Chapter 738: Milica's second contract.
Chapter 738: Milica’s second contract.
“Screeee!” — with a piercing cry, accompanied by a crackle of lightning, a huge glowing bird landed in front of the temple, causing a commotion.
Idan, standing next to Milica, watched this incredible sight with wide eyes, unable to believe that this was his Master’s second contract.
“A Phoenix?” exclaimed Idan, mesmerized by the majestic bird that resembled the Dark Phoenix that Arabel was turning into. However, unlike the Dark Phoenix, this one was created from the element of Lightning.
“Yes, it’s a Lightning Phoenix,” Milica said with pride and a smile, stepping forward to meet the bird.
Idan did not miss the opportunity to use his {Eye of Identification}.
————————–
**Identification:**
Name: Zarxil
Race: Lightning Phoenix
Rank: Rank 5 (Daimond)
Random information: Lightning Phoenix hates Lightning Rabbit and wants to eat her.
————————–
Choose one additional information:
* Stat (Intelligence);
* Stat (Stamina);
* Affinity;
* Gender.
————————–
“Are two out of four stats again?” wondered Idan. Knowing that the affinity of the Phoenix is the Lightning element, he chose the latter option. “I choose the Gender.”
————————–
Gender: Male
————————–
«Male?» — Idan raised his eyebrows in surprise. He had noticed a long time ago that there were many women and beasts around him that were female. It was amazing to see a mythical male Phoenix.
“Damn it, does this Phoenix really want to eat my potential partner?” Idan’s opinion of Phoenix quickly soured when he saw the random information given out by System.
“You know, I’ve tried to conquer the Valley of Lightning several times, but in all that time I’ve never met a Phoenix there or even suspected their existence,” Milica said, walking up to the Phoenix and gently stroking him.
The phoenix was truly magnificent, its body as if made of condensed twilight and pure electricity. Instead of feathers, his flesh was covered with tightly fitting scales-crystals resembling thin fragments of purple amethyst.
Pulsating veins could be clearly seen along the phoenix’s spine and chest. In the center of the chest, behind the translucent plates, there was a core — a dazzling bundle of energy that glowed brighter than the rest of the body and set a rhythm to the flickering of the entire plumage with lightning sparks.
The creature’s wings were powerful arcs of ionized air, supporting hundreds of long needle-shaped feathers made of frozen light.
The phoenix’s powerful paws and curved beak looked like dark, almost black metal with a mirror-like sheen, on which small purple sparks randomly slid. The long tail consisted of several ribbons of living radiance, which did not have a permanent shape and twisted in the air, like residual discharges after a thunderstorm hit.
The phoenix’s eyes are two bright sources of energy, like small thunderstorm cores. With each blink, subtle discharges flash in them, leaving glowing “cracks” in the air for a moment.
“Perhaps I would never have known about them if I hadn’t been able to regain my Spirit Form. It was my phenomenon that attracted the attention of Phoenix, who eventually agreed to sign a contract with me.” Milica was very happy that she was able to sign a contract with Phoenix, and therefore did not worry too much about the fact that she could not tame a rare Rabbit.
Milica herself did not realize that it was the Rabbit’s presence and her attempts to gain her trust that caused Phoenix to be jealous and agree to enter into a contract with her. The realization of this fact came to her only after she signed a contract with Phoenix.
Remembering those events, Milica shook her head with a smile, feeling grateful to the Rabbit. After all, if it weren’t for her presence, she wouldn’t have known if Phoenix would have agreed to sign a contract with her.
“Scree” Phoenix sang softly, enjoying Milica’s caresses.
Although there were lightning bolts flashing across Phoenix’s body, they didn’t cause any harm to Milica as she gently stroked him.
Idan, who was watching this scene, felt some anxiety, fearing that he might be struck by lightning.
Under the close attention of the audience and Idan, Milica gently stroked the Phoenix and gracefully jumped onto its back.
“Idan, don’t be afraid, come here,” she called. “As I said, I’ll help you get to the outskirts of the Lava Lake faster.”
“I don’t think this is the best idea,” Idan wanted to object, but he didn’t.
He met phoenix’s gaze and saw some disdain and possessiveness in his bright eyes.
But since Milica was his Master and the Phoenix was her tamed creature, Idan put aside his fear and jumped up and easily climbed onto the Phoenix’s back.
“Screee,” Phoenix said with a slight contentment, and a light lightning bolt ran through Idan’s body, slightly stunning him and making his hair stand on end.
However, since Idan also had an affinity with the lightning element, he quickly came to his senses and felt the discomfort begin to give way to comfort.
Phoenix, in turn, was slightly surprised to realize that the guy who climbed on his back also has an affinity for the lightning element. His disdain subsided slightly, and through his connection with Milica, he realized that this young man was his Mistress’ disciple.
“Screech!” Phoenix’s shrill cry rang out again, and, leaving behind a spark of purple lightning, it soared into the sky, swiftly heading towards another Forbidden Zone — Lava Lake.
Phoenix’s speed was truly amazing, but the Soul Force that Milica released and sheltered them both protected them from all the effects of the rapid flight.
Settling comfortably on Phoenix’s back, Idan pulled out the Manual on basic cooking techniques he received as a gift from the Host of the Supreme Chef System.
After some thought, Idan came to the conclusion that it would still take time to learn how to cook sweets and make sure that he could do it. And since the “Reset” to Limbo is just around the corner, and Elira needs to be picked up from the Lava Lake, Idan decided to do this first, while simultaneously mastering and practicing cooking.
“First, I need to deal with Elira and the dragon, conclude a second contract, and then form a Third Star. And only then will I be able to focus on taming the Rabbit,” Idan thought, opening the Manual on basic cooking techniques.
I would like to express my gratitude to those who give gifts, power stones and golden tickets. Your support allows me to stay motivated and continue working on the book.
