Chapter 1541: Legacy Era Part 11
Chapter 1541: Legacy Era Part 11
PotionHoarder’s eyes were sparkly as he gazed deeply at Blue Star.
"Ugh, take one and leave." Unable to withstand the disgusting stares, Blue Star took one of the potions and tossed it to him.
Sure enough, as a cat that got its tail stepped on, PotionHoarder screeched and hurriedly caught the potion. "How could you toss away such a sacred potion like that?"
His actions quickly caused the rest to react in disdain.
It was a good thing he was obsessed with potions and not other things.
Otherwise, who knows how creepy he could become?
Sometime later, PotionHoarder took his leave. He was definitely heading back to report his task completion to Jeanette.
"Anyway... I’ll send a live feedback of the enemy position to you all, so use that as an advantage." Carmen clasped her hands and sent them all a group invite.
Soon, all the elite team leaders accepted the group invitation and saw the stream.
Naturally, they were able to watch the live feedback of the Twilight Glades through Veronica’s screen.
"When did our guild set up a UAV?" Dark Night was dumbfounded. He looked around the sky and the surroundings, but found zero devices that could surveil them.
"Don’t even bother." Carmen chuckled. "If you could find it, then those Super Guilds could have found it long ago."
How could they ever expect to find it?
This surveillance was designed by the NPCs at least in Tier 5.
Players were only Tier 2, so unless they had some special affinity or talent, they could only dream about getting it.
Sometime later, Carmen wished them good luck as she took a Void Portal to escape.
Now that the town had been promoted to a city, she knew the defensive structure alone could deflect these dummies.
Hello, a city is nothing like a town!
The scale of a city was numerous times more than that of a town.
Of course, this secret was withheld from even the elite teams. Therefore, they really believed their city was still a town and that they needed to defend it with all their might.
’This is a good test to see how much they have improved. Feng overworked too much, so I can’t let him continue to work hard.’ Carmen was determined to help remove some of the heavy load from Xu Feng’s back.
She never knew how much he had sacrificed for her while he was handling so much of the workload himself.
The guilt was overwhelming her whenever she recalled him lying in a hospital bed.
Had she been a little bit dutiful in her role as Guild Commander and shared his burden, then maybe he wouldn’t have needed to work so hard.
Sometime later, Carmen returned to the City Hall.
"What’s the matter?" Veronica quickly noticed her mood had somewhat become down. "Did something go wrong with the members? If it is, let me know, and I’ll give them an earful."
"Nothing, I was just remembering how much of a slacker I am."
"Slacker? Who would dare call you that?"
"Forget it."
As if Carmen would really spill everything out.
Sometime later, the two changed the topic and focused on the screen.
Twilight Glades, Center Layer
"Okay, we’re in the center layer now. Past this, and we can get to Haven Wind Town."
"Curse this Vanguard Guild! They definitely knew we would attack them, so they turned off the Teleportation."
"I know, right. They want to drain us of our strength in this new updated region. But jokes on them! We didn’t come alone!"
While the members celebrated their victory early, they failed to notice a few shadows lurking above the tree branches.
"These Super Guilds are really quite dumb..." Dark Night was flabbergasted by their narcissism. They didn’t turn off the teleportation because of them.
In fact, it was stated that the town was undergoing reconstruction, so all members had to leave except for the top people.
Yet the Super Guilds thought it was intended for them.
How big an ego do they have?
"Benson, you see that person speaking earlier, right. Make sure to turn him into a porcupine later with your lance."
"Yes, Leader." Benson’s eyes flared up. He knew this was his chance to shine.
’This person... be a porcupine for me.’ He shifted his attention to the loudest speaker in the group, his hand clutching tightly on his lance.
After modification from Crimson Heart, his lance now had two special properties, explosion and stun.
When landing on a Critical Flesh Point in the first strike, a stun effect would be placed. Then afterward, Benson could trigger the explosion skill effect in the lance itself.
Yes, even a tank could deal deadly damage!
And that was all credited to Crimson Heart, the second-best blacksmith in the guild.
After all, Crimson Heart always claimed that their Guild Leader was superior, even though not many people had seen his work.
"Okay, get ready, Benson." Dark Night said when he noticed the opponents were about to make a move.
The signal began when the Blue Star team managed to lure the mini-boss in the center layer toward their opponents. It appeared to be a risky move, but given how much they trained in the Twilight Glades, this was lightwork.
Soon, the signal arrived.
"Incoming!" A scout from Ethereal sounded the alarm when they witnessed a group of four players rushing their way.
Without hesitation, the entire group hurled multiple spells and attacks in their direction.
"They fell for it." Blue Star flashed a cold smirk as she immediately teleported away. The same goes for her members.
In the meantime, the attacks continued to fly toward their original position.
BOOOM!
The attack landed alright...
It was just unfortunate that the attack wasn’t on the players, but on not just one or two mini-bosses. Instead, it was on three mini bosses.
"Fuck this scout..."
Someone among the group couldn’t help but curse at the scout from Ethereal.
Not only did they fail to plan ahead, but they even had an incompetent scout who made them trigger aggro on multiple mini bosses.
