Chapter 1131: Sebastian's Troubles

Chapter 1131: Sebastian's Troubles

"That concludes the votes," the man said. By now, his smile had returned.

'Wonder if he will try to cheat,' Kyle thought. 'He's the one who has to contact the World Seekers, and he doesn't want Swamp Dragon to die. He could say that they were not interested, and nobody would be able to validate his claims.'

"To summarize," the man added, "Fox will go to the Supreme World, but she will be under our management to make sure that she won't commit any additional atrocities. At the same time, she will also work on improving the Cosmos by fulfilling different tasks we give her."

"Swamp Dragon will remain the Overseer and work together with the World Seekers. Everyone else may do whatever they wish to do."

Sebastian and Kyle looked at each other for a while. Swamp Dragon just looked forward, probably planning his next move. Fox's brows were furrowed.

Nobody said anything.

"Then, this is it," the man said before he retrieved the table and the drinks. Kyle and the man had been the only people who had actually consumed the Burning Heart.

The man turned to Kyle. "How do you plan to leave this world? This is relevant since your answer will dictate how and when I contact the World Seekers."

"I will wait for another 50,000 years," Kyle answered. "Then, I'm going to leave with my own methods. I won't ascend."

Kyle looked at Sebastian.

50,000 years was all the longevity Sebastian had left.

It was still a bit of an unknown if Sebastian would be able to finish creating his Refined Law. Sebastian had worked hard to meet the requirements for his Fusion, but they were not easy to meet. Additionally, he had "wasted" more than 200,000 years.

In the end, he had split his Complex Law into two. He had fused the Level One to Level Five Laws of Lightning to create a Level 5.5 Lightning Essence, which he had infused into his body, creating a Level Six Law. Then, he had fused his Level Six and Level Seven Lightning Laws to create a weak Level 7.5 External Complex Law. With that, he only needed an Imposing Law that could reach the power of an above-average Level Seven Law.

That translated into an Imposing Law with roughly 75% quality. He had managed to push his Imposing Law to 77%, just to be sure, but creating his Refined Law would still take some time.

Unless...

Well, technically, the problem was not that Sebastian would die. There was no doubt that he would become an Immortal.

However, the manner in which he advanced played a big role.

If he could create a Refined Law, everything would work out nicely, but if he failed to create a healthy Refined Law...

He would create an unhealthy one, a Battle Rite, as Ayuvar had called it in the past.

Of course, if he chose that route, he would face a humongous problem. Either his Imposing Law would forever stay at this level, which could already be considered average for a new Immortal, or he would need to abandon his Imposing Law and create a new one. There was even a chance that he might forget his two Lightning Laws, but even if that happened, he could easily comprehend them again.

The issue was the Imposing Law. Recreating it would take hundreds of thousands of years.

Yet, as an Immortal, there were no more longevity constraints. Technically, he could create a Battle Rite and simply create a new Imposing Law.

If only it were that easy...

The Immortal Dimension was cutthroat. Immortals were valuable to the Higher Supreme Powers, but only as long as they contributed. The Higher Supreme Organizations gave them time to settle in, but if they still couldn't contribute, they would be thrown out.

An Immortal without an affiliation was like a beast in the Immortal Dimension. They were walking treasure troves that anyone could kill without angering a powerful Organization.

If Sebastian didn't prove himself to be useful, he would be forced to join one of the many Lower Supreme Organizations, and those rarely survived for long. There were several stable ones, but those also tended to have an alliance with a superior Higher Supreme Organization, which was also problematic.

If Sebastian were thrown out of an Empire, for example, none of the inferior Lower Supreme Organizations within the Empire's territory would accept him, which meant he would need to move to a different territory. However, the more Energy someone had, the more expensive it was to teleport them via Teleportation Formation Array. Sebastian wouldn't be able to afford it.

That left three options.

One, joining a newly founded Lower Supreme Organization, which would prove very dangerous.

Two, going to a lower Dimension, but that would be even more dangerous. There was a reason why one could only find Immortals in major strongholds, owned by the Higher Supreme Organizations. Due to balance and protecting the Main Dimension, random Immortals were not allowed to just go to the Main Dimension. If another Immortal found them, they would be killed.

Three, entering the central military to fight the Cult of Final Fate. Naturally, that was extremely dangerous for obvious reasons.

Well, if everything failed, Sebastian could probably join the Cult of Final Fate, but at this point, this might also no longer be an option.

Sebastian had lived in harmony with Melanie. He had learned to love a world. He had learned to love again and to value family.

There was a chance that he would not want to join the very Organization that tried to eradicate the entire Cosmos.

This was why it was important how Sebastian advanced and why the removal of longevity limits didn't mean that one could live in peace for all of eternity.

With the removal of longevity limits, the manner in which one died was determined. Since Immortals couldn't die of old age, disease, starvation, dehydration, asphyxiation, and so on, there was only one thing that could end their existence.

Violence.

And the Immortal Dimension was violent.

"Alright," the man said. "I will contact the World Seekers in 10,000 years, Supreme World time. You should be gone by then. Speaking of, do you wish to get into contact with any of the Higher Supreme Organizations?"

"No," Kyle answered.

"Understandable," the man answered.

The man hadn't commented on it, but he could feel Kyle's intense aura. Being outstanding was good and made one valuable, but being too outstanding could be worse than being mediocre.

If any of the other Powers found out about his talent, they would publicize it. At that point, he wouldn't be able to leave his Organization's headquarters anymore since several Lords would constantly wait for an opportunity to assassinate him.

Even if Kyle managed to survive all of these attacks and grow stronger, his talent might be so threatening to the other Higher Supreme Organizations that they might just unite. At that point, it wouldn't matter if his Organization wanted to protect him or not. Either he died alone, or he died with his Organization.

With his Law of Karmic Causality, Kyle could hide his aura from every Immortal and the vast majority of Lords. Yet, he couldn't hide his aura from even a single Demigod.

Luckily, there were not that many of them. Additionally, the Demigods also actually needed to focus on him. Simply being within their perception wasn't dangerous.

"Then, if there's nothing else, we're going to leave," the man said with a smile.
