Chapter 1973: Chapter 1967: Multiple Personality Disorder
Qin Xue was thinking about the future of all sorts, but still finds the present more human and emotional, at least she wouldn’t become so merciless.
"Go ahead and give it your best shot, no matter how many moves you make, I’ll take them all." An Hao was looking for something to distract herself with right now, the busier the better. Would she be afraid of Qin Xue? The answer was, of course, no.
"Haha, ambitious are we, just don’t start crying for your mom and dad later," Qin Xue sneered aloud.
"Do you think I’m still at the age when I cry for my mom? I’m no longer like that, okay." When An Hao was a child crying for her mom, her mom didn’t even know where she was. Alone in the dark, she was scared, she cried, yet nobody came to comfort her, until later she became numb, and then changed, becoming strong.
She even felt herself asking if she was sick, in front of her family she was still that innocent little girl, but when alone she was terrifyingly cold. She had feared that version of herself too, but slowly she got used to it and found it quite good, being able to be both soft and hard, easy to retaliate when needed, quite a solid person.
If Qin Xue heard An Hao’s current thoughts, she would definitely tell her that she has multiple personalities, and if there’s schizophrenia, then that’s troublesome.
"Yes, we’ve already passed that age." Qin Xue was the same, from initial longing, to disappointment, and finally to numbness and habit.
"Qin Xue, we’re here." The two were talking and unknowingly arrived at the Nangong family.
"Indeed, it seems it’s better to have company, you arrive in no time." Qin Xue looked at the big house of the Nangongs, thinking that the people cleaning the place must be quite something.
"Yeah." An Hao nodded, when you have company, you can say anything that’s bothering you, no need to bottle it up inside, but she didn’t want to say anything, she just wanted to keep it inside.
"Hello, I am Qin Xue, I’m here to see your eldest daughter, is she at home?" Qin Xue explained her purpose at the guard post.
"I’m really sorry, our young lady went out for leisure and is not at home. You’d better go back, and I’ll tell her you came to see her when she returns." The guard looked at the two pretty young ladies coming to see their eldest, thinking how true the saying is—birds of a feather flock together. Their eldest is such a beautiful person, so her friends would be equally beautiful.
If Qin Xue knew what the guard was thinking, she would definitely be amused. Is this how the saying goes?
But when Qin Xue heard that Nangong Beiying was not at home, her heart skipped a beat. She was pregnant, where could she go to have fun?
"Then is your master at home? Can I see him? Just tell him I’m Qin Xue, a friend of your eldest, it’s up to him whether to see me." Qin Xue thought if she couldn’t see Nangong Beiying, she could at least see Nangong Kunpeng and ask him what’s going on with Yingying.
"Alright, let me go pass on the message." The guard didn’t open the door but turned and went inside to report.
"Qin Xue, didn’t you just come back? How come Yingying went out to play again?" An Hao looked at Qin Xue in confusion and asked.
"I don’t know either, let’s ask and we’ll find out." Qin Xue had no idea what was going on. She had just seen her a couple of days ago, and Beiying didn’t say anything about it. If she hadn’t come looking, she wouldn’t have known Nangong Beiying had left home.
