Lucius's extended hand with disdain and spat on the ground right between them.

"I don't shake hands with people who terrorize innocent children." Elliot said coldly, his voice dripping with self-righteousness. "Darren told me everything about what your daughter did to him. Twice in one day."

Lucius's hand froze in mid-air.

'This motherfucker...' Lucius thought. 'Did this protagonist just... spit? In front of me?'

"Oh, and by the way," Elliot continued arrogantly, sheathing his sword with deliberate slowness and walking off. "Lily's been complaining about you stalking her constantly… Leave my fiancée alone."

The space around Lucius rippled slightly with barely contained rage, the air itself seeming to vibrate.

'Stalking? STALKING? This bitch has been blowing up my phone with endless texts and calls and this cuck thinks I'm stalking HER?' Lucius's thoughts were a maelstrom of rage. 'You know what? Fuck the original plot. Fuck being friends with the protagonist. I'm going to take everything from this smug bastard and make him watch.'

'His fiancée? Mine now. His mother? I'll have her calling me daddy by the end of the month. His future harem? Every single girl is getting the Lucius treatment. His reputation as the hero? Destroyed. His grandfather's legendary technique? I'll learn it better than him and humiliate him with it. His favorite restaurant? I'll buy it and ban him from entry. This protagonist wants to play hero? Lucius's anger was so intense that he could feel space itself wanting to bend to his will and crush this arrogant prick into bloody paste.

But no… That would be too quick and too merciful for this bastard.

He calmed down with a deep sigh, his face becoming eerily calm and collected.

"Whatever, I'll go home now." Lucius said while turning around dismissively, however behind him near the backyard door stood Lily… her silver hair and blue eyes looked beautiful and striking but now that he saw her up close, she really looked like a less pretty Selene knockoff to him, to be honest.

'Speak of the devil...' Lucius thought. 'Let's see if she actually shows up tomorrow.'

"What do you want…?" He asked as he looked at her and her body locked up immediately.

'I'm… I'm not supposed to be this scared of him.' She thought as she swallowed nervously.

This was the same man that had been simping on her badly before he got into that coma and awoke two months ago.

He was a very different person now.

"I texted you… and called you multiple times, you didn't reply to any of them." She said while looking at the ground nervously.

"Are you entitled to a reply from me? I don't think so… and also stop calling me. It gets annoying seeing you and your alt account everytime I open Stitch." Lucius said and she gritted her teeth before calming down and taking a deep breath.

However Lucius just remembered what he had promised himself to do to that annoying bastard of a Protagonist.

"How is your relationship with Elliot?" Lucius asked, he was going to make her chase him… that would be more disgraceful for that guy than anything else.

"My relationship with Elliot?" She looked back toward the training grounds and smiled. "He's a very nice, loving person who's a bit of a training-"

"I asked a different question."

"O-okay. My relationship with Elliot is fine." She said and looked up at him, only to realize he was right in front of her suddenly.

The height difference was overwhelming, Lucius was taller than Elliot after all by several inches…

"Good." He leaned down to her ear and her cheeks brightened immediately. "I'll give you one chance to mend our relationship… you can plan something out like a date and I'll come, just one chance and nothing more. I'm not forcing you to come, however if you were to come, don't wear panties."

And the instant he said that… he vanished into thin air making Lily look around frantically, he had teleported away and she bit her lips.

'I wanted to apologize and ask why he was ignoring me… with the way he worded that, it's clear he wants to have sex with me. 'So much for my favorite protagonist… Guess power corrupts everyone, even the supposed heroes.'

All he wanted to do right now was to sleep and forget this frustrating day… he opened the door and Judea was on the ground, completely naked leaned over while looking at the flat screen TV intently.

Judea materialized a pair of clothes over herself instantly and Rita finally let go of the girls, a maid who had been cleaning in the room bowed at them respectfully.

"Masters… Master Lucius arrived just before you came, He looked at Master Judea for a second and then went upstairs, he didn't look too happy." She reported dutifully and Selene gave her a grateful smile.

"Thank you for letting us know… Alright Rita, please stay with the girls. I'll go check on him, Judea please search for some real yoga videos this time." Selene said and then advanced forward, walking upstairs and reaching Lucius's room.

She knocked on the door gently.

"Hubby, we're home…"

"Oh come in." Lucius said and she opened the door, to walk in on him taking off his shirt… she couldn't take her eyes off his upper body and muscular frame.

'That girl already made reservations at some fancy hotel… and I thought that would scare her off.' Lucius thought, right now he was more or less interested in researching on how to cuck Elliot in a way that would traumatize him permanently.

Selene closed the door behind her. "Can you believe that Judea was watching porn on the television in the living room?"

"No need, I already promised the old man I'd go myself." He said and Selene blinked, in an instant they were standing… now, Lucius was seated on the bed and she was on his lap. "I have to admit, I'm a bit stressed so should we fix that?"
