Chapter 29 – Luxury Liner with Fairies
Though there was an accident in which livestock ran amok and were released into the mountains, the migration of all the inhabitants of the Dark Elf village to the Chateau was completed with only a few injuries. The injuries were limited to bruises and scratches, so it is safe to say that the migration was a success.
“Roll call!”
“One!”
“Two.”
“Three!”
At Ines’ command, the fairies gathered and counted the numbers as they moved, one by one. The scene is fantastic, but at the same time, it is a bit like taking attendance in a kindergarten, which makes me smile.
Well, the fact that they don’t do it by name but by number is quite realistic.
“Fufu. It’s so cute, isn’t it?”
Claretta-san, who is watching the roll call of Ines and the fairies together, speaks to me very happily.
Claretta-san loves stuffed animals, and it seems that the existence of fairies was a stroke of luck for her.
She did not show many such signs in the dark elf village, but when we returned to the castle, and she was in a semi-private state, she actively communicated with the fairies.
The smiling, glowing Claretta-san is beautiful and a sight for sore eyes, but the fairies playing with her, swinging boing boing on top of her wonderful motherhood, give me mixed feelings of envy and well done.
“But it’s hard work. These kids eat a lot.”
Next to the delighted Claretta-san, Carla-san looks a little worried.
The only thing that makes me uncomfortable is the fact that Carla-san is troubled by the fact that they eat so much, but I guess Carla-san is in trouble because the fairies have their eyes on her.
“Fufu. They are after Carla’s snacks, you know. I regret that I should have secured enough for myself.”
Yes, just as Claretta said, Carla-san’s snacks are being targeted by the fairies.
Carla-san is a gourmand, but she is also a very kind woman. She shares her food with Rimu and the others and goes on food walks with them.
When she ate the sweets she had prepared, she kindly shared them with the fairies who passed by.
This kindness of Carla-san’s was trampled on by the fairies. To be more precise, when she was observed and tried to eat something, the fairies began to gather around her.
It would have been better if she had not given it to them, but she did not have the mental strength to say no when the little fairies looked at her greedily.
“…Wataru. Open the shop.”
Carla-san looked at me with her watery eyes and asked me to open the shop.
“Sorry. I can’t do that because it would be too much.”
I’m not that mentally strong myself, so I’m tempted to grant Carla-san’s sweet request. But I have no choice but to refuse with a feeling of resignation because I would really lose control of the situation.
Carla-san’s sullen expression is very cute.
The first time we boarded the Chateau, it was hard. It was really hard.
I took the fairies to a room with sweets, rewarded them with treats, and explained the system of the luxury liner and the rules for living on it.
I gave them a verbal test to make sure they understood the rules, and then I let the ones who passed the test out of their rooms first.
If I had just locked them up instead of letting them out of their rooms, I would have saved myself a lot of trouble later.
The fairies who were released on board the Chateau wandered around the ship, following their strong curiosity and desires.
The fairies were smart enough to understand sweets and related things. They quickly grasped the shops offering free snacks and juices and devoured them to their hearts’ content.
So far, so good. The fairies were excited by the novelty, but they would calm down eventually, and the dark elves were cooperating with us, so we were a little relieved.
However, something unexpected happened.
The fairies, or rather the devils, who are particularly curious, discovered the sweet liquor.
Immediately, the fairies are captivated by the sweet drink, and the ship is flooded with drunkards.
The little mischievous fairies were a real mess, and being drunk, there was a possibility that they might even jump out of the Chateau’s barriers.
In the midst of the chaos, I exercised my authority and took full advantage of the ship’s disguise. I covered the ship so that the fairies could not get out, and inside the ship, I closed the stores and set up a series of separators.
The rest was manpower tactics. First, we secured all the fairies who were drunk and flying around and locked them in a room.
Then, after confirming the number of missing fairies, we conducted a thorough search of all the rooms that had been divided into small sections.
Looking under sofas, in cracks of cupboards, and in every corner of the shop, we managed to catch the drunken fairies in unexpected places.
The last two were not easy to find, and I was horrified to think that they might have gotten out in time.
If Rimu had not found them sleeping in a crack in the duct, the search would have extended to the sea.
After taking the matter seriously, I decided to close down most of the facility.
In particular, I strictly controlled alcohol and sweets and only served sweet drinks in one room one night a week. As for sweets, I decided to open the most popular shop at a certain time.
