Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1094: Dragon Wind Empire

Chapter 1094: Dragon Wind Empire

While Xu Feng got the elite members to receive the items he had prepared for them, elsewhere, some people still remained ignorant of the brewing storm.

Dragon Wind Empire, Miracle Pavilion Base

"The total casualties that the Vanguard Guild received had increased to 3,000 players. The game forum post we made is trending at number 1, with many players actively posting their screenshot or recording of the feat." A member wearing the Miracle Pavilion emblem reported excitedly.

It hadn’t been long since someone dared to trifle with their Miracle Pavilion, and they had thought these nobodies would have learned to stay low.

Who could have imagined the Vanguard Guild to have lost their brain cells and wanted to attack them as a whole?

"Hmm, what about the Vanguard Guild’s movement?" Seated at the center of the meeting table was Luther. After the interview he had with the Divine News, he promptly returned to the Divine World to check up on the progress.

If it weren’t for the fact that the bosses wanted to publicize the matter and increase their prestige, he wouldn’t have bothered with a measly news media.

It was such a waste of time, especially with those crazed and ridiculous fans.

What was the point of being a fan when their usage was nothing more than a megaphone?

’Ugh, I don’t get why I needed to clown myself and play the script with those news anchors.’ Luther frowned upon recalling the interview. He was especially disgusted by the female anchor Priscilla, who kept giving him some flirtatious glances and signals.

As if he would be interested in some anchor when there were a ton more qualified women available for him to choose from. He was destined to rise in ranks and become a true elite in the upper society.

While Luther was silently frustrated, the members continued to report their latest findings.

"According to our intel network, most of the Vanguard Elite members have been recalled. They are no longer defending the perimeter, essentially giving up a lot of space."

"Hoh, are they planning on surrendering already?" Luther raised an eyebrow.

He had thought the Vanguard Guild had some cards up their sleeves, which was why they openly declared them hostile. Who could have imagined that he had barely made much of a move, but they were already left in shambles?

"They have yet to make any announcement, but I reckon it won’t be long. Maybe they are holding it out to avoid being a complete embarrassment." The member reported.

Anyone who was keeping up with the news would have known the Vanguard Guild had suffered massive losses. And this was all because of the Death Potion concocted by that mysterious player they managed to recruit temporarily.

"How boring! If that’s all they could amount to, then tell the rest to hasten their movements." Luther yawned, clearly losing his interest. So much commotion, only for it to be so lackluster, made him want to stomp this pesky ant to nothingness.

"Anyway, how is the production of Death Potion, Steve?" He then questioned, shifting the conversation.

"It’s going exactly as the contract stated." The member, Steve, flashed a bittersweet smile in response. "The person didn’t concoct any more or any less than the listed number in the contract."

"Seriously?" Exasperated, Luther just couldn’t fathom what was going on in the person’s mind. They had already stated that any excess amount would be purchased at a rate above 25% of the current price.

The Death Potion was a double-edged sword that enabled them to receive a high possibility drop rate upon killing enemies. But in return, the player who consumed such a potion would also suffer a bigger loss upon death.

Hence, they used numerical advantage and refrained from equipping them with quality gear.

And to complete this process, they were forced to reveal the Death Potion, which prompted many to request it.

Now, there was a huge demand for the item, but the supplier for it was being very difficult to deal with.

"What else does she want?" Luther frowned and asked, "Is she not satisfied with the price and wants to up it more?"

It wasn’t uncommon for these players who had valuable items to want to raise their price for a better deal.

"I don’t think that’s the case, Commander. She seemed more interested in other recipes from the materials we offered to her." Steve responded.

Upon hearing that, Luther’s brow furrowed.

’Ugh, it’s another one of those geniuses.’ He exhaled softly. Such geniuses could easily rake in a ton of money, but their mind wasn’t focused on them at all.

Dealing with such genius was extremely problematic because you can’t just force them; otherwise, the backlash would be severe.

Moreover, he couldn’t complain much either when the person was adhering to the contract without fail.

"Just let her be, then, and continue to supply her with the resources. She may be eccentric, but she’s at the very least reasonable in honoring the contract. We must keep such useful people—" Before Luther could finish his monologue, the door to the meeting room burst open.

Because the meeting room was considered confidential, the majority of system features, such as screenshot or recording, were disabled.

"Bad news, Commander!" A member ignored the gazes on him and locked eyes with Luther. "Our supply chain has been cut off!"

"The hell you mean cut off?" Alarmed, Luther stood up from his seat and slammed his palm. "We got our supplies through the sea, so how can it get cut off?"

Luther, being agitated and suspicious of the member lying or incorrect, wasn’t unfounded. At the current stage, sea travel was still extremely difficult for players to do. Their supply chain was also done by commissioning the NPCs at a skyrocketing price.

Knowing that Luther was skeptical of the report, the member requested, "Can the screenshot restriction be lifted momentarily?"

A few seconds later, Luther lifted the restriction and urged the latter to make haste. One wrong move from the member and that would be the end of their career.

Sometime later, a screenshot was revealed, with someone standing at the edge of a ship, their attire donned in complete blackness and a mask to conceal their face.

Despite such concealment, Luther’s face twisted in an ugly manner. "So this was his doing... Eclipse Nova."
