Chapter 1076: On the threshold of a solution.

The mansion was located deep in a gated community, surrounded by a low fence and neatly trimmed plants.

The house looked solid and well-maintained: two floors, light walls, a dark roof, wide windows with thick curtains and a strong entrance door made of expensive, but not fancy wood and metal.

In front of the house there was a small courtyard with a flat area for cars, several ornamental trees and a narrow stone path leading to the porch. There were no gold ornaments or marble columns at the entrance — only simple but high-quality elements that emphasized the status of the owners without overt boasting.

The mansion gave the impression of a reliable family nest for people whose loved ones were too important to the city to allow them to live anywhere. It was not a house for displaying wealth, but for a quiet life under guard.

Even before reaching the front door, Idan felt someone’s eyes on him.

“Interesting,” he thought, allowing that curious gaze to examine him without any suspicion.

The {Ghost Mask} he wore gave him confidence that the observer would not learn anything useful for himself.

Amanda, slightly behind him, followed him, without taking her eyes off his back.

While she was trying to connect all the fragments together, an authoritative voice rang in her head.

“What are you doing here, Amanda?”

“Who are you bringing?”

“You know that your father forbade anyone to approach this mansion, right?”

Amanda’s heart clenched with fear, and she felt panic. She found out who the voice belonged to.

“I…I…” she tried to find an answer, but before she could say anything, Idan had already reached the entrance and knocked on the door.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

“No!” Amanda managed to exclaim before the powerful pressure of the Soul Force descended on Idan.

“Huh? Platinum rank?”— Idan only wavered for a moment, and then his gaze shifted to the side, to the neighboring house.

His own Soul Force quickly discovered the culprit. It turned out to be a middle-aged man sitting in a comfortable armchair with a shocked face, holding hot tea in his hands.

“Hey, old man, are you tired of living?” said Idan, looking him straight in the eye. He then unleashed his immense Soul Force on the man, slamming him into the chair with such force that it shattered into small pieces.

“Lie down and don’t dig,” he told the man through the Soul Force, before turning around and looking at Amanda’s frightened face.

“Do you know who it was?” asked Idan, tilting his head.

“Huh? What?” — Amanda was completely confused.

Just now, she felt a strong surge of pinpoint pressure, but the guy in front of her didn’t even flinch. And the most amazing thing was that the pressure disappeared as quickly as it appeared, leaving her completely perplexed.

“Well, forget it,” Idan said, turning around and knocking on the door again.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Silence again.

Idan frowned and was about to use his Soul Power to check if anyone was in the house when he suddenly heard footsteps from the other side.

“Who’s there?” a woman’s voice asked.

Idan didn’t answer, but instead turned to the still perplexed Amanda.

She noticed his gaze and said:

“The Blake family.”

There was silence. Only ten seconds later, the sound of the lock opening was heard, and the door on the chain opened slightly. A woman with black hair and blue eyes peeked out from behind her.

Her wary gaze first stopped at Idan, and then shifted to Amanda. When she recognized her, her anxiety dissipated a little.

The door slammed shut and then opened again.

A rather attractive woman appeared in front of Idan.

“Estelle,” — Amanda said, addressing the woman.

“It’s good to see you, Amanda,” the woman nodded back, trying to remain calm, although her voice trembled slightly. “So, what brings you to me?” she asked.

“Eh…” sighed Idan, already imagining the big picture. At the same time, he felt very irritated, and his fists began to itch.

He glanced at Amanda briefly and, without waiting for an invitation, sauntered inside.

The mansion looked even more cozy and cramped inside than it did outside. The light-colored walls, which looked like a sign of high status from the street, created a homely atmosphere, but now it only irritated Idan.

Every piece of the interior, from the neatly placed shoes to the soft carpet, seemed to shout about the desire to create a quiet haven.

“Well, Noah, why did you take Elias’s toy away again?” he heard Estelle’s voice from the living room.

“Noah? Elias?” caught Idan’s eye. When he reached the entrance to the living room, he saw the usual family scene. Estelle was trying to calm one of the crying babies, while the other one, wrinkling his face, was ready to cry at any moment.

The kids looked about a year old.

“Twins?” wondered Idan, seeing the identical faces.

He didn’t need to use the “Threads of One Blood” to realize that the twins in front of him were the very people he was looking for.

“So he’s alive after all,” Idan whispered, and his mood immediately worsened.

Amanda followed him into the living room. She glanced at the kids, and then looked at Estelle.

Estelle quickly hid the crying children behind her back.

“And so… Where is he?” — Idan asked Estelle. “Where is the father of these twins?”

Instead of answering, Estelle looked to Amanda for support.

“He’s not here,” Amanda replied, and added, “He went to the Dungeon Gate this morning.”

“To the Dungeon Gate?” Idan looked at Amanda in surprise. “Did he use a teleporter?”

Amanda hesitated, then nodded.

“So that’s the thing,” Idan finally understood why two of the four threads had suddenly moved to another location.

“Wait a minute… Tell me, Amanda, does he have any other children besides these two?” asked Idan, taking out {Threads of One Blood} and dripping his blood onto the crystal.

As he had guessed, the two thickest threads pointed to the twins. Three threads stretched towards the Central Continent, and two deep into the Eastern Continent.

Amanda, seeing this, blinked in surprise. This time she turned to Estelle for an answer.

In response, she just shook her head and said:

“He’s not his son, but Adriana’s.”

“Huh?” Idan was dumbfounded. “What did you say?”

Amanda and Estelle, in turn, stared at him in disbelief.

Wanting to clarify the situation completely, Idan pointed at the twins and asked:

“Are these two Adrian’s children?”

“Huh? What?” Both women were surprised at the same time.

“No, of course not,” Estelle replied. “These two are Damian’s children.”

“Damian?” Idan was completely confused.

“Wait!” said Amanda. She couldn’t help but ask, considering everything she had witnessed, as well as the properties of the artifact that was in Idan’s hands, “Aren’t you Damian’s son?”

Estelle was shocked by Amanda’s question, and she shuddered and covered her mouth with her hands.:

“Are you… are you Adrian’s son?”
