Chapter 1125: The first attempt to master the True Fire.
Chapter 1125: The first attempt to master the True Fire.
Idan was mesmerized by the Golden Fire that Cyrion was holding in his hands.
His own body instantly reacted to the appearance of this unique fire. Although no, it wasn’t Idan’s body that reacted to the Golden Fire, but his Alpha Fire bloodline.
Obeying the call, Idan transformed into the Alpha of Fire.
His black hair burst into flames, and his brown eyes sparkled and flashed red.
“What the…”
Cyrion, caught off guard by Idan’s transformation, lost his composure, and the Golden Fire on his hands went out.
“No,” — Idan reached for the disappearing spark of Golden Fire and caught it.
Under Cyrion’s astonished gaze, Idan opened his palm, and golden fire shot out from it.
“How?” — Cyrion exclaimed, clutching his chest and forcefully suppressing the sudden hunger that rose from the depths of the bloodline. It didn’t want to bow down to Idan. It wanted to consume him.
“I… I don’t know myself,” — Idan confessed, without taking his eyes off the Golden Flame he was holding in his hands.
“That’s… no, it can’t be… how?” Cyrion began to object. After all, what was in Idan’s hands was his own Golden Fire, not Idan’s Fire.
Idan’s attention was completely focused on the Golden Fire, and Cyrion’s words became blurred.
“This is… It’s a completely different feeling than ordinary flames,” Idan clearly felt it. Resistance and even, it seemed, the presence of will in the Golden Fire.
“It’s more like subjugating a beast.”, — He thought.
Idan watched the Golden Fire for a while longer, and then scattered it. Only then did he meet the old man’s furious gaze.
“What the hell are you?” Cyrion exclaimed.
Idan frowned, noticing the familiar predatory gleam in Cyrion’s gaze. This gaze was similar to the gaze of all the Fire Creatures he had encountered before when he was in his Alpha Fire form.
“Control yourself, old man,” Idan said in a cold and threatening voice. “Many have already fallen, succumbing to temptation. I wouldn’t want you to join their ranks.”
Not only did Idan’s threat not quell Cyrion’s hunger, but it also hurt his pride as a Diamond-ranked being. If Cyrion had been young, he could have suppressed and restrained himself, but now, on the verge of the end of life, the appearance of such a unique bloodline and the desire to live took over.
However, before he could do anything, a terrifying pressure descended on him, causing him to fall to his knees.
Along with the pressure, Cyrion felt the gaze of a powerful being on him.
“Hmph,” the sound of snorting rang out in his head, and it caused him primal fear. The remaining strands of red hair turned white from horror, and the rage and hunger that had driven him to rash actions, frightened, hid inside.
“Sierra?” said Idan in surprise, raising his eyes to the sky.
“Don’t mention it,” — Sierra’s voice echoed in his head, with a playful note in it.
As Sierra had asked, Idan didn’t thank her, just shaking his head with a smile.
Then, ignoring the terrified Cyrion, he raised his hands and summoned his fire.
The usual red flame flared up.
“Hmm…” Idan frowned, trying to recall that unique feeling and summon the Golden Fire. But no matter how hard he tried; he couldn’t summon the true fire.
“It’s not working…” he thought.
After dispelling the red fire, Idan closed his eyes and tried to recreate that moment again.
Abruptly opening his eyes, he rekindled the fire, but… failed again.
After several unsuccessful attempts, he realized that it was impossible.
“Cyrion,” — Idan called to the old man, and he flinched in fright.
His once fierce and greedy gaze was replaced by primal fear.
“Get up, Cyrion, and summon your Golden Fire again,” Idan said slightly imperiously, knowing that the usual approach would not make him recover quickly. And he couldn’t wait to test his theories while they were fresh in his mind.
“Cyrion! Fire!” — only after the second shout did the old man finally come to his senses and, without getting up from his seat, stretched out his hand and summoned the Golden Fire.
Idan, without hesitation, reached out to this shining flame and, barely touching it, intercepted Cyrion’s Fire, making it his own.
“Damn it! That’s it!” he exclaimed, pouring his mana into it and intensifying the fire in his hands.
However, the more powerful it became, the more difficult it seemed to Idan to control it.
“After all, it’s not my fire, but Cyrion’s,” he finally realized.
“If I dispel it now, I won’t be able to rekindle and recreate it.”
After reducing the flame, Idan fell into thought.
How can he comprehend his Golden Fire?
“Maybe I should not keep it outside, but absorb it?” — He thought about it.
In the next instant, Idan remembered how he had once comprehended the element of Lightning. Then he let it through him.
“If I want to understand my Golden Fire, I don’t need someone else’s fire in my palms, but a real fire source… and my Spirit Form.”
A smile appeared on Idan’s face.
“This should work.”
“But before I start, I need to find a suitable place with an abundant fire source…”
The first thing that came to his mind was a Lava Lake.
“No, it doesn’t fit. The reset is coming soon, and it’s not known how long my attempt will take, so it’s better not to take any chances.” Idan quickly dismissed the idea.
After thinking a little more, he remembered the Fire Elemental Tree.
“I wonder how the tree will react to the True Fire?” was the first thing that came to his mind.
“After all, at one time, it absorbed a symbiotic creature from the World of Fire.”
“Well, stop thinking, it’s better to see for yourself,” Idan decided and, taking Cyrion with him, teleported to the Fire Elemental Tree.
Noticing his appearance, the Tree, as if in a fit of joy, trembled, scattering sparks of flame.
Barely able to stay on his feet, Cyrion, seeing an amazing living fire tree in front of him, plopped back down on his fifth point.
“Here I am,” Idan said with a smile, approaching the tree and putting his hand on its trunk.
After greeting the young tree and ignoring the surrounding beasts, Idan turned to Cyrion with a request:
“Cyrion, please give me your fire again.”
The Golden Fire flashed again in Cyrion’s outstretched hand, and Idan, being at a distance, managed to intercept it and summon it to himself.
As soon as the fire was in his hands, Idan turned his gaze back to the tree.:
“Buddy, look what I have,” he said, holding out the Golden Flame towards the tree.
The tree shuddered slightly, and one of its branches reached out to the Golden Fire and caught it.
Once on the branch of the Tree, the Golden Fire flashed brightly and almost instantly engulfed first the entire branch, and then the tree itself.
In a matter of seconds, the fire tree turned golden.
