Chapter 798: I Will Protect You
Chapter 798: I Will Protect You
"Shit…I can't learn this Starfall Lightning Arts…" Damien mumbled to himself with a dismayed look as he went through his clan's most powerful and sacred nethereal cultivation manual. He was quite looking forward to learning this.
"Hehe, I was waiting for you to realize that," Luna said with a smirk.
"So you knew all this time? And I got excited for nothing?" Damien realized he got his hopes up for nothing as he did really want to learn this art after seeing how powerful it seemed when his aunt used it.
"I wanted you to try and see anyway. But you should have known by now that you can't learn two cultivation arts for the same elemental seed, let alone a second one that disagrees with ethereal energy. You either have to get rid of the lightning cultivation arts I gave you or stick with it. Which will it be, now?" Luna asked with crossed arms as her gaze was fixed on him.
Damien felt as if he was being tested, but since he knew Luna's art was the best there was, he sighed and said, "Of course, I will be sticking to yours. It's not like I can use this in my battle against that slave anyway."
Luna smiled with a pleased look, "Good. You at least know to discern the best."
Kalypso harrumphed upon seeing Luna gloat about the superiority of her ethereal arts and said, "You are just lucky Anti-God isn't here. Otherwise, my Master would have definitely chosen his."
"You little…" Luna rushed towards her to spank her buttocks, making Kalypso quickly turn into her sword form to ward her off, "Not so fast!"
Damien chuckled in amusement, seeing these two going at it again for the silliest things.
He felt as if his entire body and mind were aching. His body was tired after training from day to night while his mind was still feeling down, thinking about his women.
There was still a lingering fear inside his heart, especially thinking about Valentina, who was supposed to be dead. But since she was not, he didn't know when the heavens would try to claim her life again.
"You should go and rest. Enough of training today. I don't want you getting burned out and being a burden on me," Luna said firmly after noticing how his mood wasn't still right.
Damien sighed and said, "Right, I will just go and sleep," By now, Damien had gotten used to sleeping at night because of his aunt insisting every night. It had already become like a routine to him.
However, he still had yet to get used to sleeping with an aunt whose tempting beauty was testing his body and mind.
It was as if his years of training the body and mind amounted to nothing whenever he was too close to her. He blamed it all on his draconic blood, yet he couldn't help but feel that her presence did indeed make him feel at ease.
He walked towards his aunt's room while the passing by servants and maids whispered amongst themselves, feeling glad that the new human slave was being put to rigorous work every day by their matriarch.
However, the moment he entered, the smell of aromatic food and drinks wafted through his nose.
"Aunt?" Damien was astonished to see a huge table in the middle of the room, atop which all kinds of appetizing food and drinks were kept.
And his aunt was arranging the food on the table and showed a beautiful smile upon seeing Damien, "Damien, I have been waiting for you. Come, let's eat."
Damien still had a baffled look since she never did this for the past week, "Is there any special occasion?"
Akira's gaze softened as she walked up to him and hugged him, "Jayna told me about what happened, and I know how sad you are thinking about your wives. I really wish I could help you, but so far, I couldn't find your wives nearby. The only option is to extend our search to other areas, but it won't be easy since humans would be hiding in the shadows, waiting to trap and kill us. We have lost a good number of men and women to them every day. But I will keep trying."
Damien's expression became heavy, learning that his wives weren't near at all. Where did they end up when they crossed the barrier? His soul connection to them only lets him know if they were alive and if they were close to dying. But he can never know if they were sad or suffering.
Akira raised her head to look up at him and cupped his cheeks to make him look at her, "I know I can't help you right away, but I wanted to at least make you happy by letting some good food into your stomach. I feel sad seeing you down like this."
Damien felt bad seeing her being so worried and sad for him and said as he held her hands, "I am sorry for making you worry like this, aunt. I just can't help it, but I know that getting stronger is the only way I can do anything about it."
"That's my boy," Akira said with a happy smile as she tiptoed to kiss his cheek gently, making Damien take a deep breath.
The two of them sat down to eat right away, and Damien was distracted by how tasty the food was, and the more he ate, the more he felt hungrier for more.
Akira barely ate as she spent the entire time eagerly watching Damien eat it like a famished beast, making her smile.
Damien felt as if he was able to put down some of his sorrows to rest after eating such good food and couldn't feel more thankful to his aunt for it.
Just as the two got onto the bed, Akira suddenly pulled him down and made him lie down and let his head rest on her thighs, "Aunt?" Damien asked with a confused and surprised look, though he was astonished at how soft her thighs were. It was like his head might melt into them.
And looking at her from below, he could see her voluptuous breasts hanging over his face, making him take a deep breath to calm himself down. He can't let her see him getting big down there and embarrass himself.
Akira softly smiled as she massaged the sides of his temple "I just want to look at you as you sleep today. Only a week left for your fight, and I will help your body feel refreshed by the time you wake up."
Damien was already feeling drowsy as her slender, soft hands were making him feel tipsy from her massage. It was like he was slowly slipping into heaven, and he couldn't remember the last time he felt such peace in his mind.
As he went into a deep sleep, Akira mumbled with a determined gaze, "I will protect you, my Damien. I won't lose you again…"
And like this, every day, he slept on her lap for the entire week till it was finally the day for the battle.
