Chapter 1574: Esports Tournament Part 1
Zhao Xin’s eyes widened in disbelief. If it wasn’t for the fact that she knew Xu Feng for a long time, she would have mistaken them as a scammer.
How was it possible for someone to guarantee top 10 in an esports tournament?
Keep in mind that this was an esport tournament sponsored by the world government. In other words, the participant teams would be numbered at an extremely high digit.
Even the top 1000 teams could be considered some of the best in such an event.
That was just how large of a scale the event was.
"Anna!" Zhao Xin immediately called out to her.
"I understand." Anna nodded her head and made sure to turn on every security measure.
Since the topic had gotten too sensitive, they needed to prevent even a single possibility of it being leaked.
All electronics were disabled, and there was no longer any service network present.
"You can elaborate more on that." Once that was done, Zhao Xin informed he could speak freely.
"How exaggerated." He mused in response. They thought it was something major. But for someone who had already witnessed that grand event, there was a lack of excitement or concern.
"It’s a necessity." Zhao Xin rolled her eyes. The upcoming esports tournament wasn’t any ordinary esport. It was a world government sponsored and had extreme ties to how their company could rise.
Xu Feng smiled awkwardly when he saw her stern expression.
Maybe because he had a lot of detail of what was coming which was why he wasn’t that concerned.
After all, the fear of the unknown was scary.
But once the unknown became known, it really wasn’t that scary.
All horror movies or games were like that once the main culprit was revealed.
"Anyway, enough of the stall and tell me." She demanded.
Xu Feng nodded and explained the new simulation in their Training Hall.
To give her a clearer example, he told her that Carmen had never led an actual war before until now.
"Your Guild Commander only had a few practices?" Anna’s eyes widened in shock. She couldn’t fathom about the horror if their Guild Commander had more practice in war.
Not to mention Anna, even Zhao Xin felt a cold chill running down her spine.
She kept a calm demeanor on the surface, but she was inwardly afraid.
Although Xu Feng only mentioned Carmen, the possibility that many more able commanders could be produced frightened her deeply.
What was more terrifying was that these commanders wouldn’t be able to act arrogant or conceit either.
Their own guild, the Dark Legion also only had a handful of commanders.
Aside from the fact that these people remained loyal to her, that loyalty wouldn’t be extended much.
’Because they know they can’t be replaced, I have to be lenient with their attitude. But if I can produce many more, are they even worth anything?’ Zhao Xin must admit that a few had been testing her patience lately.
With this newfound information, she could now give them a stern warning. If they understood her intention, she would be forgiving.
However, if they still refused her kind gesture, she wouldn’t mind ruining them altogether.
"What’s the catch?" She flashed a solemn expression and asked. Such a big opportunity naturally comes with a cost.
"No catch." Xu Feng raised his hand to indicate he came with goodwill. "All I want to ask is if you still want others to have shares in your company? I’m sure you know what I mean."
THUD!
Anna nearly stumbled to the ground when she heard his statement.
Nobody present in this room was a fool.
Although Xu Feng’s words were quite cryptic, the overall meaning was that if Zhao Xin wished to be the sole decision maker in the Zhao Enterprise and remove all other shareholders, this would be her chance.
Truth be told, Zhao Xin had long wanted to remove these shareholders.
Sure, they all believed her. But there were times when she found herself restrained because the shareholders refused to take some risk.
It was like a constant struggle and a big shackle placed upon her. Had it not been for the fact that the Zhao Enterprise was their Zhao Family Legacy, then she would have really wanted to dismantle it.
Unlike her two useless eldest brothers who couldn’t do anything alone without the surname Zhao, she alone could easily venture out as an independent entrepreneur.
"This is probably your idea, right?" Zhao Xin found it hard to believe the Vanguard Guild as a whole was willing to offer her such an opportunity.
There were simply too many better guilds out there that they could ally or cooperate with.
"I’m just an honorary elder." Xu Feng shrugged. "But then again, they asked me who can be trusted. Rather than choosing someone I have no idea about, I might as well choose someone trustworthy."
This was the truth.
With the latest update, the Legacy Era, the Vanguard Guild needed to start expanding its influence and relationship ties.
And it wasn’t the kind that was kept a secret or private, but one that had to be publicized.
But for that to happen, Zhao Xin needed to become the dictator. Otherwise, it was pointless to openly ally with her.
Zhao Xin also understood this point. ’The Vanguard Guild could no longer be called an upstart guild.’
They were transitioning to a higher state. Each step was gradually ascending and by now, the others realized their threat.
Unfortunately, it was a little bit far too late for the reaction.
The current Razor Nightmare was a perfect example in regards to Vanguard Guild’s resilience. The damages had far exceeded the losses they could sustain.
Not to mention, it was clear to everyone that the Vanguard Guild was a bunch of maniacs.
To destroy a mine cave without even considering the consequences was something that most would want to avoid antagonizing.
"To kick the other shareholders isn’t going to be easy." Zhao Xin leaned forward and smiled.
"Does little brother have any good plans for me?"
