The Evolution Of A Goblin To The Peak

Chapter 1336: Great Shen Empire: Dark Young

Chapter 1336: Great Shen Empire: Dark Young

In the distance, the blood-colored lightning gradually dissipated, revealing Souta as he emerged from the dust and smoke. He walked forward at an unhurried pace, his sword still in hand, and fixed his gaze on the three remaining members of the Council of High World before shifting his attention to Thousand Earth and Kers Time.

‘Good. It seems they have no intention of retreating just yet. I can make use of this.’

Suddenly, Souta tilted his body to the side.

BOOOOM!!

A massive black tentacle slammed into the ground where he had been standing moments earlier, pulverizing the earth and sending chunks of debris flying in every direction.

Souta glanced at the enormous appendage before letting out a mocking laugh.

“You won’t be able to hit me like that. You didn’t even bother hiding your aura.”

With that, he stretched out both hands and clamped them around the tentacle. The moment he seized it, the muscles in his arms bulged as he exerted his strength.

His feet sank deep into the ground, the earth beneath him cracking under the tremendous force he unleashed.

Then, with a violent twist of his body, Souta hurled the enormous black goat toward the three members of the Council of High World.

WHOOSH!!

The monster’s massive body hurled through the air like a living projectile, its tentacles flailing wildly as it flew toward the unsuspecting trio.

Having thrown the dark young aside, Souta straightened his posture and turned his attention to the scene unfolding behind him.

His eyes narrowed.

Hundreds of dark youngs were marching toward the battlefield, their grotesque bodies advancing in an unrelenting tide. With every step they took, the ground trembled beneath their collective weight, sending ripples through the devastated landscape.

The creature he had just thrown was only an Initial Stage Fifth Stage monster.

And among the hundreds approaching, there were more than twenty other Fifth Stage monsters.

Souta’s lips curled into a grin.

The battlefield was about to become far more chaotic.

Souta tapped his foot against the ground, and darkness immediately spread outward from beneath him.

[Shadow Spike]!!

Countless dark spikes erupted from the ground, tearing through the battlefield as an immense gravitational force descended upon the surrounding area.

BOOM!!!

The ground crumbled beneath the overwhelming pressure, sending clouds of dust billowing into the air.

Souta knew that an attack of this magnitude wouldn’t be enough to kill the Fifth Stage monsters. Their bodies were simply too tough, and their vitality was far beyond what ordinary creatures could possess.

But that wasn’t his intention in the first place.

He wanted to draw their attention.

And that was exactly what he needed.

SHIIIIIRHKKK!!

A series of bizarre, ear-piercing shrieks erupted from the mouths of the black goats. Their countless tentacles writhed violently as they fixed their attention on Souta’s location.

In the next instant, the entire horde surged forward.

They charged like an unstoppable army of bulldozers, trampling everything in their path. Trees, boulders, and the remnants of ruined structures were crushed beneath their advance. The ground shook violently as hundreds of monstrous bodies swept across the battlefield, leaving nothing but destruction in their wake.

Souta laughed lightly.

He kicked off the ground and shot into the air, flying straight toward the three remaining members of the Council of High World, Kers Time, and Thousand Earth.

“Aggro.”

He uttered the word with a playful grin.

This was going to be a chaotic battle.

The dark youngs would keep pouring onto the battlefield, relentlessly attacking anything that crossed their path. Their numbers alone were troublesome enough, but the presence of more than twenty Fifth Stage monsters made the situation considerably more dangerous.

And that was precisely what made this battle so thrilling.

With so many powerful creatures rampaging across the battlefield, even the slightest mistake could turn fatal. The members of the council, Kers Time, and Thousand Earth would have to deal with Souta while simultaneously keeping the monstrous horde at bay.

If a Peak Stage Fifth Stage monster appeared, they might not even be able to stop it.

Souta shrugged inwardly.

‘Well, it doesn’t matter.’

Souta arrived in midair and opened his palm, summoning dozens of bolts of lightning that rained down upon the battlefield. At the same time, several doppelgangers emerged beneath his feet, immediately rushing toward Thousand Earth and Kers Time from different directions.

Kers Time merely raised his hand.

