Chapter 1941: Warning
Chapter 1941: Warning
"I want them to use my authority to give them the marks. Also, do you have any information regarding aliens with divinity?"
The Ogre God paused for a moment. "Follow me."
He brought all of them to another place where they had set up the post to monitor the situation.
There were many fighters in this place, not only the elves and the ogres but also from other races.
Nathan observed them carefully.
The Ogre God moved to a building and found another ogre. "Bring me six badges."
The ogre nodded and walked away. Meanwhile, the Ogre God looked at Nathan and the others. "So, do you mind telling me what’s going on over here, Catalith? I don’t think they are human saints."
"It’s my business. You just like fighting people, so there’s no need for you to ask so many questions." Catalith coldly replied.
"But I’m the one who has to monitor the current situation. If they’re harming our people, I’m the one responsible for this."
"In that case, I’m vouching for their identities. If they’re the ones causing trouble, the blame is on me." Catalith didn’t hesitate to cover for Nathan and his team. She had benefited a lot from their exchange, so she didn’t intend to let others know about Nathan.
"..." The Ogre God narrowed his eyes. He didn’t trust Nathan and the others. There was a chance that these people were trying to harm them, so it was only natural for the Ogre God to feel cautious about it.
After a moment, the ogre he had sent earlier had returned with six badges. Then, he handed them over to Catalith and said, "They’ll be your responsibility."
"Fine." Catalith nodded calmly. She first gave Nathan and the others the badges. "You just have to have this with you. If there are other people from the alliances, you just have to show these badges to show your affiliation. It’s to prevent conflict.
"Well, since you will be traveling with me, there shouldn’t be any conflict, but just make sure to avoid conflict."
"Sure." Nathan nodded calmly.
The Ogre God added, "There is a sighting about a terrifying alien a bit further from here. The ones who witnessed it were a bunch of weird people.. One of them is a slime, two are elves, two are ogres, and one is a human.
"There’s a report that a powerful presence has been sighted on Planet TK. We are still discussing how to deal with it. If there are no saints who will handle this problem, I have to go there personally."
Catalith nodded in understanding. "In that case, leave this problem to me. I need an alien corpse, such as this one, for my new research. TK, right?"
"Correct."
"Very well. I will head there."
"One second." The Ogre God looked at her with a grim expression.
Catalith sighed and turned to Nathan. "Sorry, but can you wait for me outside? I’ll be quick."
"All right."
Once Nathan and the others left, the Ogre God took out a piece of paper and used his transmutation, creating a thin layer of barrier that prevented anyone from the outside from listening to the conversation.
"What the hell are you thinking, Elf Goddess? Even though you have such a high position, it doesn’t mean you can just invite random people into this place. Considering they came with you, they must have been to our planet as well. Are you going to be responsible if they are intending to harm the planet?"
"I am well aware of this fact. However, I’ve ascertained that they are not a threat as long as no one bothers them. If you still can’t believe me, I’m just going to tell you that they’re even crazier than anyone you’ve seen."
"Crazier?" The Ogre God frowned.
Catalith nodded calmly. "They intend to go to the Great Void."
"Are they insane?" The Ogre God’s reaction came right after, as though it was the natural thing to ask.
"..." Catalith shrugged. "Well, yeah. So, it’s not a problem. Just let me handle this."
"Fine." The Ogre God clicked his tongue. "However, you need to be careful, especially against that human. When I tested them earlier, the rest of them seemed to be able to react, but that man was the only one who could read everything. I’m afraid he read my test and was prepared to launch a counterattack... not just any counterattack. It felt like he was ready for a big one."
"I understand. You don’t have to worry about that. For now, everything is under control." Catalith wasn’t going to mention any benefits, considering she wanted to monopolize everything.
"Well, I will believe you in that matter." The Ogre God nodded.
"This is not your style. To think that you would even be scared by a bunch of saints." Catalith snorted.
"I’m not scared of them. It must be because I have gone to more battles than you, but I know that they’re quite dangerous even among the saints. My instincts told me that."
"You’re not the only one who feels that. I’ve been a goddess longer than you." Catalith harrumphed.
The Ogre God just shrugged and let Catalith be. He wasn’t going to be responsible for something like this.
Before walking away, Catalith asked one last question. "Are there still people in that area?"
"No. After discovering it, they went to a nearby planet. I don’t know where they’re right now. It’s better to check the situation first and see what you should do about it."
"Very well." Catalith nodded and left the building. She said, "I’ve got the information we need, so let’s go."
"What are we going to do now?" Nathan asked.
"We will just have to head to..." She looked up, pointing to a specific angle. "...that way. We should be able to arrive in twenty minutes."
"Twenty minutes, huh?" Nathan nodded in understanding, finishing his calculation. "In that case, let’s go there in one second."
Nathan snapped his fingers, using his teleportation circle to bring them away.
