Shrouding the Heavens

Chapter 481: Chapter 486: Slaying the Saint Heir

Chapter 481: Chapter 486: Slaying the Saint Heir

The old madman’s strength left everyone speechless. Even half-step sovereigns who could dominate a region were crushed to death by his grip. Who in this world could possibly rival him?

“Saints of old are now referred to as ‘Ancient Saints,’ meaning they are no longer seen in the present age. Yet, how does he resemble a Saint so strongly?!”

“Is he truly a living Saint in this era? This is simply too terrifying!”

“Even in ancient times, Saints rarely appeared. Has a living one truly emerged now?”

The crowd was stunned. Unable to discern the old madman’s Realm, they could only compare him to the Ancient Saints, especially after witnessing the might of that gigantic hand. It had extended for tens of miles, completely blanketing heaven and earth. Who in the present day could achieve such a feat? It was as if an Ancient Saint had walked into the current era.

At this moment, no one was more delighted and excited than the big black dog. Its mouth grinned from ear to ear as it chuckled silently, its four large paws digging firmly into the ground, its broad head swaying back and forth.

Li Heishui, though filled with shock, also chuckled. The divine figure beside him was overwhelmingly powerful; no one could withstand a single strike from him. With such a person at one’s side, one would have absolute confidence even when facing the Emperor of the Central State Immortal Dynasty, fearing no one.

“Uncle…” The pitiful little girl blinked her large, black gemstone-like eyes. She too sensed the old madman’s power and called out softly from his shoulder.

At this time, the old madman remained silent. Towering two or three heads above an ordinary person, he appeared immensely majestic and tall, like an immortal god-demon. Thick black hair draped across his chest and back, obscuring his bronze-colored face. Yet, he emitted not a sliver of an aura, making it impossible to sense his Realm. This very fact made him seem all the more mysterious, as everyone had just witnessed him display unparalleled combat power that commanded their awe.

On the other side, the Yin Yang Saint Heir was filled with bitter regret. The strange man not far off was like a divine lord, making his heart pound in his chest. Had I known, I would never have come to intercept these few. While the old madman might not necessarily attack me, his presence alone is terrifying.

By this point, he had battled Ye Fan for five hundred rounds but had been unable to secure victory, and restlessness was gradually setting in. It had to be said, the Yin Yang Saint Heir was indeed powerful. Among the younger generation, he was one of the few supreme individuals who had reached the first transformation of the Dragon Transformation Realm. However, he couldn’t overpower Ye Fan. After fighting for so long, he was still unable to kill his opponent, whose golden Blood Qi surged to the heavens, seemingly inexhaustible, filling him with dread.

CLANG!

The Holy Sword in the Yin Yang Saint Heir’s hand emitted black and white radiance, seeming to sever space-time itself, exuding an incredibly sinister and terrifying aura. Each sword strike not only sliced open the void but also seemed to freeze time, constantly exerting immense pressure on Ye Fan. Although this Yin Yang Sword was merely a Saint Master Level weapon, it had a grand lineage, being the exclusive War Weapon for successive Saint Heirs, possessing unfathomable might.

SHK!

A black sword aura descended like a mountain range, the power of nothingness surging, nearly imprisoning Ye Fan within the sky. This was the bizarre spatial power it manifested.

ZING!

Then, a white sword aura erupted, vibrating like ripples, a vast expanse of white that seemed to freeze time itself—truly terrifying. Time hadn’t actually stopped; rather, the field emitted by the Yin Yang Sword was distorting, and some law of the Dao was evolving, creating a strong illusion. If Ye Fan hadn’t cultivated the Divine Eye, he would have fallen into a dreadful situation. Even so, he had to fight with utmost caution.

DANG!

Ye Fan’s golden fist broke through the void, striking heavily against the Yin Yang Sword. The impact made the Yin Yang Saint Heir’s arm go numb, and he rapidly retreated into the void. I dare not clash directly with the Sacred Body’s physical might. No one in the current younger generation dared to risk it; everyone knew that Ye Fan could only be suppressed by overwhelming magical power.

SWISH!

The Yin Yang Saint Heir’s speed was extremely fast. He transformed into a Yin Yang Diagram and flew through the void like a streak of light. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to flee, to get far away from the old madman; however, Ye Fan had locked onto him, making escape impossible. He was forced into this defensive battle.

