Chapter 1270: Let’s start with the most likely option

After Idan briefly explained his explanation, Papa Dragon was silent for a while before asking a question.:

“Are you saying that if it wasn’t for the Temple, the Challenger would have chosen the Lava Lake as his target rather than the Ice Caves?”

“Yes,” Idan nodded. “Conquest is impossible if there is a Temple in the Forbidden Area.”

“It wasn’t my idea. These are the rules of Limbo. Ask someone who follows the rules, he will confirm it.”

Papa Dragon’s face took on a sour expression.

Do you want to tap into Limbo’s Mind to learn about the rules? No, Papa Dragon didn’t want to do that.

“There’s no need for that,” he said, shaking his head. “I’ll believe your words.”

Then he leaned over to Idan and asked:

“The Temple has disappeared. Is the Challenger preparing to come to us in the near future?”

Idan, without taking his eyes off his vertical pupils, said:

“I can’t say for sure.

He wasn’t going to make empty promises.

“Nemo is busy with his own business right now, and I haven’t discussed his immediate plans with him yet,” Idan confessed. “But I’ll talk to him, even though I can’t promise anything definite.”

Papa Dragon didn’t even blink. He exhaled, and hot air blew over Idan’s face.

“Okay,” agreed Papa Dragon, not catching the lie in Idan’s words.

“Tell the Challenger that we are waiting for him,” Papa Dragon said.

“I will,” Idan replied, and without waiting, he began to take out the pre—arranged batches of candies.

Papa Dragon’s mood improved noticeably, and he hurried to hide the candies in his dragon storage like a jewel.

After getting everything he wanted, Papa Dragon lost interest in Idan and waved his paw at him.

“If that’s all, then you can go,” he said.

“What about Hailey?” asked Idan.

“Hailey?” Papa Dragon cocked his head to the side. “Ah! Is that her name?”

Idan’s right eye twitched. These two dragons didn’t even know her name.

“Core recovery is not a quick matter, so she will stay here. As soon as we’re done, we’ll expel her from here,” Papa Dragon declared and instantly teleported Idan to the borders of the Lava Lake.

After finishing all the business with the Dragon’s parents and settling all the issues, Idan did not linger and, opening the portal, returned to the Kingdom.

“Now Elira and the rest of the Flaming Cranes can return to mining fire element crystals,” Idan thought, using his Power over the Kingdom to find them. Instead, his attention was drawn to a small gathering in the living room of his and Arabel’s house.

Idan immediately teleported there.

“Dan, you’re back,” Arabel noticed him first. “How did you solve the issue with the baby dragon’s parents?”

“I’ve settled everything,” Idan replied with a smile. Then he looked around the room and stopped at Nemo, who was sitting with his eyes downcast and lost in thought.

“Dan,” — Arabel called, using a mental link. “Master and the others have just returned from the Ellarium.”

Arabel immediately filled Idan in on the details of what had happened.

As planned, Milica, along with everyone else, took Nemo to her friend, a Rank 8 Healer.

The Healer carefully examined Nemo’s wounds, as well as his bloodline seal. Arabel did not go into details, but said that the Healer confirmed the information that Idan and Arabel had known from the very beginning – the seal of Nemo’s bloodline was paired.

“The Nemo bloodline seal doesn’t have a key, there’s only a condition that needs to be met to safely remove it,” Arabel said. “They found out that the seal was originally placed just like that, without a key, and it can be removed by brute force. However, there is a problem related to the pairing of the bloodline seal.”

While Arabel explained to Idan, Nemo was torn over the choice.

He could remove the seal now, allowing the Healer to destroy it with brute force.

The healer told him that, most likely, he himself would not be injured. However, the backlash caused by the destruction could seriously injure the second bearer of the paired seal.

Nemo knew nothing about this man.

Because of the lost memories, he couldn’t even tell if he still had anyone close to him.

Milica and the others told him that the seal had been placed on him since birth, and by its nature, they assumed that the second bearer was most likely his blood relative, perhaps a brother or sister.

Now Nemo had to decide whether to get rid of the seal immediately, risking the life of an unknown loved one, or first try to find him without having a single clue.

He longed to get rid of the seal and finally heal from his wounds. He couldn’t wait to get his arm and face back. Then he could stop hiding behind a mask and look at Lina’s face without regret.

However, despite his desire, he was not ready to risk the life of a possible loved one. He was aware that if in the future it became clear who this person was, and if he really suffered because of his choice, he would never forgive himself.

Idan stared at Nemo in silence for a while, then walked over to him.

“There’s nothing to think about,” he said calmly.

Nemo raised his head and looked at him through the slits of the mask.

“The seal can be removed tomorrow, or in a month, or even in a year,” Idan continued. “But if you destroy it now and someone gets hurt because of it, you won’t be able to bring it back.”

Nemo clenched his single hand into a fist.

He knew it himself. That’s why I still couldn’t make a decision, despite the fact that I wanted to get rid of the seal more than anything in the world.

Before Idan appeared, they had already discussed the possible consequences. No one thought it was right to put an unknown seal carrier in danger, but they had no way to find him. Therefore, they did not put pressure on Nemo with their arguments and decided first to find out what choice he would make himself.

“So you think I should refuse?” he asked dully.

“Not to refuse, but to postpone,” — Idan corrected him. “We’ll find a second host first. If it turns out that it is safe to remove the seal, you will immediately return to the Healer.”

“But how are we going to find him?” Lina asked. “Nemo has no memories, no possessions that could point to his family. We don’t even know where he’s from.”

It was this question that prevented them from coming to any decision before Idan appeared.

Lina, saying these words, felt very embarrassed. Even her avatar didn’t know where Nemo was from, as he never shared information about his family, always trying to avoid the topic. Lina, who hid her origin herself, did not try to find out this information.

“Let’s start with the most likely option,” Idan suggested, holding out his hand, and a round disk appeared in his palm.

Lina and Nemo were amazed when they saw this. They had completely forgotten that Idan had such an artifact.

“Threads of One Blood,” he said, showing it to the others. “An artifact designed to find blood relatives. If the second bearer of the seal is indeed one of Nemo’s parents, his brother or sister, we will have a chance to find him.”

The eyes of the audience immediately focused on the artifact.

Nemo stared at him motionlessly, not daring to believe that for the first time in many months he had a real opportunity not only to get rid of the seal, but also to find out who he was before losing his memory.
