Supreme Harem God System

Chapter 2089: The hunt had indeed begun.

Chapter 2089: The hunt had indeed begun.

"So it will be like a hunt."

Darkness grinned.

"I accept, it is much more interesting that way."

He nodded.

Eternity nodded back.

"While we are at it, we will also look for these Chain Breakers. The only connection they have with this incident is the beings who devoured the Fifty-Six Worlds and the Guild Master whose body burst into pieces just now.

Through mercenaries’ memories, we will try to find the world devourers. If they are dead set on hiding, I doubt they have left any witnesses alive, but the memories will give us something to work on.

We will mark any oddities in any beings or any events we see. If the search is thorough enough, I refuse to believe we will not find anything."

"Does this mean we need to wait for a month before we even begin our counterattack?"

Darkness questioned, clearly not liking the situation.

He understood that the mercenaries spread throughout the world did not have the means to get to them in an instant. Most of them are Sovereigns who do not even own a spacecraft. Those who did had very slow ones, and it would take them about a month to get to them—and this is when they tried their very best.

The time limit of one month set by Eternity was actually quite well thought out considering what and who they were dealing with. And even though none of the Supreme Borns actually cared about people when they gave orders,

They also knew that if the time limit given to them was simply impossible to follow, most mercenaries would simply quit and take their own lives instead of trying to complete an impossible task and feeling the despair that came with it.

Too many deaths would cause a gap in information, making things difficult for them, so they had to be more careful—hence the month limit.

Darkness understood all that. It was just that... a month was simply too long.

He didn’t even know if he would still be interested in this little thing by the time a month had passed. He needed this to be faster.

And Eternity, knowing exactly what he was thinking, just answered calmly,

"The announcement will tell the mercenaries to come as fast as they possibly can. Their memories will be scanned, so their actions after hearing the announcement will be observed, forcing them to move instantly.

The month-long time limit is just that—a limit. In truth, the mercenaries will have to get here the fastest they can.

So we will have some information to work on. If we are fortunate, that information might reveal exactly what we wish to know."

He spoke, his hollow eyes staring at Darkness meaningfully.

Darkness’s crimson eyes gleamed at those words. Sensing his dissatisfaction, Eternity continued,

"Not to mention we also have his world."

He spoke as he pointed at the ’remains’ of the Guild Master who began all this.

"He comes from a low-level Mercenary World named Zaewver. Although I do not have any expectations,

If the so-called Chain Breakers actually hold even half of the arrogance that man displayed,

They will be waiting for us in Zaewver."

"Don’t be ridiculous."

Those words got a reaction out of Darkness.

"As I said, I do not have any expectation.

But that man did say he will be waiting for us to fail."

Suddenly, a small, light grin appeared on Eternity’s otherwise expressionless face and—

"A part of me tells me that he would like to witness our failure with his own hands."

Eternity once again stared at Darkness.

"If that part of me isn’t wrong,

Then this is an invitation."

"An invitation?"

"Indeed, an invitation to Zaewver, where he would like to watch us fail—and we will prove him wrong."

Eternity’s grin widened.

"So you are saying that he and his little group might be there?"

Darkness grinned as well.

"I do not believe they will have the guts to be there, but then again, I did not believe anyone would have the guts to openly challenge us like this.

Think of it as my wishful thinking."

Eternity answered, and Darkness’s grin widened even further.

"That is enough.

I will believe in your wishful thinking and go there."

He laughed, his crimson eyes shining in excitement.

"You cannot."

Eternity shook his head.

"Huh?"

"We still do not know how strong they are."

"...you think I will lose?"

Instantly, the air around Darkness changed. The Guild Masters underneath all froze in fear, as a suffocating energy surrounded them, ready to corrode their very souls.

But then—

"Do not be foolish."

Eternity shook his head.

"You are too strong. They might not reveal themselves if you go there.

I will go instead."

"Hah?"

