Chapter 2728: Take Presidential Suite
Chapter 2728: Chapter 2728: Take Presidential Suite
Long Hui did not even bother wasting his breath arguing or correcting her. Instead, with a flick of his wrist, he calmly drew an ultra-exclusive, matte-black card from his wallet and placed it flat onto the sleek counter.
The moment the receptionist and her nearby colleague caught sight of the unmistakable, elite black card, both of their smug expressions shattered and changed dramatically. Their eyes widened in absolute shock, and all the colour instantly drained from the receptionist’s face. In a luxury establishment like this, they knew all too well that a black cardholder wielded the kind of astronomical wealth and power that ordinary citizens simply could not afford to offend.
The receptionist immediately realised she had made a catastrophic, career-threatening mistake.
“I-I am so incredibly sorry, sir!” The receptionist hurriedly bent forward, bowing at a strict ninety-degree angle to beg for forgiveness.
“So, are we cleared to book the Presidential Suite then?” Yu Qi asked, her voice entirely even and calm.
“Yes! Of course! Absolutely, right away!” The receptionist nodded frantically, her hands trembling slightly as she pulled up the booking system. “M-May I please have your identification cards for the registration?”
Yu Qi and Long Hui each produced a set of official identification documents. However, neither of them utilised their real, high-profile identities. The papers had been flawlessly forged and prepared months in advance, specifically for high-risk missions like this. For this trip, Yu Qi was travelling under the alias of ‘Qin Yue,’ while Long Hui was operating under the name ‘Xie Likui.’
After meticulously checking the forged data, the receptionist quickly processed the transaction, her fingers flying across the keyboard to avoid keeping them waiting a second longer. Long Hui tapped his black card against the sleek payment terminal, and the massive authorisation went through instantly.
With both hands, the receptionist respectfully handed the gold-trimmed room key card over to Yu Qi, bowing her head.
“We truly hope you enjoy your luxurious stay at our hotel, Mr Xie and Mrs Xie.” The receptionist said, her tone now completely subservient.
Yu Qi gracefully accepted the key card with a faint smile, while Long Hui simply gave a cold, dismissive nod. The two of them turned away from the desk and casually walked toward the high-security elevator bank.
Once they reached the designated elevator, Yu Qi stepped forward and tapped the premium key card against the electronic access panel. A few moments later, a soft chime echoed through the foyer, and the heavy doors smoothly slid open.
The couple stepped inside the mirrored enclosure together. As the doors slowly sealed them in, Yu Qi casually tilted her head back, scanning the interior of the car. Her sharp gaze eventually landed squarely on the tiny lens of the surveillance camera mounted in the upper corner of the ceiling.
A deeply meaningful, calculating glint flashed briefly through her eyes as she prepared for whatever trap their enemies were about to spring.
Yu Qi immediately leaned into Long Hui’s side, her posture turning soft and coquetish as she tilted her head up. She whispered something entirely nonsensical into his ear, her lips brushing against his jawline to give the illusion of an intimate conversation.
Long Hui instantly understood her real intention, to blind any prying eyes looking through the security camera, and gave a subtle, imperceptible nod.
However, instead of simply playing along with the modest act as she had expected, he suddenly wrapped his strong arm securely around her waist, pulling her flush against his chest, and lowered his head. Before Yu Qi could even register his movement, he captured her lips in a deep, seamless kiss.
Yu Qi was completely stunned for a brief moment, her eyes widening against his shoulder. Realising he was taking full advantage of the situation, she playfully balled up her fist and thudded it against his solid chest.
“You…” Yu Qi glared at him, her cheeks flushing a beautiful pink colour.
Long Hui merely smiled faintly, a victorious, roguish glint dancing in his eyes. The two of them continued to play the part of a deeply infatuated, lovey-dovey couple, leaning into each other until the elevator finally reached its destination with a soft chime.
Ding.
The heavy metal doors smoothly slid open. The couple stepped out into the quiet corridor together, instantly shifting back into a professional, alert state as though nothing romantic had just happened.
There were only four exclusive rooms situated on this entire secure floor. They quickly located the grand double doors of their Presidential Suite and swiped the key card to enter the room.
As was their standard operating procedure whenever they entered a new environment, the very first thing they did after closing the door was conduct a sweeping, thorough tactical inspection of the entire suite. Both of them split up, carefully sweeping for any hidden pinhole cameras, audio recording devices, or any other sophisticated surveillance equipment left behind by previous guests or hostile organisations.
Fortunately, after checking every single vent, light fixture, and corner of the massive Presidential Suite, they found absolutely nothing suspicious. Only then did the rigid tension in their shoulders finally relax.
Yu Qi and Long Hui decided to take a brief, comfortable rest in the living area before heading downstairs to the specific floor where the elite medical conference was currently underway. Although she knew that Tang Qin Hao was an incredibly intelligent man who was more than capable of taking care of himself, Yu Qi still could not stop the protective worry from gnawing at her mind.
She already knew the exact layout of the conference hall. According to the internal schedule she had covertly gathered beforehand, ordinary medical professionals and regular attendees would only be permitted to enter the main hall on the second day.
