Chapter 1057: All Legendary

Chapter 1057: All Legendary

'As far as I know, all the individual Infused Laws vanish when Ascendants undergo fusion. Well, vanish might not be the correct word. It's more like that they can't be used anymore. Instead of having four Infused Laws, an Advanced Ascendant can only have one Infused Law, but the Infused Law spreads across all of the Aspects.'

'That's a good thing since this gives me far more Laws to create one powerful Infused Law, which will be used by all of my Aspects, but I'm not sure what this would do to my advancement. How am I supposed to become an Infused Ascendant when I can't infuse stuff?'

Kyle scratched the back of his head. 'Actually, why am I even worried? I mean, this is not one of these rule-breaking things. As far as I can see, the reason why I can already fuse my Aspects is that I've reached all of the Legendary Realms. This is not something that the Cosmos would deem impossible or forbidden, which means this is an intended way to progress.'

'Would the owner of the Cosmos really ruin a Seeker's future because they are too good? I don't think so.'

Kyle took a deep breath. 'I think I should try it.'

In the next moment, Kyle commanded his body to enter his Core. His organs moved closer to his Core, and in response, his Core started to grow. Kyle's abdomen was bending inward as more of it compressed. It looked almost like he was being sucked into some kind of wormhole.

Kyle's body shrank more and more, and eventually, only his Core was left. His body had completely vanished. Of course, his Elemental shrank with him. After all, he had to remain in contact with it.

For several seconds, the Core just hovered in place.

'Now what?' Kyle thought. 'Everything is inside my Core, but nothing has really happened. I don't feel any different.'

'In fact, I still feel like my body and Core are separate entities. It feels more like they are overlapping instead of fusing.'

Kyle's body expanded out of his Core again.

'Actually, I think I know what's going on,' Kyle thought. 'I think reaching the different Legendary Realms deletes one requirement for Fusion each. If you've once been a Legendary Primal, you probably don't need an Infused Level Six Body Law to undergo Fusion. That would mean you don't need to know as many Laws.'

'Since I've gone through all four Legendary Realms, I don't need any Infused Laws to undergo Fusion. However, there are five requirements, not four. You also need a Level Eight External Law. Most likely, I need a tremendous level of pressure to force my body to fuse with my Core, and the Level Eight Law would give me that pressure.'

'Without a Level Eight External Law, I probably can't undergo fusion. Bummer. That's the hardest requirement to fulfill. What's the point of allowing us to fuse when we still need the Level Eight Law? Seems like a bit of a tease.'

That was when Kyle got another idea, and he looked at his Elemental. 'Oh...'

'Ah, fuck. Yeah, I think I know what's going on,' Kyle thought. 'There are not four Aspects of Power but five. I also need my Core Spark. I totally forgot about my Core Spark since it's basically useless. Yet, it's still a part of me, and I probably also need to fuse with it.'

'What if the Core Spark is kind of like an emulsifier? What if I can't fuse without it?'

'Can I even get it back? Will my Elemental die if I take it out?'

'Well, if Sebastian were to take his Core Spark out of his Elemental, the Elemental would lose its connection to him, and it would turn into a regular Elemental, but my Elemental is different.'

'Technically, it's a human, and since it's a human, it has all five Aspects of Power. It's just that it uses my mind, Core, and Core Spark. That is, if we assume that it is higher in Realm than a Mortal.'

'Technically speaking, my Elemental is still a human Mortal. After all, I've chosen the path of Elementals to grow its strength. Becoming a Transcendent means condensing your own Core Spark. It has never condensed its own Core Spark.'

'But I don't think that's a feasible path forward. Right now, it's kind of in limbo regarding its status. If I suddenly make it rise a level in human terms, the Cosmos might view it as an actual human, which means it will also assign longevity to it, which can only be increased by rising further Realms.'

'Sebastian has already tried that, and he found out that the Compression Realm is the limit. If my Elemental condenses its own Core Spark, it will die within a thousand years, most likely.'

That was when Kyle had a terrifying thought. 'And since I'm its mind and Center, I would die with it!'

'Alright, I have to remember that I should never condense a Core Spark for my Elemental!'

Kyle rubbed his chin as he looked at his Elemental with furrowed brows. 'But then again, since it's not a Transcendent, it also doesn't need a Core Spark, right? My Core Spark is probably not even doing anything.'

'Theoretically, since my Elemental is also a human, nothing should happen if I remove my Core Spark. After all, I'm still its mind and Core.'

Kyle commanded the Core Spark within the Elemental to move to his hands. Since he was wearing his Elemental like a suit of armor, he was in constant physical contact with it.

The Core Spark poked out of the Elemental and partially entered Kyle's hand.

Nothing seemingly changed.

Kyle moved the Core Spark more.

Nothing changed.

Finally, it fully entered Kyle's body and traveled to his abdomen, returning to its original place.

'Yep, nothing has changed,' Kyle thought as he sighed in relief. 'It's just as I've thought. My Elemental is different from Sebastian's Elemental. I can still control mine without using my Core Spark.'

As Kyle looked at his Core Spark, he felt nervous again. 'Actually, I'm not entirely sure if the Fusion will actually work. I might still need an External Level Eight Law.'

'Although...' Kyle thought as he remembered something. 'Seekers only truly count as Seekers when they become Transcendents. That's also the first time when the optional levels within a Realm appear. There are Legendary Transcendents as well.'

'Could that actually be?'

Kyle looked at his Core Spark. 'The Primal Realm is about the body. Compression, Center. Wisdom Fire, mind. Domain, Spirit.'

'What about the Transcendent Realm?'

'I don't remember my Core Spark changing when I became a Legendary Transcendent, but what if it actually did? Could the Transcendent Realm be all about the Core Spark?'

'I've been a Legendary Transcendent before.'

'But if that actually gets rid of the last requirement, that would be crazy! That's like saying that your grades from second grade help you with your master's thesis!'

'Is it some kind of secret reward? Nobody ever told me that reaching the Legendary Realms would help with the Fusion. Although that would explain why all of the Peak Organizations desperately want to create Legendary Seekers. Fulfilling all five requirements at the same time is brutally difficult, but not impossible.'

'The owner of the Cosmos likes giving people second chances, right? Usually, you can still advance when you've barely passed a Realm. Yet, if you haven't shown exceptional talent in at least one Aspect across several Realms, there's no real point in giving you another chance. After all, at this point, you've had like six additional chances.'

'Also, now that I think about it, didn't the Chief Overseer from the Array of Stars say something about Legendary Transcendents having a very high chance of becoming Immortals?'

'Or was that about Primals?'

'Anyway, it doesn't matter. I just need to try the Fusion, and I will get all of my answers.'