The flow of time shifted, and the incoming lightning bolts and doppelgangers abruptly stopped in midair, frozen in place as though the world itself had come to a standstill.

In that instant, Thousand Earth stepped forward and swung his fist toward Souta.

Souta didn’t retreat. He tightened his grip on his sword and swung it directly at the incoming fist.

BOOOOM!!!

The fist and sword collided in midair, unleashing a tremendous shock wave that swept across the battlefield. The surrounding air twisted violently beneath the force of their impact, sending clouds of dust and debris spiraling in every direction.

Yet that was only the beginning.

Before either side could follow up, the dark youngs finally reached the battlefield.

They poured in from every direction, surrounding Souta, Kers Time, Thousand Earth, and the three remaining members of the Council of High World.

Several Fifth Stage monsters led the horde, accompanied by dozens of Fourth Stage monsters and more than a hundred Third Stage creatures. Their grotesque bodies crowded the battlefield, their writhing tentacles casting countless shadows across the devastated land.

And their numbers were still increasing with every passing second.

More monsters continued to emerge from the enormous spatial crack in the sky, descending upon the central region like an endless tide of darkness. The spatial rift showed no signs of closing, and the creatures pouring out of it seemed to have no end.

Everyone couldn’t help but feel a chill run down their spines.

They were already facing a terrifying enemy in Souta, yet now they had to contend with an entire horde of monsters while the arrival of the Lord of the Wood loomed over their heads.

The situation was rapidly spiraling out of control.

But Souta gave them no time to think.

He immediately launched another attack, his blood-colored lightning surging with renewed ferocity.

[First Form: Lifeless Tribulation of the Blood Lightning]!!

[Fourth Form: Lightning Critical Enhancement]!!

RUMBLE!!

Dense bolts of blood-colored lightning poured down from the sky, illuminating the battlefield in a blinding crimson radiance. The lightning struck indiscriminately, forcing Kers Time, Thousand Earth, and the three members of the council to raise their defenses against the relentless assault.

They had no choice but to defend themselves.

With Souta standing in their way, escaping was easier said than done.

‘It’s too early… I’ll let you leave, but not yet.’

Souta’s eyes gleamed with wicked amusement.

He wasn’t planning to let them escape so easily. Not when he could use this chaotic battlefield to his advantage.

He raised his sword, then brought it down in a vicious slash. A torrent of blood-colored lightning followed the blade, crashing toward his enemies with enough force to tear through the surrounding air.

“Gluttony Army! Council of High World!! Hahaha! Look at this!!”

His maniacal laughter reverberated across the battlefield, drowning out the roars of the monsters and the thunderous explosions of colliding energies.

To Souta, this wasn’t merely a battle.

It was a spectacle.

And he intended to make sure everyone played their part.

In the distance, Shen Yao stared at the enormous spatial crack hanging above the ruins of the Royal Capital.

Her expression grew solemn as she felt the immense pressure weighing down on the atmosphere. Even from this distance, the sheer magnitude of the energy radiating from the crack was enough to make her chest tighten.

“A Monster Lord is going to descend here…”

She could already guess what was about to happen.

What troubled her even more was the identity of the Monster Lord preparing to enter this world. This wasn’t an ordinary Monster Lord. Its reputation alone was enough to send shivers down the spines of countless powerful beings.

The hundreds of black goats pouring out of the spatial crack had already revealed its identity.

There was no mistaking them.

It was the same entity that had appeared in the three theaters.

The infamous Lord of the Woods.

At this moment, more than a thousand black goats had already emerged from the spatial rift. They spread across the central region like a raging wildfire, their grotesque forms sweeping over the land as they destroyed everything in their path.

Cities crumbled beneath their advance. The earth was torn apart, and the ruins of the once-prosperous capital were swallowed by an ever-expanding tide of monstrous creatures.

They were an incarnation of destruction, leaving nothing but devastation wherever they went.

Shen Yao felt a heavy weight settle in her heart.

She had experienced countless dangerous missions throughout her time in the Heavenly Court, but never had she imagined that something of this magnitude would happen here.

The infamous Lord of the Woods was about to descend upon this land.

What had begun as a simple mission had spiraled into a catastrophe beyond anything she could have anticipated.

And the worst part was that this might only be the beginning.
