Chapter 484: There is no woman worthy of monopolizing him

The silence that hit the private box hard was the last of the things Xie Feng expected.

What Xie Feng expected once he revealed his "stranger" and even expected to receive some scorn due to the relationship he had with the other beauties, he even expected to be greeted with a lot of shocked shouts, etc. However, the only thing that greeted him was brutal silence.

He subconsciously glanced at Xie Yao and the rest of the girls to make sure that time hadn’t frozen or something since looking at the faces of Yue Kai and the rest of his friends Xie Feng found that they had even stopped breathing, scaring him a bit.

"This..." Hu Chen glanced at Yue Kai and Xiao Chen before looking at Xie Feng. However, he did not stop there as after a few moments his eyes shifted to Xie Yao, Gu Qianxue, and finally to Shen Xinya only to return to Xie Feng again and say in a somewhat hoarse voice, "Elder brother Xie.... You’re joking, aren’t you?"

Xie Feng looked at Hu Chen with a serious expression on his face and after a few seconds of deadly silence sighed with his eyes closed. He plopped down on the back of his seat and said in a somewhat tired voice, "Hu Chen, do you think I’m the kind of person who would joke about something so serious? We’re talking about romantic feelings here, not about dinner tonight."

Of course, Hu Chen knew perfectly well the kind of person Xie Feng was when it came to important relationships. If he was so serious about friendship then there was no room to doubt that Xie Feng would definitely be infinitely more serious when it came to romance. It was just that even if Hu Chen knew what kind of person his friend was, it wasn’t easy for him to accept what he had just heard.

In fact, it was not only Hu Chen who was having this problem but Yue Kai and Xiao Luo were the same; which was why they were still frozen in their places without moving even an inch.

The three of them met Xie Feng more than three years ago. At first, it was a bit difficult to approach him as Xie Feng seemed disinterested in any kind of friendly relationship with strangers, however, as the four of them were dorm mates, it didn’t take long before natural conversations began to form.

From a simple, "Hey, do you have today’s notes?", the relationship among the four grew to the point where before they knew it, they were chatting about more intimate things or hanging out together; effectively becoming friends without really aspiring to be friends.

About a year later, Xie Yao was admitted into Shanghai University and not even a day had passed when her beauty became known to all the male students. However, to the trio’s surprise, Xie Feng introduced them to this new campus beauty as his girlfriend.

From that moment on, Hu Chen, Xiao Luo, Yue Kai, Xie Yao, and Xie Feng spent at least one or two hours together every day as they met for lunch. In fact, there were more than a few occasions when they went out to have fun during the evening as well.

One could only try to understand the shock that the three of them received upon learning that apart from Xie Yao, Xie Feng was actually in a romantic relationship with three other women.... Hu Chen and the other two couldn’t help but feel that the Xie Feng they knew was actually nothing more than the outer skin of the real Xie Feng.

"Sister-in-law... You... This..." Xiao Luo seemed to want to ask Xie Yao something but was hesitating on whether he should ask it or not.

However, Xie Yao knew Xiao Luo well enough to understand what was weighing on his mind. After all, Xiao Luo was a simple young man who was raised in the mountains; to him, something like polygamy was not too well regarded as he surely thought that at least one would always get hurt.

Fortunately, Xie Yao calmed his worries with a beautiful smile and her angelic voice: "Don’t worry... In fact, it wasn’t big brother Xie who chased after this kind of polygamous relationship but it could be said that I was the one who pushed him slowly until we finally met in this place."

"But, sister-in-law... Why?" Yue Kai asked Xie Yao though his complicated eyes stopped for a moment on Shen Xinya.

Xie Feng naturally did not miss the slight movement and could not help but force a smile into his heart. Yue Kai often joked about Shen Xinya being the true goddess of his heart, for at least two years now he had been hearing him say those words every time Shen Xinya was on the news or gave a concert somewhere in the world. Precisely because of that, Xie Feng expected Yue Kai to feel a bit awkward upon learning that this goddess of his heart was actually the lover of one of his best friends.

"Why...?" Xie Yao whispered. Her eyes seemed to fall into a trance as thousands of images replayed in her head just like a movie in reverse. However, most of those memories contained information that ordinary people like Yue Kai and the rest were not supposed to know to avoid damaging their daily lives.

Therefore, Xie Yao simply said with a loving and warm smile, "Big brother Xie Feng sacrificed many things for me and has surely done more than I know in silence... Besides, considering his true self, I don’t feel that I’m worthy enough to keep him all to myself alone."

"Yao Yao, you..." Xie Feng looked at Xie Yao with wide eyes when he heard her say that.

However, Xie Yao looked at him and said without hesitation, "I know you don’t think like that, it’s just my own thinking... No matter if it’s about strength, intelligence, hard work, overall talent... In every aspect, I am inferior and there is no need to deny it."

As if to express her support, Gu Qianxue nodded from the side, "Indeed. Even my father and the ancestor of my Gu Family need to give respect to Xie Feng."

Yue Kai and the other two already knew about Gu Qianxue’s true identity, therefore, hearing her say that even her father and her family’s ancestor needed to be respectful to someone who was the same age as them and with whom they had shared the same room on several occasions, with whom they had gone out drinking, and with whom they had shared sorrows and joys... one could only try to imagine the shock they felt.

Xie Yao nodded gratefully towards Gu Qianxue before continuing, this time, her voice more gentle: "There are things that are better for you not to know, otherwise, your daily lives and possibly that of your families will be affected.... Shen Xinya had been silent all this time but when she heard Xie Yao’s words, she could not stop the corner of her mouth from twitching slightly. For some reason, she felt that those last words were especially directed at her.

But in fact, Shen Xinya did not know how strong Xie Feng was since she was not present during the battle in the Atlantic Ocean let alone witnessed when Xie Feng went into outer space to fight against a true god; all she knew was that he was a powerful ability user, that was all.

It seemed that she would have to ask for some proof later or else Shen Xinya would continue feeling that she was falling behind in certain aspects.

Xie Yao covered her mouth and let out a chuckle when she saw Shen Xinya’s expression. Then, she continued, "Besides, Yue Kai, I’m not the first person who really loved big brother Xie Feng nor am I the first one he loved.... In fact, even Mu Wuying isn’t."

The words of Xie Yao contained a hint of hidden bitterness that was hard to notice. She wasn’t sad about not being the first, she was simply sad that she hadn’t met him sooner. Although Xie Yao was aware that for such a thing to happen she would have to have been abandoned by her family when she was still a child, she could not help but for an instant wish it so; such was the immensity of her love for Xie Feng.

"Isn’t the sister-in-law? Mu Wuying is also not the first one he loved?" Hu Chen was surprised when he heard this.

Then, a slightly proud voice interrupted:

"His first love is me, without a doubt."
