The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System

Chapter 925 - The betrayal

Chapter 925 - The betrayal

Xiaohu could only stare at Qingyi with eyes full of betrayal as his body sailed back toward Bai Hu Lie, the wind whistling in his ears.

The tiger loomed over him like a black-and-white blur, its massive fist already coming down.

He didn't even have time to raise his arms.

The punch struck Xiaohu squarely in the face. His head snapped back, and the taste of iron flooded his mouth.

Xiaohu's body plummeted like a stone.

His back slammed into the arena's marble floor with a sharp thud. A pained groan escaped his lips as the impact ripped every last bit of air from his lungs in one go.

Cracks spread across the platform like spiderwebs. The floor gave way beneath him, and his body sank into a shallow crater as a cloud of dust billowed up all around him.

He simply lay there, motionless.

Dust drifted down onto his face, but his eyes stayed fixed on the blue sky as he contemplated his own life.

He, the great and incomparable coward Xiaohu, being forced to exert himself!

Xiaohu raised a bloodied hand and touched his own face.

Firm, manly skin met his fingers. His face had taken on handsome, sharp features, and this was still far from the peak of his beauty.

Where were his chubby, adorable, rosy cheeks?

Where were the dozens of kilos of fat on his belly?

He sighed, defeated.

Not that he minded the young beauties of the sect finally paying him attention, now that he was no longer considered a lost cause.

Still, seeing himself so strong and masculine… that was a problem.

What if a group of disciples were in danger and saw him walking by?

They'd think he could help, for sure!

Xiaohu opened his mouth to whine, but he couldn't even manage that. Only a faint wheeze escaped his throat.

A huge shadow fell over him.

Bai Hu Lie pulled a bottle of liquor from his spatial ring, popped the cap with a snap, and poured the contents straight onto Xiaohu's face.

The formerly chubby boy choked, coughing and spitting, the liquid running down his chin and mixing with his blood. The alcohol seeped into every cut on his face, stinging like hell.

The liquor was wonderful, but this wasn't exactly how he wanted to drink it.

"Come on, don't be such a crybaby!" Bai Hu Lie laughed, tossing the still-half-full bottle to Xiaohu. "I have a seven-year-old little cousin—even he's more of a man than you."

"Ah… go fuck yourself," Xiaohu cursed, catching the bottle in midair.

He raised it to his mouth and took a long, greedy swig, the heat of the liquor burning its way down his throat, before forcing a serious expression onto his face.

Climbing out of the crater and brushing the dust off his clothes, he turned his eyes to Qingyi.

"Big Brother Qingyi… you know, as a Stellar Sovereign and now recognized as a genius in the Alliance, I have to take part in the war among the younger generations… but you can change that! Why don't you put in a good word with Master Tianjin for me? If you make a move, he'll definitely pull some strings and—"

"No." Qingyi didn't even let him finish.

"It'll be good for you. Bai Hu Lie is also going to attempt a breakthrough before the war, so you two can go together. For your awakened bloodline, facing so many young talents from the Demon Faction is a great opportunity."

Xiaohu shot Qingyi a wounded puppy look, but found only coldness in those eyes.

He knew it wasn't worth insisting, so he gave up right away.

"You're way too cruel, Big Bro..." He shook his head and slumped down onto the edge of the crater, even holding his breath, as if he had already accepted his death.

Qingyi and Bai Hu Lie ignored him completely.

The massive humanoid tiger pulled two more bottles of liquor from his spatial ring.

He tossed one to Qingyi and kept the other for himself.

It was a pale red liquor, and when Bai Hu Lie flicked off the cap with one of his claws, a sweet aroma spread throughout the entire courtyard, strong enough to mask the smell of dust and blood hanging in the air.

He tipped the bottle to his lips.

It was a two-liter bottle. He drained it in two gulps, his furry throat bobbing with each swallow.

"Ah… that's good." Bai Hu Lie growled in satisfaction, wiping his muzzle with the back of his hand. Thick white fur covered it, marked with black stripes like the rest of his body.

Qingyi also took a sip and nodded, savoring it. "Where did you get this?" he asked.

"In the Immortal Heavenly Capital—I bought a hundred bottles at an auction," Bai Hu Lie said, shrugging. "There are only five left now, but that doesn't matter."

He took a step forward and spread his arms wide, pulling Qingyi into a bear hug that would have cracked the ribs of any normal person. Qingyi didn't even flinch.

"Brother-in-law, it's been so long since you've come to train! Come on, tell me, how's my little sister? Is she pregnant yet?"

He let go of Qingyi but kept his enormous hands on the young man's firm shoulders, staring at him expectantly.

"Yunxi is fine, but I haven't gotten her pregnant yet."

At that, a hint of disappointment flashed across Bai Hu Lie's feline face, and his ears drooped slightly.

"Well, whatever." The tiger took a few steps back from Qingyi, cracking his knuckles and clenching his fists.

"Come on, your face and your voice are way too soft! They need a few punches to toughen up," Bai Hu Lie said, a grin full of sharp teeth and long fangs spreading across his face.

He pulled his right fist back while pointing his left at Qingyi, who smiled.

"Just don't go running around begging for mercy like Xiaohu once I start beating you up," Qingyi teased, also clenching his fists.

Xiaohu heard that, but didn't even care.

He wasn't a particularly proud person, and, well, he was just happy not to be included in that fight. He took another sip of liquor, settling in more comfortably to watch.

"In your dreams, hahaha!" Bai Hu Lie roared with laughter and then charged forward.

His powerful body tore through the air at blinding speed, the marble shattering beneath his feet with every stride.

Fist met fist.

The crash was terrifying—an explosion of force that made everything for kilometers around tremble, the shockwave sweeping the dust off the courtyard and flinging Xiaohu's sweat-drenched hair backward.

Xiaohu squinted against the gust and hugged his bottle to his chest, refusing to spill a single drop.
