Part 6

A storm was raging.

Every time the big man swung his axe, the monsters around him were shredded by the wind pressure alone.

No one could approach, and everyone was terrified in the face of the brutal storm.

But at the center of it all was a beautiful woman. Even as the wind tore at her flesh, she kept a cool expression on her face and skillfully moved her legs to avoid the slashing blows.

Despite the noise around her, she was the only one living in another world, like a girl dancing in a field of flowers.

“You’re too strong to be a simple woman of the demon race.”

The axe-wielding big man, Null, the chief of the Marked Tribe, licked his lips.

“And you’re not bad looking either; I’ll take you as my wife.”

The woman before him smiled happily when he complimented her on her looks.

“Every gentleman says that when he sees me.”

“That’s probably true! How about this, if you become my wife, I will hurt you just enough to keep you from dying.”

He revealed his desire and stared at the woman with a wild face.

“Unfortunately, I must decline.”

Claudia, the woman praised by the people as the “Purple Silver Princess,” tucked her sidelocks behind her ear with her slender fingertips and smiled.

“I have no intention of accepting a husband right now, and you are not my type.”

Claudia did not hide her true feelings.

She would not take a husband to defend her throne.

However, it was also true that the royal bloodline will cease to exist if she does not have a child and produce an heir.

There was a little thought in that area, but there was no need to go out of her way to tell the man in front of her.

Claudia looked at Null again and thought about what would happen later.

The big man, who was at the other end of the spectrum of preferences, was red in the face with anger, as if he thought he had been mocked.

“I see.”

He swung a huge axe down as if to strike her with his otherworldly physical strength. Claudia’s expression did not change, and she dodged by jumping aside as if dancing. The place where the prey had disappeared collapsed with the impact, sending up a cloud of dust.

Null’s giant hand approached Claudia through the dust cloud.

“Then I’ll tear you limb from limb and take you with me.”

He will not let his favorite prey escape. The arrogant big man explains with a hint of cruelty.

“I, too, am a guilty woman.”

Claudia slaps a hand larger than her own face with her slender arm.

The sound was loud enough to echo across the battlefield, but it contained a clear rejection.

Null, who reported being badly shaken in the presence of so many eyes, had a clear murderous intent burning in her eyes.

“All right. That’s enough, you’re dead.”

The giant axe swung mercilessly.

Claudia hid behind the monster, feeling the wind blow pleasantly against her skin, but the soft wall was soon smashed over her head. Then she pushes off the flesh-eater’s legs and lets it fall into the void, where it was smashed to pieces. As the giant axe that killed friend and foe alike approached, Claudia grabbed the head of a Marked Tribe with both hands and turned it upside down while its replacement was sliced through the body and sunk to the ground. At the same time, Claudia landed on the ground, looked around, and could not find an affordable shield.

So, with gratitude, Claudia thanked him with the grace of a noblewoman.

“Thank you very much. Thanks to you, I was able to get to the front without any trouble.”

She smiled, bringing the back of her hand to her lips. Modest like a lady, arrogant like a young noble.

Null, his head filled with blood, looked around at Claudia, who was acting strangely.

It’s a hellscape. The world in his vision was full of corpses.

It was war, of course, and there was no battlefield in any world without corpses.

However, Null’s vision was filled with the corpses of monsters, flesh-eaters, and the Marked Tribe on his side of the battlefield.

“What the hell is this…?”

Claudia looked up at the horrified Null with a cold smile on her face.

“You can’t see what’s going on around you when you’re so obsessed with me, can you?”

A sweet whisper entered Null’s ears.

“…..”

Null looked down in horror at the woman, who was two times smaller than he was.

There she was, laughing, an evil woman with a bewitching aura that could bring a man to his knees.

“You even lose track of time when you play with me, don’t you?”

The way she exhaled in ecstasy was so sweet that it made one’s hips shake, and a smile appeared on her glossy lips that aroused everyone. She wore an air of serenity like a goddess, but her eyes bore black emotions like the grim reaper.

“I have no more use for you.”

All emotion was gone from her.

Her face wanted nothing. The face expected nothing.

Claudia’s face was painted with disgust.

“You are disgusting.”

“Wha… You…”

The huge body was blown away by the kick of the woman who was two times smaller than him, which easily put his back on the ground.

