Chapter 984: You have no idea who and where you dared to attack.

Idan, having left his group, had been rapidly flying towards the central layer of the Fiery Anomaly for some time.

He was followed by a long trail of fire, which was left behind by his flaming wings.

His attention was focused on the unexplored part of the Anomaly’s middle layer, where he hoped to discover something unique.

Idan was ready for anything: whether it was a new, yet-to-be-seen resource of the element of fire or earth, or a new kind of beast that had evolved under the influence of the Anomaly’s energy.

But soon he stopped, having received an alarming signal from his contracts — from Ned and the Dragon.

“What? An ambush?”— Idan was surprised and, turning around, rushed back.

He had not managed to fly far away when he felt a familiar invisible stream of power touching him.

“The black stone?” — a thought flashed through his mind, and at that moment he lost touch with his System.

Following that, several bright rays of light rained down on him, which scattered his wings, and Idan fell with a crash from a great height onto the black stone surface, raising a cloud of black ash.

Falling from such a height was painful.

The rays of light that scattered his flaming wings and knocked him down from the sky continued to fall on him.

From the moment the rays touched him, Idan began to rapidly lose the fire energy that nourished and repaired his wound.

His Alpha of Fire bloodline didn’t have time to absorb the energy from the environment full of fire elements.

Idan felt himself getting weaker by the second.

Rising among the rubble and ashes, Idan turned his gaze to the sky, wanting to see the source of the mysterious rays.

High above him, he noticed five figures, four of whom were holding an object resembling a lantern. It was from this lantern that the beam that illuminated him came.

“Creatures of Fire!” flashed through his mind. Despite the black cloak hiding their true identity, one glance from Idan was enough to figure out who they were.

Although Idan had lost contact with the System, information about the five creatures that had ambushed him still flashed through his memories.

The other four: two of them were Flaming Albatrosses, and two were Flaming Lions.

Unlike their leader, all four of them were Platinum-ranked.

“The black stone and the black cloak… there’s no doubt about it. They are in cahoots with the creatures of Darkness, and they are most likely the ones who attacked the group,” Idan thought quickly.

He no longer felt Ned and the Dragon, as if something was interfering with his connection with them.

“How many black stones did Darkia distribute to all these creatures from other worlds?” cursed Idan, not for the first time falling under the influence of this stone.

Darkia claimed that she had stopped supplying black stone to creatures from other worlds, but she also admitted that she had managed to sell quite a lot of them. She advised him and Arabel never to let their guard down.

“Without the System, I can’t figure out what artifacts they’re using to suppress my abilities,” Idan thought with annoyance as he watched the lanterns. “But they’re definitely above the Platinum rank, since they don’t let my bloodline feed me.”

It was obvious that these creatures of fire were well-versed in how to resist other members of their element, and had come here prepared.

Moreover, the dark cloak on them helped them to remain unnoticed.

“Surrender, Idan Fein!” said the Flaming Condor, the leader of the creatures of fire, with confidence.

“Resistance is useless.”

The behavior of the other four creatures showed Idan that they agreed with their leader.

“Just say one thing,” Idan said, not wanting to waste time talking. “Is this a personal decision or is this the position of your World of Fire?”

The Flaming Condor frowned. His displeasure was caused not only by the question, but also by the tone in which Idan asked it.

The situation wasn’t going in Idan’s favor, but he exuded such confidence that it didn’t bother him too much.

“I want to understand whether the Kingdom should perceive the world of Fire as an enemy or not,” Idan added, seeing that they were silent.

“Fool,” — said the Flaming Condor. “The strong always get what they want. It doesn’t matter if someone is an enemy or not.”

The four of them put even more power into the lanterns, and the light became more intense. Idan began to lose strength even faster.

It was obvious that they were trying to suppress him and capture him.

But instead of falling into despair, Idan began to smile at them.

“You have no idea who and where you dared to attack,” he told them bluntly.

Then, looking at the artifacts, he said:

“Let’s see how powerful your artifacts are and if they have a limit?”

The fading flames around him flared up with renewed vigor.

Then his body began to transform into flames, and all the nearby fire elemental energy began to move and rushed towards him.

His leaking fire elemental energy quickly recovered and began to grow rapidly, and the rays of the lanterns could no longer suppress him.

All five fire creatures widened their eyes as they watched Idan transform into the embodiment of flame, subjugating the Anomaly’s environment.

They were so shocked that they did not notice how all four lanterns quickly overflowed with fiery energy, smoked and stopped working.

“I’ve never fought in my Flame Spirit Form against other Fire creatures except Elira,” Idan thought, looking at the five opponents.

“Since they tried to suppress me by taking my powers away from me, why don’t I return the favor?”

With these thoughts, using his understanding and power over the flame, Idan fully focused his attention on the five Creatures of Fire.

The shock that engulfed them quickly turned to horror as they realized how their own strength was rapidly draining away from their bodies.

Before they could even think about retreating, a tremendous pressure of Soul Force descended upon them, depriving them of any chance of escape.

Only the Flaming Condor tried to resist the pressure of the Idan’s Soul Force, reinforced by the Flame Spirit Form and the First Constellation.

But Idan, not wanting to waste time here, appeared in front of him and slashed with a sharp crystal blade {Light King Sword}, cutting off his head.
