Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 1167: Suspicious

Chapter 1167: Suspicious

'Sure enough, the Hero Dimension gave me just what I needed. I can see why people really want to condense a True Hero Aura,' Kyle thought as he saw the price range for Universe Connectors.

Just like basically everything else, Universe Connectors were not all equally good. Some only supported Laws up to a certain level, and there were also differences in how long a Universe Connector could be used. Some only worked for a thousand years, while others worked for millions of years.

The Hero Dimension only gave someone what they needed. It very rarely gave someone something that exceeded their needs. This meant that Kyle got a Universe Connector that supported a Perfected Imposing Law and a Level Eight Complex Law. Most likely, it would only work until Kyle finished his new Refined Law.

'However, that's still insane,' he thought. 'Any Universe Connector that supports Perfected Imposing Laws is worth at least 5,000 Grade Nine Energy Stones. That would be enough for me to become an Adept Immortal. If I didn't need twice the Energy Stones to advance, I could even become a Minor Immortal.'

'I'm a bit tempted to sell it, but I really need this. I can't leave Black's team in the middle of nowhere.'

Kyle looked through the list of valuables and compared it to his belongings.

Sadly, there wasn't much. There were only three things that might prove to be valuable. Kyle still had a couple of Formation Array Materials left over. The World Organizations had been nice enough to give him some when he had gathered Karmic Luck. Some of these materials could net Kyle a couple of Energy Stones, but not many.

He also still had several Comprehension Fruits of different Elements. These used to belong to Fierce Breaker. Lastly, Fierce Breaker had also harvested the bodies of a couple of Demons from the time he had been on the front lines in the old Ayuvar.

After a moment, Kyle approached one of the people. "Hey, I'm new to the Immortal Dimension, and I have some stuff left from the Main Dimension that I want to sell."

"Welcome to Wild's Summit," the man transmitted, trying to sound polite. "Just put everything in the Space Ring. I'll give you the standard price."

"Sure," Kyle answered as he put the Formation Array Materials, Immortal Metals, Comprehension Fruits, and Demon corpses into the Space Ring before pushing the Space Ring towards the merchant.

The merchant focused on the Space Ring. "110 Grade Nine Energy Stones for the metals," he answered.

'110?' Kyle thought. 'That's more than I expected. Did that one guy from the Array of Stars cheat me? According to his prices, these Immortal Metals should only be worth 90 Grade Nine Energy Stones.'

"I'll take it," Kyle answered.

The merchant nodded. "The materials are worth another 2.2 Grade Nine Energy Stones."

'Sounds reasonable,' Kyle thought. 'I mean, I'm selling these things at 50% of the value, but I don't really have another choice.'

"Sounds good," Kyle answered.

Then, the merchant took out a couple of Comprehension Fruits and put them on a small diagram on his table. The markings of the diagram shone for a moment, and a bunch of numbers appeared in front of him.

One of the merchant's brows rose. "Wait a moment," he transmitted.

"Take your time," Kyle answered.

The Comprehension Fruits vanished for a moment, and Kyle saw them reappear in front of a stronger merchant. The counters were arranged in a circle, and this merchant stood in the middle. Most likely, she was some kind of manager.

She put the fruits on a bigger table without saying a word, and even more numbers appeared in front of her. Most likely, this Formation Array was more advanced.

'Not sure what this means for the price,' Kyle thought.

An instant later, the fruits appeared in front of Kyle again, and the merchant put them back in the Space Ring.

"Your Comprehension Fruits are strange but real," he commented. "They have parts and components that are usually not found in Comprehension Fruits. For the level of Laws they support, they also work for an unusually short time. Comprehension Fruits that support Level Seven Laws usually work for a thousand years. Yours only work for 50 years. Due to their strange nature, we have to reduce the price."

Kyle just shrugged.

"Are you sure you're from the Main Dimension? Fruits like these generally only appear in Primary Worlds," the merchant asked.

"I ascended from the Main Dimension," Kyle answered. "You can check the date and Realm when my identity was issued."

The merchant looked at Kyle's Communicator for a moment and just hummed for a moment. It seemed like the merchant could just check Kyle's identity without Kyle actively needing to give permission.

"Your story checks out," the merchant answered casually. "Sorry for the question, but we have to be careful. The Cult is an ever-present threat."

"No problem," Kyle replied with a dismissive wave.

"Anyway, your fruits are worth another 7.3 Grade Nine Energy Stones," the merchant transmitted.

Kyle nodded.

"And that's everything," the merchant answered. "Corpses of non-Immortal beasts are basically worthless."

"Really?" Kyle asked. "Not even corpses of Divine Beasts?"

"No, those are different," the merchant answered. "They're still valuable."

"Then, these corpses should work," Kyle transmitted. "They're all Divine Beasts."

The merchant looked at Kyle with furrowed brows. "Are you serious?" he asked with a skeptical voice transmission.

"Yeah," Kyle transmitted back. "Check for yourself."

The merchant looked at the Space Ring with skepticism before checking through the corpses.

He looked at the Space Ring for several seconds, and as more time passed, his brows rose.

"How did you get so many of these?" he asked.

"Trade secret," Kyle answered.

The merchant scratched the side of his head. The corpses were not exceptionally valuable, but there were so many of them. Divine Beasts rarely appeared in the Main Dimension. Usually, they were only in the Beast Dimension and Immortal Dimension. Moreover, killing even one of them outside of a True Battle came with a significant reduction of Karmic Luck. Kyle had thousands of them.

He must have gotten them as a Spirit Lord or Ascendant. Otherwise, his current Karmic Luck would be at legendarily low levels. However, he would have condensed a True Sin Aura after killing just a handful, and Primary Existences couldn't ascend Dimensions by themselves. This meant that, after killing just a handful, Kyle would have lost his access to Divine Beasts.

Yet, he had thousands.

The merchant couldn't imagine how Kyle had managed to get his hands on so many Divine Beasts. His Communicator confirmed that he had been in the Main Dimension when he had been an Ascendant, which meant he couldn't have been in a Primary World.

Well, it wasn't completely impossible. Someone could have entered the Primary World to take Kyle with them, but that also didn't make any sense. No Immortal or Lord would take someone from a Primary World without recruiting them. Recruitment was the entire reason why these people even visited some Primary Worlds.

However, Kyle was unaffiliated, and the international database of auras didn't show any auras that were similar to his. Sometimes, people destroyed their Communicators and tried to gain new identities with different Organizations, which was why the international database of auras existed. It recorded the auras of all Seekers, and during registration, it checked for matches and highlighted similar auras.

Yet, Kyle's aura was unique, which meant that he couldn't have had a different identity.

But then, how did he get all of these corpses?

The merchant felt like something wasn't quite right. Either this guy had some kind of unique way to obtain Divine Beast Corpses, or he had some kind of secret identity.

Without Kyle noticing, the merchant sent a request for a background check to Wild's Summit.