If anyone missed roll call three times a day, everyone would not be allowed to attend the next day. At first, there were many absentees, but after that, everyone began to gather without any problems.
Maybe it was because the other fairies were chasing around the fairies who had accidentally forgotten to assemble, resentful of not being able to eat the sweets.
Meanwhile, the fairies have grown up enough to check that all the fairies are present before roll call, and there are almost no absences during Ines’ roll call.
Occasionally, there are fairies who are so engrossed in their play that they forget roll call, but they find them and bring them back themselves, so the attendance rate is quite high.
However, the situation is not perfect when a fairy gets so caught up in the game that they wander off to a place that even other fairies cannot find in a short amount of time.
Needless to say, the careless fairies later suffered a terrible fate.
The dark elves took the brunt of it, but they were still happy with the unusual meals they had for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they also enjoyed the playground and the beauty salons.
“Master. I’ve checked the noon roll call. They want a three o’clock snack at a chocolate shop.”
Ines, who had finished the roll call, came to report.
Chocolate shop… ah, you mean the café run by a top chocolatier. The choco of this high-class shop is really good, just like the chocolates.
I don’t really understand the difference between chocolate and choco, but I think the fairies’ palates are becoming more sophisticated.
“I understand. Then I’ll let them go at 3:00 p.m.”
“I’ll have to prepare a lot of towels. Then, Wataru. We will take some time off.”
Claretta-san hurriedly left with Carla-san.
Despite their small bodies and mouths, the fairies did not hesitate to bite into the sweets with all their might. As a result, their hands, mouths, and bodies are terrible, so they must be prepared to take care of them.
All we have to do is purify them…
Claretta-san says it’s hard to purify them over and over again, but I think it’s definitely harder to wipe them with a towel.
Well, since Claretta-san seems very happy, I don’t say anything…
“Master. Do you have a job for me?”
Ines, who has finished the roll call, asks me if there is any work for her.
“No, no work at the moment.”
Since I’m at my best during the voyage, it’s basically free time, except for strength training.
“Gee, there must be something. If you don’t have anything, make up a job for me!”
Ines, who must know this, has a good reason for demanding work.
“No, Bella-san found out about it, and it was a terrible thing, wasn’t it? Since we’ll be arriving at the Castle tomorrow and parting ways, why don’t you at least do your job well and reassure her for the last time?”
Because of the mistake in the dark elf village, me, Ines and Ilma-san are currently being punished.
Ines, who is currently assisting Bella-san and is in the middle of her training period, is demanding work from me to escape her mother’s clutches.
“That’s enough. I can’t do it anymore. If it’s done tomorrow, it doesn’t matter if it’s done today. Don’t you think so, Master?”
Ines seems desperate, but I don’t cooperate.
This is because a template is brewing at a time like this. Bella-san stands behind Ines with a hannya expression on her face.
Ines, if you don’t notice such a presence, it would be a problem even for me, who is escorted by you, right?
“Hyii.”
Ines, who had noticed my gaze and turned to look at Bella-san, made a strange sound and froze.
“Wataru-san. Can I take her with me?”
I nodded silently. Ines looked at me like I was a traitor, but she deserved it, so she should just give up.
Bella-san bows to me and drags Ines away. It is doubtful that Ines will be able to return to her room tonight.
To be honest, I wanted to agree with Ines. Because of Ines, I am also punished and forbidden to have sex.
It is very hard to be forbidden to have sex when you share your life with two attractive and beautiful women.
When I first bought Ines and Felicia, I could endure it because of the contract, but it is very hard to be banned after being released.
But if Ines was taken away, I would have to put up with it, too.
Well, Ilma-san is also enduring a painful punishment, and she will be released tomorrow, so I will do my best as well.
She is forbidden to drink alcohol and is on a portable diet. That alone is quite painful, but from Ilma-san’s point of view, the ban on research is the most painful.
She has made some discoveries in the village and is also stimulated by the magic that fairies casually use. She cries to me that her researcher’s spirit rages wildly every day.
I don’t want to tell the truth that I was on the verge of an outburst because of the fragrance and softness of Ilma-san’s embrace rather than to comfort her pain.
Well, all that will be over tomorrow when we send Bella-san and the others to the Castle.
I looked out the window, thinking that the punishment would be over tomorrow, and I saw… livestock lounging on the deck, eating their food.
…Livestock don’t fit on a luxury liner, do they?
