Chapter 794: She Went Too Far

"You are wasting your time worrying about them. If you ask me, they are better off dead than alive," Mira offhandedly said, but suddenly she felt the air around her change, as a spine-chilling aura filled the entire room.

Mira's eyes shook as she saw Damien looking at her, his eyes an eerie jet black, while the atmosphere in the room turned as dark as it could get.

"Get out…" Damien said in a deathly cold tone as he got up and stood before her and an unnatural silence followed.

Mira had never seen him show such a stone-cold face that wasn't outright frightening, but his gaze was enough to make every fiber in her body shudder, not knowing why.

With a trembling chin, she bit down on her bottom lip as she said in a tremulous voice, "W-Why should I? You can't say—"

"I said get out!" Damien stepped forward as he pointed his finger at the door, making Mira lose color in her face as she stumbled backward, knocking over the glass on the table.

Mira wanted to yell at him for shouting at her, but no sound was coming from the back of her throat. Her eyes were getting red hot, and before she knew it, she walked out of the door and closed the door with a loud bang.

As she came out, her fists were clenched tightly as dark blue flames began to flare up from her palms, trying to burst out and unleash whatever she was feeling inside.

With an unnatural stiffness on her face, she walked away, leaving flaming hot footprints on the floor.

As she passed by some servants and maids, some of them even fell unconscious on the floor since the heat from her aura was too much for them to endure and collapsed.

The others quickly ran away lest her aura burns them to ashes. They wondered which devil pissed her off like this. They couldn't remember the last time she seemed this angry, and the fact that she wasn't shouting or showing any emotion on her face only made her seem even scarier.

Mira went straight to her room, and the moment her door was locked, dark blue flames flared from every inch of her skin and engulfed the entire room, "AARGGGG!!" She shouted as her skin became flushed, her face shaking uncontrollably.

She couldn't believe that she had run away just because that halfling had shouted at her. She…the only disciple of the Night Raven and a Noble Ghoul, running away from a half-human was like slapping her own face. It was as if she got possessed at that moment. She never thought she would humiliate herself like this, making herself appear weak before him, and thinking about it again only made her even angrier.

From the outside, the entire floor shook as the people inside wondered why their matriarch's disciple was training inside her room. However, only those who saw her walk away with a dark expression knew that she was probably venting her anger inside her room. But this was definitely a first, and they couldn't understand what had happened.

"You love your human wives that much?! Wait, till they know what you are. Then you will realize how two-faced they are!" Mira kept on shouting as she blasted her flames at whatever she saw.

Nobody even dared to go near her room lest they get killed accidentally.

If it were not for the fact that this entire building was made with powerful ancient stones, strong enough to contain even the power of the Thunder Guardian, Mira's dark blue flames would have already turned a major part of the building into ashes.

But despite being so strong, the walls still sustained scorched marks while everything inside was ashes already.

However, after a minute, her flames began to die down as her face had a vacant look, and she looked around to see that everything was a scorched mess.

On the other hand, right after Mira left, Damien shook his head as he rubbed his forehead, realizing that some things can't be changed.

He decided to not think about it and then saw the broken glass on the floor, making him look at the door with a glazed expression.

"Hmph, she deserved that. She had been getting on my nerves for a while," Luna said in a sharp tone and added with a smirk, "You really scared her, though. As expected, your anti-god energy must have some kind of effect on these ghouls who depend on nethereal energy."

Kalypso had a complicated look on her face as she said, "Master, I know what she said was wrong, but I think that maybe there was some kind of reason that made her say that."

Damien shook his head as he sighed, "Yes, there is one. The ghouls hate humans with every bone in their bodies. But that doesn't mean I will let her show her hatred to my face. She went too far."

Kalypso silently nodded and didn't say anything anymore.

"It's admirable that you want to stand up to your people, but as Damien said, it's best to let her know that some lines cannot be crossed. If he lets her get away with this, imagine what she would say next time," Luna said, supporting Damien, making Kalypso purse her lips and say with her hands on her hips, "That was not my intention. I just…nevermind."

Kalypso turned back into her sword form and went into deep meditation.

After making sure, Kalypso was out for good, Luna cleared her throat and said, "I didn't want to admit this before her but maybe…Kalypso is right."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know exactly. But only you can find that out," Luna said with a veiled smile, making Damien furrow his brows.

Elsewhere, Jayna sensed some commotion going on and quickly went to Mira's room.

And the moment she opened the door, her lips parted as she placed her hand on her mouth upon seeing the sight in front of her.