“If you had brought the Yin Yang Mirror, I would have no hope. Unfortunately, you only brought the Yin Yang Sword. It’s impossible for you to suppress me,” Ye Fan sneered.

The Yin Yang Mirror was a divine artifact refined by Ancient Saints, a Supreme Treasure. Without an Extreme Dao Holy Weapon, it was peerless. Possessing the Yin Yang Mirror was enough to sweep through the world.

“You’re just a half-crippled Sacred Body! Today, I *will* kill you!” The Yin Yang Saint Heir calmed himself, no longer thinking about the old madman. He knew that if he didn’t kill Ye Fan now, he definitely wouldn’t be able to escape.

CLANG!

The Yin Yang Sword flashed with light and soared into the sky, suspending itself above the Yin Yang Saint Heir’s head. Strands of Yin Yang Qi cascaded down, enveloping him. The primal black and white Yuan Qi evolved into a Yin Yang Diagram, fixed in the void like a Divine Wheel, with the Yin Yang Sword itself acting as the Yin Yang Division Line. A mysterious and terrifying aura permeated the air. The Yin Yang Saint Heir seemed untouched by all laws; whenever Ye Fan’s golden fist struck, the Yin Yang Diagram above his head would scatter Divine Light, deflecting the blow each time. This was a secret treasure passed down through generations in the Yin Yang Sect, profound and unfathomable, engraved with the laws of the Dao. Now, it resembled the wheel of a divine king, capable of ordaining all.

“I am invulnerable to all techniques, and the power of the Dao cannot harm me! Let’s see how you’ll contend with me!” the Yin Yang Saint Heir proclaimed, bolstering his own conviction to unsettle his opponent’s mind.

Ye Fan remained unperturbed, his gaze fixed on the Yin Yang Diagram, his mind a state of tranquil clarity. He was comparing it with his own Tai Chi Divine Map, carefully pondering its intricacies. From his opponent’s manifestation, he gained much enlightenment and inspiration. In that instant, it felt as if countless slivers of Dao Light flashed through his mind.

SWISH!

Ye Fan’s hands moved, also manifesting a Divine Map, imprinted from within himself. It appeared mysterious and unfathomable, pulsating in unison with the Great Dao.

HUMPH!

The Yin Yang Saint Heir snorted coldly. His left hand formed a Yin Diagram, his right hand a Yang Diagram, and he shouted, “Yin Yang Unity, invincible beneath the heavens!”

BOOM!

He struck forward with immense force. This was one of the Yin Yang Sect’s world-shaking divine arts. Once Yin Yang Unity was achieved, combat power could increase by four to five times, rendering the user unstoppable. In years past, a Saint of the Yin Yang Sect had once swept across the Central States using this Holy Technique. If he hadn’t encountered the All Character Secret of the Nine Secret Arts in the Eastern Wastelands, he would have been virtually invincible in the world.

Ye Fan dodged. He didn’t want to use the All Character Secret to counter his enemy. Instead, he earnestly focused on evolving the Tai Chi Divine Map using the Fighting Saint Technique. His left hand, embodying extreme Yin, transformed into Ultimate Soft Power. He moved gently, like embracing the moon or pushing a ball, guiding the Dao Qi to deflect a portion of the opponent’s tyrannical divine energy before retreating. Ye Fan was taking a risk in this life-and-death duel to comprehend his own “Dao.” He circulated the Ultimate Soft Power to resist the Yin Yang Saint Heir. Although its killing power wasn’t immense, it was persistent and inexhaustible.

“Courting death!” The Yin Yang Saint Heir saw through his intentions, his expression turning cold. He crossed his arms, achieving Yin Yang Unity, and his divine power surged, increasing massively.

BOOM!

The black and white aura, like a falling river of stars, plummeted down—vast, deafening, and shattering the very sky.

Ye Fan’s expression changed, and he swiftly retreated. His opponent’s combat power had increased by a full four to five times. Such attack power was exceedingly terrifying; even he dared not easily face it head-on. Employing the old madman’s footwork, he vanished like a wisp of smoke into the void. He darted away, reappearing in the distant sky.

“Not so easy to escape!” The Yin Yang Saint Heir sneered. With the Yin Yang Diagram above his head, he transformed into a beam of light and gave chase. This was an absolute pressure. Yin Yang Unity formed an extremely terrifying deterrent. For a Saint Heir at the first transformation of the Dragon Transformation Realm to increase his combat power four to five times was an astonishing feat.

