Chapter 1119: Misunderstanding the situation.

Saelina was followed into the room by an elderly man with long gray hair, in which rare strands of red could be seen.

The fire of life was still burning in his fiery eyes, filled with the wisdom accumulated over the years.

He was wearing a red robe with intricate golden patterns, different from the patterns on Saelina’s robe. However, both outfits indicated that they belonged to the clans of the middle circle.

“I brought him as you requested,” Saelina reported to Idan as she entered the room.

Livia immediately stood up and held out her hand: “Give me back my token.”

There was some reluctance on Saeline’s face, and she glanced at Idan, wanting to know his opinion. If he had told her to keep the token, Livia would have had to accept it.

However, when Idan said a short, “Give it back to her,” Saelina’s face turned sad.

With obvious reluctance, she pulled out a gold token and tossed it to Livia.

“But I could have done so many things with this token,” thought Saelina regretfully.

The Ancestor of the Flaming Cranes, who entered after Saelina, looked around the room, puzzled by what was happening.

His attention was caught by Idan, who was studying him curiously.

“Who is this young man?” the old man wondered, catching only a faint fluctuation of the Golden Rank.

Then his gaze shifted to the place of the owner of the room, where the girl in black was sitting, immersed in her smartphone. No matter how hard old man tried, he couldn’t pick up any fluctuations of power from her.

She didn’t seem to exist in the room at all.

Having no idea about them, but not forgetting who invited him, and realizing his position, the old man turned his attention to Livia.

“Lady Livia,” he said respectfully. “This old man would like to know what purpose you summoned him for?”

Instead of answering, Livia turned her gaze to Idan.

“I asked her to bring you here,” Idan said.

The old man looked at Idan in disbelief, and then at Livia. There was confusion on his face, as if he wanted to ask, “Is this some kind of joke?”

“Old man, I have brought a letter from Elder Elena,” with these words, Idan took out a sealed envelope with the emblem of the Flaming Crane clan from the spatial ring. “As soon as you read it, you’ll immediately understand what’s going on.”

“A letter from Elder Elena?” The old man exclaimed in amazement, but did not immediately reach for the letter. Instead, he turned his gaze back to Livia, wanting to see her reaction and get her permission.

The years of service to the ancient clans of the inner circle have not passed without a trace.

“Take this letter and read it,” Livia said in a slightly commanding tone, as if she were still in charge here.

The old man, having received permission, carefully took the letter, broke the seal and, opening it, began to read.

As he read, his hands began to shake, and sweat broke out on his forehead.

When the old man finished reading, he dropped the letter and immediately fell to his knees in front of Livia.

“My Lady! Please have mercy!” he cried in despair, begging for mercy.

Livia and Saelina, surprised by this unexpected gesture, looked at Idan, seeking an answer.

But Idan was equally puzzled.

He picked up the letter with the Power of his Soul and read it, but saw nothing that could make the old man so terrified. However, after imagining himself in his place, he slapped his forehead.

“This old man mistakenly thought that I had come to report to Libya that the Flaming Crane Clan had colluded with a mysterious force!”

In the letter, Elena briefly described Elira’s breakthrough to the Diamond Rank and the conclusion of a contract with Idan, and also asked to demonstrate the True Golden Fire to him.

And most importantly, in the letter, Elena gave him an external description that was very different from his current appearance. She described Ignis, the disguise in which he appeared before the Flaming Crane clan.

“This old man misunderstood the situation…” Idan briefly outlined the essence of the matter to Livia and Saeline.

“Get up,” ordered Livia imperiously.

The old man, obeying Livia’s order, rose unsteadily to his feet.

“You jumped to conclusions too quickly. If I wanted to punish your clan, you would be the last to know about it, let alone read this letter,” she explained.

“Now listen carefully to what this young man wants, and fulfill all his demands.”

Idan noted with satisfaction how Livia handled the situation without betraying him or harming its authorities.

Knock, knock, knock.

Just as Idan was about to speak, a sudden knock on the door distracted him from the old man.

“It’s that woman,” Prina said, looking up from her smartphone for a moment. “She brought the one you were looking for, Idan.”

Idan immediately became serious, and his gaze turned cold.

The door opened, and a slightly tense Cecile entered the room, confident that she had kept the young man waiting too long.

“I… I brought the one you asked me to bring,” she said, hoping that she would not be scolded.

Idan, without saying a word, took out a {Ghost Mask} and put it on right in front of everyone.

Under the astonished gazes of others, he transformed into his older brother Ryan.

“What the…” Saelina almost blurted out.

Not only his appearance, but also his aura had completely changed.

It seemed to Livia and Saeline that the real Ryan appeared in front of them. No matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t find a single flaw in him. If they hadn’t seen Idan put on the mask, they would have thought it was really Ryan.

“Let him in,” Idan ordered Cecil and, looking around at those present, put his index finger to his lips, calling for silence.

Then, meeting Prina’s eyes, he nodded at her.

The door opened, and a young man, no older than twenty-five years old, entered the room. Tall, slender, with a handsome face and proud bearing, he was not distinguished by any particularly rare feature. Black hair and brown eyes — such an appearance can be found anywhere, including in Idan itself.

No scarlet pupils, no silver hair, no other signs of unusual origin—nothing that could attract attention.

And yet, his appearance made the air in the room seem to change. In front of them stood a man around whom other people’s destinies had revolved for too long.

The man was wearing clothes belonging to the Blake family — strict, dark, without excessive pretentiousness, but with expensive trim, giving away his origin.

It was him, Damian… no, Adrian Blake.
