Strongest Mage with the Lust system

Chapter 947: Ceased To Exist

Chapter 947: Ceased To Exist

The man couldn’t help but take another look at Max to see if he was the same guy.

Max stared back at him and asked, “What? Something wrong with the talismans?”

“No. Nothing’s wrong.” The man shook his head, then closely inspected the talisman.

A moment later, he raised his head again and looked at Max, slowly saying, “Both of them are Low-Grade Tier Five Elemental Talismans, but since you want my appraisal of them…”

He said with a meaningful look in his eyes while his voice lowered, though not like it would make any difference since everyone in this building was a higher tier Mage and could easily hear him clearly even if he whispered.

“This talisman…” he picked up one of the two and said, “It can be counted among the average Low-Grade Tier Five Thunder Talismans of offensive category while this one…” he picked up the second, “While it’s also a Low-Grade one, it’s nearing the top of Low Grade Tier Five.”

Speaking until here, he took a short pause to everyone else, but he was using the Divine Sense transmission, [With a little more practice, you can easily create Mid-Grade Tier Five talismans. In fact, if you had used Mid-Grade Tier Five Talisman Paper and better quality talisman ink, you might have succeeded in making it this time too.]

Max stared at him for a brief moment, then directly asked, “How much are they worth?”

The man pursed his lips for a moment and a hint of dissatisfaction flashed in his eyes.

He was doing him a favor by telling all this and risking himself because if others found out he had helped Max, even if it was a harmless one, he would be punished. Max, however, showed no gratitude for it.

‘Well, this makes sense. Why would he feel grateful to someone of an enemy faction? To him, I might have told him all that to harm him somehow.’ He let out a sigh inwardly, then said, “I can pay 650 for both of them. Is that price alright with you?”

Max’s eyes flashed.

From what Dan had told him, Low Grade Tier-Five Elemental Talisman were usually sold between 200-350 Merit Points. This meant the Resource Hall would be buying them at a lower price since it needed to make some profit on each.

Now, he was offering to buy them at the best possible price despite the fact one of them was just an average Low Grade Tier Five Thunder Talisman.

“It is.” he nodded after thinking for a brief moment, “Now give me a stack of Low Grade Tier Five Talisman Paper, Attributeless Talisman Ink, one Thunder Essence Stone and ten Spirit Replenishment Pills.”

“Okay.” The man put everything he asked for in front of him and said, “Talisman Paper and Ink, 100, Thunder Essence Stone, 120, and ten Spirit Replenishment Pills, 400. Your total is 620 and your balance is 30. Do you want to purchase something else or should I transfer them to you?”

“No. This all will do.” Max shook his head and put the things away. After the man transferred the 30 Merit Points, he turned around and walked out of the building. He also faintly heard a disgruntled snort from the floor above.

A faint smile appeared on his face when he heard this. It felt good to know just his presence was enough to discomfort his enemies.

Outside the building, Nia was waiting for Max to come out, looking very nervous and even scared.

Though no one had said anything to her, she was feeling extremely uncomfortable standing there. She wanted to move away from the building, but she felt she shouldn’t take even a step from the place she was standing on, so that’s what she did.

When Max walked out, he saw her face was pale and she was on the verge of hyperventilating.

Immediately, his eyes narrowed. Someone from within the building was putting pressure on her using their aura.

He walked over and placed his hand on her shoulder.

Ha!

The uncomfortable feeling vanished and Nia felt relaxed which almost made her plop down to the ground, but she resisted.

“You alright?” Max asked.

“Yes, Young Lord.” Nia nodded, feeling ashamed for showing such a weak side to him.

Max saw through her and said, “It’s not your fault. Some cheap bastard was trying to intimidate you from inside the building.”

“Ah…” Nia’s eyes widened in realization and she felt a bout of anger rise in her chest but she didn’t dare to look at the building and show her anger.

“Let’s go.” said Max and led her out of the Talisman Hall.

A while later, they arrived at the border of the core region and expectedly, someone appeared to stop Nia.

Max stayed calm and simply told him she was Rima’s maid who was undergoing treatment in the Violet Peak and as her servant, she had the right to enter the core hall.

The enforcer frowned and connected someone. After talking for a while, he vanished without saying anything which was equal to allowing Nia’s entry into the core region.

Nia stared at Max’s side profile in astonishment—she hadn’t expected he could really take her into the core region where even Rima—an Inner Hall Disciple—shouldn’t be allowed without a proper cause and permission.

Max couldn’t help but feel good noticing her expression. Trying not to show it, he began walking, “Let’s-“

Suddenly, however, he stopped in his tracks, his brows furrowed tightly.

‘Leticia?’ he thought, closing his eyes to sense the fleeting connection to Leticia he had sensed just now.

Somewhere far away, stood a small, black hut.

It seemed to be made from the wood and straws but anyone could tell this wasn’t the case. But whatever it was made from it was an extremely durable material because…

Rumble!

Boom!

Save for the area where the hut stood at, all the space around it was constantly fluctuating and ripping apart.

People could get stronger and become someone akin to a force of nature, but only those who really face the true forces of nature would know just how terrifying nature truly was.

For example, this fluctuating and ripping space could easily rip apart a Monarch Mage without any trouble.

Boom!

Black lightning crackled in the sky, creating another crack in the dome which increased the instability of this minor realm.

Half a foot away from the hut’s door stood the haggard woman, doing her best to keep her eyes and senses closed so she wouldn’t see the horrifying scenery around her lest it destroyed her will to live.

“Come on, Leticia. Be quick or we are done for.” she muttered under her breath.

Boom!

As if her words had provoked some entity, black lightning struck the hut and the space around it ripped with a boom… but the hut stood as it was before, completely unharmed.

However, there were consequences—the safe area of one foot around the hut shrank to barely half a foot—the rippling space was now almost touching the woman who was none other than Belen.

If it ripped and fluctuated one more time, it would engulf her and she would be ripped into atoms.

Belen held her breath… she could feel she was about to die.

‘It seems I won’t be able to see you again.’ she thought, Max’s image surfacing in her mind.

Boom!

The space ripped apart and pulsed forward, about to engulf her.

Right then…

Creak…

The hut’s door opened a tiny crack and Belen was sucked inside.

Then…

Rumbleeeee~!

BOOOM!!!

The space split apart and engulfed the whole hut. Right then, this minor realm ceased to exist.