The onlookers couldn’t help but marvel. The supreme Holy Technique of the Yin Yang Sect seemed to draw upon the very creative forces of heaven and earth; if one could obtain it, they would be nearly invincible among their peers, standing undefeated.

“Do you really think I’m afraid of you?!” Ye Fan sneered, evolving the Tai Chi Divine Map. His form quickly grew indistinct, transforming himself into a natural image of the Dao. His figure vanished, leaving only a scroll-like image hanging in the air, permeated by Dao Qi, leaving everyone stunned.

Ye Fan used the Divine Map to confuse the world while secretly activating the All Character Secret. After more than a hundred attempts, he succeeded, and under the guise of the mysterious natural image of the Dao, he struck out fiercely.

BOOM!

This was an earth-shattering confrontation. The All Secret boosted his combat power tenfold, clashing against his opponent’s fivefold amplified strength. The heavens collapsed as if the end of the world had arrived. Nothing could be seen; everything was obliterated into fragments. Endless torrents of chaotic energy raged, causing the ten directions to tremble. A massive fissure, several miles long, cracked open on the barren land.

The Yin Yang Saint Heir was sent flying backward, violently coughing up blood. Even the Divine Map formed by the Yin Yang Sword could not protect him; his body was nearly torn apart.

“What Holy Technique do you possess?!” he shouted in utter shock.

“Are you surprised? I can even break the Heavenly Demon Slaughter Technique. What does your Yin Yang Sacred Skill amount to?” Ye Fan responded nonchalantly.

“You…” The Yin Yang Saint Heir was filled with shock and uncertainty. For a moment, he thought of the All Character Secret, one of the Nine Secret Arts. Ancestral legends claimed it was their nemesis. However, he also knew the terror of the Heavenly Demon Slaughter Technique. It was common knowledge that Ye Fan had once decisively defeated this Heavenly Demon Sacred Technique, relying on this very Divine Map as his foundation.

“The Yin Yang Sacred Skill is nothing special!” A cold smile touched Ye Fan’s lips.

“Let me show you my true Yin Yang Sacred Skill!” the Yin Yang Saint Heir roared. His body erupted with boundless radiance and then, astonishingly, split into two.

SWISH!

He instantly became two people: one dressed in snow-white, the other in ink-black. He had transformed into two distinct forms, an incredibly bizarre sight.

“He actually mastered such a world-shaking divine art! His true form has manifested as a Yang Incarnation and a Yin Incarnation! This is the truly invincible form of the Yin Yang Sacred Skill!” the distant crowd gasped.

The Yin and Yang Incarnations joined forces. Like two deities, they exuded a terrifying aura, seemingly possessing power that could connect heaven and earth.

Ye Fan frowned. The Yin and Yang Incarnations had emerged together, their power of the Dao flowed ceaselessly, appearing indestructible and radiating an extremely dangerous feeling.

Sure enough, the battle reignited. The combat power of the Yin and Yang Incarnations was astonishing. They fought Ye Fan for over a thousand rounds, and they grew stronger with each exchange.

“Good! Your understanding of the Supreme Mysterious Meaning of Yin Yang has deepened yet again!”

“Indeed. You’ve made significant progress. The Yin Yang Dao should indeed continue to evolve in this manner.”

From the distant sky, seven or eight powerful cultivators flew over. Among them, two old men stroked their beards, nodding continuously, very satisfied with the Yin Yang Saint Heir’s performance. Reinforcements from the Yin Yang Sect had arrived! Several Grand Elders, whose lifespans were nearing their end, had come personally. Among them were figures at the Great Power Level!

The Yin Yang Saint Heir was startled. He had witnessed the old madman’s terrifying might with his own eyes and wanted to warn them, but he found himself unable to utter a word as an overwhelming pressure enveloped him.

Ye Fan launched his most terrifying offensive. The life-and-death duel was about to reach its climax. He had observed the Yin Yang Diagram for a long time, and they had already fought for fifteen hundred rounds. He didn’t want to delay any longer. Ye Fan’s body transformed into a dragon-shaped curve, manifesting the Dao Mark. He shot forward like a beam of light—this was precisely the world-shaking divine art he had used to break the Heavenly Demon Slaughter Technique. The Fighting Saint Technique evolved into the Tai Chi Divine Map, his own body becoming that S-shaped curve of Yin and Yang, capable of destroying all in its path. His speed reached its absolute limit; this was currently his most powerful attack.

