The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2460: I got you

Chapter 2460: I got you

The discovery that spies from the higher realms were operating within the Dark Blood Realm carried far-reaching implications.

First, it meant that powerful enemies were already moving across this territory. Those who had crossed realms to search for the Sacred Treasure could not be ordinary figures. At the very least, they had to possess strength at the King Level, or something close to it.

Those were figures that could put Cain’s life in danger if they managed to sneak up on him, and that could kill his Royal Guards in a direct battle.

And that was only the beginning.

If they were searching outside their own realms, then there was a high probability they had already gathered most—if not all—of the fragments available in their home realms.

One piece was not a problem, but if several were fused, they could grant whoever wielded it an amazing power, at least that was what the Dark Blood King shared with Cain and the others.

The situation became truly alarming when Cain realized something even more troubling.

The Royal Bloodline spy was flying in the same direction as his Blood Avatar.

"A coincidence?"

Cain immediately issued a command. The Blood Avatar veered sharply to the left, accelerating to its maximum speed while he kept the spy’s position fixed in his awareness.

His concern was confirmed almost instantly.

The spy adjusted his course.

"He can sense the fragment!"

A solemn feeling rose in the Scarlet King’s heart.

"Another user of the Power of Chaos?"

From the vision, Cain had not detected any unique aura surrounding the man. Still, distance could distort perception. The only way to be certain would be to observe him directly.

Cain’s expression grew grave as he considered his options.

He could report the spy’s presence—but he had no way to explain how he knew without revealing his ability to perceive the fragments.

Yet doing nothing was not an option either.

The spy was moving at astonishing speed, and his trajectory was already locked onto the fragments carried by the Blood Avatar. It was only a matter of time before he caught up and seized them.

Cain’s mind burned as he searched for a solution.

Then his eyes suddenly lit up.

A flash of insight crossed his gaze, followed by a calculating gleam. A plan began to take shape—dangerous, risky, but filled with enormous potential.

Danger had never been something that deterred the Scarlet King.

A wide, radiant smile spread across his face as he made his decision.

He sent a command to the Blood Avatar. The incarnation immediately began to glow, its body igniting from within as it burned its own essence. The sacrifice pushed its speed to an entirely new level. Then it turned northwest and shot forward like a streak of blood-red lightning.

After that, Cain calmly continued the mission assigned by General Fausto as if nothing unusual were happening.

Together with the Royal Guard, he secured another dangerous quadrant. The area was thoroughly cleared, and the land was scanned to ensure no fragments were hidden.

But instead of immediately moving on, an impatient expression appeared on the Scarlet King’s face—one that Samira and the rest of the squadron clearly noticed.

"This is too slow," Cain said coldly.

He cast a sharp glance at Morningstar and Hades.

"You two will take half the squadron and proceed to the designated positions. Satan and I will take the rest and advance toward the dangerous quadrants in the opposite direction."

The Royal Guards nodded immediately.

Normally, the Blutlinie warriors would have objected. Their duty was to monitor the situation and keep an eye on Cain, and splitting the force would make oversight more difficult. While openly opposing Cain was unthinkable, they could have requested that the order be transmitted through official channels and approved by General Fausto first.

It was a reasonable request—and one Cain would have had no legitimate reason to refuse.

However, faint traces of scarlet light flickered deep within the eyes of those Blutliline warriors who even considered speaking up.

The Power of Chaos twisted their thoughts subtly, smoothing their doubts and dulling their caution.

In the end, none of them spoke.

They simply obeyed.

A small smile appeared on Cain’s face as he sensed the effect. Without further delay, he divided the force and led his half of the army away.

Far from Cain’s location, a Royal Blutlinie streaked across the sky at astonishing speed, his presence carefully concealed.

The man was strikingly handsome, with a lean yet powerful build. Both of his eyes glowed with a deep purple light.

He was the spy, and a deep frown creased his brow.

He could not understand why the fragment’s trajectory had suddenly changed so drastically. Even more surprising was the fact that it was now moving faster.

"Did someone from this realm retrieve it already?" he wondered.

After a moment, he shook his head.

"If that were the case, they would be taking it to the Dark Blood Kingdom’s capital. This direction doesn’t lead there."

"A trap?" The possibility crossed his mind. Operating as an agent in hostile territory meant assuming the worst.

But the thought did not stop him.

His eyes hardened with determination as he accelerated, unleashing his full speed. It became harder to keep his presence perfectly hidden, but delaying any further could mean losing the fragment entirely.

Several days passed in pursuit.

Finally, the spy’s eyes sharpened.

He had found it.

In the distance, he saw the fragments—held within a strange humanoid figure made entirely of blood.

The sight was unusual, but he did not hesitate.

The spy extended his hand and clenched his fist.

At that moment, the Blood Avatar froze.

It was as if the grasp of an invisible god had closed around it. The power locked the avatar in place, rendering it completely unable to move.

"I got you," the spy said with a satisfied smile.

But the smile shattered the very next instant.

Because a calm voice spoke from directly behind him.

"And I got you."