Darkness tilted his head in a ridiculous manner.

"Are you saying you are weaker than me?"

He grinned.

Eternity, however, didn’t react to his taunts. Instead—

"I will have a way to find them."

"..."

Darkness couldn’t retort against those words. He knew just how resourceful these Eternity bastards were.

"I will also be needing your subordinates."

Eternity mentioned, staring at the other Supreme Borns, instantly getting a reaction out of them.

"Why is that?"

Light questioned.

"You do not expect me to do everything on my own, do you?"

Eternity questioned as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Why not use your own subordinates then?"

Light questioned back.

"Then I’ll be taking all the credit."

Eternity shrugged, and in an instant—

"Do you need the direct borns or outer subordinates?"

Balance questioned.

Clearly, none of them wanted to give away their credit, especially after they came all the way here.

"I simply need a workforce, type does not matter."

Eternity shrugged. Balance nodded with the same nonchalance and took out his Call Artifact, passing orders to his subordinates.

In an instant, three beings who looked similar to him but had a much weaker presence and about ten other beings appeared in front of him, all bowing in unison.

Balance nodded, only acknowledging the existence of three beings who looked similar to him. He then turned towards Eternity and—

"Three Direct Borns and Ten Outer Subordinates. Will that be enough?"

"Yes."

Eternity nodded. He just needed to pass down the orders. How these people completed those orders, whether they called more men to do it or followed the instructions on their own, it was none of his concern.

Seeing this, Light and Darkness moved as well, both of them summoning their subordinates with a similar composition of three Direct Borns and ten Outer Subordinates.

Just like that, the party of thirty-nine was created.

"Take care of things here."

Eternity spoke as he stared at Balance.

He waved his hand as well, and five of his Direct Born subordinates appeared in front of him.

"You will not need them, but if you do, use them however you see fit."

Balance nodded, staring at the five Eternity Borns. The five of them bowed, showing their respect, and Balance simply nodded.

With that, Eternity finally left with the party that was created just now, and Balance once again turned back towards the Guild Leaders beneath and—

"Continue."

He ordered as if nothing had happened.

The Guild Leaders did not dare make him wait either—not after everything that had happened. The last thing they wanted was for the Supreme Borns to take out their anger on them.

The reporting continued, this time even more efficiently than before. The Guild Masters made sure there was not even a second-long delay between two Guild Leaders entering the chamber. Even when the chamber turned red and a soul was ripped apart, creating a spectacle for all to see, this did not change.

Only the Guild Masters who knew their reports were incomplete for whatever reason tried different ways of meeting the same fate, some even trying to take their own lives. But with Balance in charge, it simply did not work.

They were already under the Supreme Borns’ influence—they no longer had control over their own lives.

The only thing they could now do was to wait for their deaths.

...

’Do you think they will come?’

"I hope they do."

On the other side, near the world named Zaewver, a man cloaked in black silver robes and a veil covering his face smirked as he heard a question.

Soon, he removed his cloak, revealing his absurdly handsome face, and his grin widened even further.

"I realllyyy hope they do."

He laughed.

’I don’t understand...’

Suddenly, Lyriana frowned.

’You could have altered your appearance using your powers. Why bother wearing a veil?’

She questioned.

"For dramatic effects, of course."

Nux answered confidently.

’Huh...?’

Lyriana blinked, not knowing what it even meant.

"Come on, a veil obviously adds a more mysterious charm."

’You are not trying to charm them.’

Lyriana answered with a deadpan look on her face.

"I do not try to charm anyone, my Queen.

It happens on its own.

I can’t control it."

Nux laughed, and the women just sighed.

They just couldn’t believe that this man was about to have his first face-off against the Supreme Worlds.

"Are you ready?"

Suddenly, Nux took out a Call Artifact and questioned, and from the other side—

"I am."

Sharnoth nodded with a determined look on her face.

The hunt had indeed begun.