BOOM!

The Yin Yang Saint Heir desperately tried to resist. The Yang and Yin Incarnations attacked in concert, their movements perfectly synchronized, frantically amplifying their combat power severalfold in an attempt to avert disaster.

PUFF!

Ye Fan’s speed was too great. His curved, dragon-like form was tougher than any weapon, possessing an indomitable power. It heavily injured the Yin Incarnation, severing one of its arms.

“AH…” the Yin Incarnation screamed.

“Junior, how dare you!” The Grand Elders of the Yin Yang Sect, who had just been praising their Saint Heir’s performance, did not expect Ye Fan’s attack to be so swift and terrifying. They rushed forward to intervene.

However, Ye Fan had also successfully triggered the All Character Secret. His body, transformed into that dragon-shaped curve, swept past, and nothing could stop him. It could be said that this was an absolute killing blow. The Divine Map, evolved through the Fighting Saint Technique and empowered by the All Secret, was an attack their formidable enemy could not resist! Although the Yin and Yang Incarnations successfully manifested fivefold combat power, they were completely outmatched by this killing blow, utterly unable to block it.

PUFF!

Blood splattered as the Yin and Yang Incarnations were simultaneously bisected at the waist by the dragon-shaped Dao Mark that Ye Fan had become. Then, he shot back.

CRACK!

The dragon-shaped Dao curve then shattered both their heads, reducing them to two clouds of blood mist, obliterating both form and spirit.

After fifteen hundred rounds, the great battle concluded with Ye Fan slaying the Yin Yang Saint Heir and seizing the Yin Yang Holy Sword. The onlookers were in an uproar. This was a Saint Heir! The future master of an unparalleled Great Sect in the Central States! Killed in the Eastern Wastelands, and by the Sacred Body, no less!

Currently, among the younger generation, only Ye Fan had slain both a Saint Heir and a sacred lady, forging his path and renown with their blood.

“A Great Sect comparable to a Sacred Land… both its Saint Heir and sacred lady slain by a single person!”

“The Sacred Body is truly powerful! Even though he crippled his own cultivation base, when he fights all out and temporarily boosts his strength to the Four Extremes secret boundary, he can still annihilate a Saint Heir!”

“He has a total of ten chances to fight at full power. Does this mean he intends to slay ten Saint Heirs in the future?”

Everyone was discussing it; the barren plains echoed with exclamations.

Ye Fan slaying a Saint Heir was an absolutely major event. Few dared to commit such an act, for Saint Heirs and sacred ladies were the future masters of undying legacies. Killing them was a blatant provocation against the dignity of such an unparalleled Great Sect, and they would face the full might of the sect in retaliation!

“The Sacred Body is truly overbearing! Even after crippling himself, he still dares to kill a Saint Heir-level figure…”

“What a pity. If his body were unharmed, he would truly have few rivals among the younger generation. He has the bearing of an invincible figure!”

This astonishing battle record of Ye Fan’s stunned everyone. Many sighed, lamenting his ‘half-crippled’ state.

“You audacious whelp! First you slew our sect’s sacred lady, and now our Saint Heir! Not even the Heavenly King could save you now!”

The peerless expert from the Yin Yang Sect was so enraged his hair stood on end. They had watched helplessly as Ye Fan slew the Yin Yang Saint Heir, unable to intervene in time, and felt utterly humiliated.

“You think you can kill me just because you say so?” Ye Fan sneered. He transformed into a dragon-shaped Dao Mark, flashed out of existence, and reappeared beside the old madman.

“No one can save you! All of you must die!” an old man spoke sinisterly, his eyes blazing like torches as he stared at Ye Fan, Li Heishui, the old madman, and their companions.

“This is terrifying! A true sovereign has arrived…” the big black dog muttered. Then, its eyes lit up, and it taunted, “You few old fossils, stop spouting such arrogant nonsense! Do you really think you’re invincible?”

“For worms like you, we *are* the heavens above! Crushing you would be as easy as squashing a few bedbugs—effortless!” an old man said, his face grim, his killing intent palpable.

“All of you will die! Not a single one will survive!” another one declared coldly.

“The Yin Yang Sect’s name is renowned throughout the world! When we give a command, who dares disobey? You reckless whelps truly don’t know death when you see it!” The members of the Yin Yang Sect pressed forward, pointing accusatorily at Ye Fan, the old madman, and the others.
