Chapter 1173: Meeting

In the late afternoon, at the appointed hour, Idan and Arabel left the family home and soon appeared at the entrance to their two-story wooden house, where many of their acquaintances had already gathered.

“Here they come,” said Esma, who was the first to notice their appearance. She was sitting on the terrace with the rest of the Valkyries.

“Sisters,” — Arabel said happily, greeting all her sworn sisters.

All the Valkyries’ attention was focused on her rounded belly. Those who had not seen her for a long time were amazed at how quickly events unfolded.

“It’s already so big!”

“Hehe,” Arabel was very pleased with their reaction, stroking her stomach. She was looking forward to them being even more surprised when they found out the details.

After greeting the Valkyries, Idan and Arabel entered the house where the others were waiting for them.

As expected, most of the people present were women. Of the men besides himself, Idan saw only Arslan, Richard, Ned and Nemo.

As Idan requested, Milica and Sierra invited mostly relatives and closest friends to the meeting.

Looking around the audience, Idan was surprised to find Inessa standing to the side with Yvette, Ina, and Irene.

When their gazes met, Inessa, either scared or guilty, looked away.

Idan just sighed to himself and, turning away from her, noticed Eleanor, his grandmother, who looked completely different. There’s nothing left of the old lady.

“Rank 1,” he said in his mind, feeling the fluctuations of power and, more importantly, the energy of madness.

“So she became Geminia’s subordinate after all… No, more like her disciple.”

Eleanor stood next to Estelle and Amanda, holding one of her youngest grandchildren in her arms. Amanda, in turn, held the other boy, allowing Estelle to enjoy a little respite.

“Ahem!” — Idan coughed to get everyone’s attention.

“Belle and I are very glad that you took the time to respond to our call,” Idan began, gently holding his wife’s hand and looking into her eyes.

Arabel nodded, smiling, agreeing with him.

She was very excited and, taking a deep breath, said:

“Dan and I have gathered you here to share important news about our baby…”

Arabel stroked her stomach with a gentle smile.

There was silence in the room. Some of those present only now noticed how much her belly had grown.

“No, it would be more correct to say about our children.”

“Oh!” The room was immediately filled with excitement.

Arabel paused to increase the tension a little and announced:

“Dan and I are having twins.”

After a moment of silence, there was a burst of applause and congratulations in the room.

“Twins?” Anna and Richard, Arabel’s parents, looked at each other in surprise, unable to believe that their daughter was carrying twins.

“She’s definitely my daughter and just like me,” Anna said laughing, recovering from the shock and overflowing with joy for her daughter.

Eleanor, who was a little to the side, was also very excited to learn that she would soon have not one, but two great-grandchildren at once.

At one time, she had given birth to twins herself, now she had two twin grandchildren, and now twin great-grandchildren were on the way.

Inessa smiled faintly, but her smile quickly disappeared.

She already knew that Arabel was pregnant, but now the news sounded almost like the first time for her. After what had happened to Adrian, her thoughts were all about him. She followed him without looking back, driven by pain, habit, and feelings that couldn’t be broken in one fell swoop.

However, looking at Arabel and Idan, Inessa suddenly realized that she had hardly thought about her son’s future child, her grandson. Or, as it turned out, grandchildren.

This realization pierced her heart.

And for the first time since she left Adrian, Inessa seriously wondered if she had made a mistake.

Ned, overwhelmed with joy and pride for his sworn older brother, involuntarily turned his gaze towards the Valkyries. His gaze landed on one of them, a girl with long, slender legs and blond hair that darkened at the tips.

Milena noticed his gaze, but quickly shifted it to Arabel. No matter how hard she tried to stay calm, her cheeks turned slightly red.

“Boys or girls?” asked Anna.

“Of course they’re girls,” Esma said confidently, and Sierra and Lucinda nodded in agreement.

As Valkyries, they were convinced that a Valkyrie could only give birth to other Valkyries.

For the Valkyries, the birth of twins was a rare but not impossible event. Therefore, Arabel’s words only slightly surprised them.

Arabel was in no hurry to reveal the gender of her future children.

She looked at Sierra, Lucinda, and Esma with a smile.

When they saw her smile, they looked at each other, and a shocking realization was reflected in their gazes.

“Both, “— Arabel said proudly. “A boy and a girl.”

Suddenly, two figures appeared in front of Arabel: one dark, the other light, slightly startling her.

It was Sierra and Lucinda.

The excitement in the hall subsided from the unexpected action of the two Valkyries.

“May I?” asked Sierra, holding out her hand.

Arabel exchanged a quick glance with Idan, and when she saw that he didn’t object, she nodded.

“You too, sister,” Arabel said, noticing Lucinda’s hesitation.

After receiving permission, she also reached out her hand, and together with Sierra, they gently touched Arabel’s stomach, checking the babies.

As Arabel had said, the two older Valkyries saw them, a boy and a girl.

Fire and ice.

But what struck them the most was their bloodline.

Valkyrie and Alpha.

Sierra and Lucinda stared at Arabel as if she were some kind of monster.

A Valkyrie who bears two children with different higher bloodlines at once.

This violated one of the fundamental rules of Junonia.

Most of those present were not well aware of this.

Arabel, seeing the rare expression of shock on her sisters’ faces, was very pleased.

Sierra and Lucinda were followed by Esma and Milica. They also checked on the children personally and, having confirmed Arabel’s words, were no less amazed.

After congratulations, Arabel stepped forward and invited all the women to gather in the living room of her and Idan’s family home to chat only in the company of women.

Of course, everyone was happy to accept her offer.

Leaving the men, the women quickly moved into the living room.

When they were alone, Arslan, Ned, Richard, and Nemo turned to Idan.

Idan asked them a question:

“Does anyone want to go to the bar?”