“From now on, you will be the next to amuse me.”

It was a queenly command. As if to assert her superiority, the absolute queen looked down at Null in an arrogant and disrespectful manner. Not even trying to hide her offensive nature, she kicked Null in the leg and gave him a sensual look.

“You see, run away. If you don’t want to die, run. I will chase you wherever you want.”

The blood drained from Null’s face as he stared in amazement at the leopard-turned-Claudia.

Next, Claudia delivered a shocking blow that awakened the dazed Null.

A giant arm flew through the air. It spun several times and fell to the ground, splattering blood.

Null, frowning at the intense pain, finally came to his senses and stood up.

“…Don’t you dare make a fool of me?”

The flames of revenge flared in him, but they were quickly extinguished.

It was the piercing gaze of absolute zero.

“I told you to run, didn’t I?”

Don’t disobey. That was implicit in the tone of her voice.

It was as if she wanted to explain that he was bait, that he was her plaything.

“Oo… ooooh!”

As if to reap the terror, Null swung his giant axe at Claudia’s head.

Giggles rode the wind. It contained much disappointment for those who defied the queen.

“Nonsense! What is this power?”

An incredible scene unfolded before Null’s eyes as he shouted.

He must have thought he had swung down with all his might.

But the huge axe was caught by Claudia.

But her beloved sword, Asura, was in her left hand.

Claudia had caught the giant axe with her bare hands.

“That’s enough.”

As if to express her emotions, snow fell.

The snow crystals that fell to the ground seeped into the ground, driven by the wind.

Claudia stared at the shivering Null with ruthless eyes.

“You shall die.”

No mercy. No affection.

She despised Null as if she were looking at a broken toy.

It was an outpour of emotions far removed from those of ordinary humans.

But this was the true nature of the demon race.

It was the natural resource of the demon race that once terrorized the central continent.

Others needed to beg for forgiveness.

The weak must beg for mercy.

All must bow before the supreme being.

For she is the Ice Queen―Claudia van Levering.

She is the absolute ruler who sits atop the demon race.

“Damn you!”

Null swore, turned away, and started to run. But he immediately fell to the ground with a mighty thud. With a confused mind, he looked down at his feet and saw that they were frozen. Then he heard small footsteps, and his eyes were caught by the huge amount of high energy approaching.

“Here, this is your weapon.”

Claudia picked up the huge axe Null had thrown and threw it.

“Wha――!”

The axe fell on both of Null’s legs in a parabolic trajectory.

Seeing his legs shattered, Null could do nothing but roll around on the ground.

Claudia pushed the Asura into his flailing arms to stop him from moving.

“You are pathetic. You’re from the Marked Tribe, aren’t you? Try regenerating.”

Null realized that he could not “regenerate at super speed” until he was told to do so. The source of the problem was soon discovered. The wound had frozen, blocking regeneration.

“This is…”

“Fufu, I’m so sorry. I tried to stop the bleeding, but I guess it just got in the way.”

While happily stomping on the huge body, Claudia kicked Null’s right arm, shattering it.

“My foot slipped. I’m sorry. But don’t worry, I stopped the bleeding.”

She said blandly, her face growing more and more ecstatic.

Resisting the urge to scream in joy, she watched Null’s face freeze in horror, her body trembling with excitement.

“Forgive me… what have I done to you!”

“You looked at me with disgusting eyes, didn’t you? That alone is worthy of a death sentence.”

The Asura was stabbed repeatedly into his body, just enough to keep Null from dying.

As the blood flowed, she froze it, stopping the bleeding and repeating the process.

Claudia made a hole in his huge body, leaving no space.

“It’s disgusting. Disgusting. Disgusting. Disgusting.”

“Higyaaaah, ah-ahhhh!”

“It reminded me of a terrible memory―my brother. How could I ever forgive you for giving me that same creepy look?”

Null’s cries echoed across the battlefield. The sound of laughter mingled with the gaps between them.

“Besides, didn’t I promise to cut you into little pieces?”

With a cruel smile on her face, Claudia continues to hurt Null without stopping.

“I’m not a devil either, you know. If I keep my promise, you will be killed.”

With a benevolent smile like a goddess, she thrust the sword blade, bathed in sunlight, into Null’s face.
