The Evolution Of A Goblin To The Peak

Chapter 1339: Great Shen Empire: Ninth Shackle Realm

Chapter 1339: Great Shen Empire: Ninth Shackle Realm

He had to retreat immediately. He was already injured and growing exhausted. Fighting the Blood Lightning Monster had placed an enormous strain on his body, and he couldn’t afford to continue fighting in his current condition.

Suddenly, Kers Time sensed an immense surge of energy. He whipped his head toward its source and immediately leaped backward.

In the next instant, a devastating beam struck his previous position, triggering a massive explosion that soared into the sky.

Kers Time’s expression darkened further. He coughed violently, the metallic taste of blood filling his mouth.

“My condition is getting worse,” he muttered.

He pushed his perception to its absolute limit, desperately trying to sense everything happening around him.

An Advanced Stage Fifth Stage Dark Young was unleashing a relentless barrage of [Bestrou] from the other side of the battlefield. Meanwhile, multiple Fifth Stage monsters were scattered throughout the surroundings, battling the other three members of the council.

Hmm… Where are the Blood Lightning Monster and Thousand Earth?

At that moment, he finally detected Thousand Earth’s energy fluctuations more than ten kilometers away.

The fluctuations grew stronger and stronger, rapidly intensifying until they expanded with overwhelming force, drowning out the surrounding energy signatures.

Among all the energy fluctuations permeating the battlefield, Thousand Earth’s energy was rising at an astonishing rate.

“Don’t tell me…?!”

…

In the distance, a powerful wave of energy swept across the battlefield, scattering the thick clouds of smoke and dust.

Thousand Earth stood at the center of the devastation, his expression cold and composed. The energy radiating from his body was several times greater than before, surging around him with overwhelming intensity.

He had become stronger.

Thousand Earth raised his head and slowly ascended into the air. Immense energy swirled around him like a raging hurricane, distorting the space around his body.

“Thank you, Blood Lightning Monster. Without you, I wouldn’t have achieved this breakthrough today,” he said calmly.

He clenched both fists, and a massive golem materialized beside him.

He had finally broken through to the Ninth Shackle Realm.

Even Thousand Earth himself hadn’t expected to reach this level today.

For a long time, he had remained at the peak of the Eighth Shackle Realm. Yet despite being only at that level, his strength was extraordinary. He was powerful enough to fight and even defeat Ninth Shackle Realm experts while still in the Eighth Shackle Realm.

He was one of the Gluttony Army’s rising stars, a talent who could have become a potential successor to a Hero had the Ruler of Gluttony not fallen.

His talent and combat prowess were exceptional, placing him among the rare prodigies capable of rivaling the extreme geniuses nurtured by the Holy Lands.

Ohm!!

Thousand Earth’s eyes gleamed with immense power as his body rapidly adapted to the strength of the Ninth Shackle Realm. The energy surging within him continued to stabilize, growing more formidable with each passing moment.

Opposite him, approximately twelve kilometers away, Souta smiled faintly and raised both hands.

His appearance had changed dramatically.

Pure black armor enveloped his body, while a crimson glow radiated from his silhouette. He looked like a featureless shadow, an ominous figure stripped of all distinguishable details.

He stretched out his hands, forming a rectangle with his thumbs and index fingers. Through this frame, countless thin webs spread across the entire battlefield, so fine that they were invisible to the naked eye.

His hands were pure white, starkly contrasting with his pitch-black armor. White eyes opened across his torso, their gazes radiating an unsettling presence.

Then, an eye slowly opened on his forehead.

Its gaze shimmered with terrifying power.

‘Eighty percent assimilation… This is my current limit.’

Souta silently calculated the amount of power he could unleash. His strength had already increased significantly following his class promotion, yet even that wasn’t enough to allow him to reach one hundred percent assimilation.

It’s still not enough.

He needed more power.

He needed to become stronger.

At one hundred percent assimilation, he would be able to pave the way toward harnessing the power of the Eternal Moon. By then, he should possess enough strength to rival a Tenth Shackle Realm expert.

But for now, he had already accomplished what he needed to do here.

The three members of the council wouldn’t die just yet. He still needed them alive to confirm a few things. Besides, the Lord of the Woods would descend soon, and the situation was bound to deteriorate further once that happened.

Speaking of the Lord of the Woods, her children, the Dark Youngs, were quite unusual.

Most monsters that reached the Fifth Stage possessed intelligence comparable to that of humans and demis. In fact, many Fifth Stage monsters were even more intelligent than ordinary humans.

The Dark Youngs, however, were the complete opposite. They behaved more like wild beasts, relying on their instincts rather than displaying any meaningful intelligence.

Perhaps that was precisely why so few of them had ever reached the level of a Monster Lord.

‘It’s time for me to wrap things up here,’ Souta thought inwardly. He had already seen what he wanted to see, so there was no longer any reason for him to stay.

He spread out his perception, sensing the locations of all nearby beings. The Dark Youngs, Kers Time, Thousand Earth, and the others all came within his range.

He locked onto Thousand Earth’s location. Then, bending his knees slightly, he launched himself forward like an arrow.

Swoosh!!

Souta appeared in front of Thousand Earth and immediately swung his sword. However, a golem materialized and blocked his attack. Souta narrowed his eyes and spun around, raising his leg for a kick. At the same time, the four spider limbs on his back shot forward.

The golem blocked his kick, but the four spider limbs struck its body.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Souta was about to launch another attack when he sensed something approaching from behind. He turned just in time to see a massive fist hurtling toward his face.

He twisted his body to the side, barely evading the punch.

‘Thousand Earth… He’s achieved a breakthrough. He’s grown strong enough to rival me at eighty percent assimilation.’ Souta narrowed his eyes as he continued moving, evading the barrage of heavy punches Thousand Earth threw at him.

Not even a second had passed before Souta sensed the golem closing in from behind. As expected, the golem had managed to break through his four spider limbs with brute force.

Thousand Earth stood before him, while the golem closed in from behind.

It was a pincer attack.

Souta snorted as powerful waves of light and darkness erupted in different directions. The light swept toward the golem, while the darkness surged toward Thousand Earth. Both elements moved as though they were alive, converging on their respective targets while constantly shifting into different forms.

At eighty percent assimilation, Souta could imbue his attacks with the laws of the Imperium to a certain extent. Through the power of his third eye, the countless spider webs he had spread across the battlefield became anchors, binding the surrounding laws within a radius of one hundred kilometers.

The laws responded to his presence, surging toward him as though answering his call. They were the laws most familiar to him.

Light and darkness.

Light was powerful, but his mastery of darkness surpassed it by a wide margin, especially now that his darkness element had reached its primal form.

With these law-infused attacks, Souta could contend with the formidable Thousand Earth, who had just broken through to the Ninth Shackle Realm.

Still, Thousand Earth was no ordinary expert.

Even after being struck by Souta’s law-infused attack, he had suffered only a few injuries. He remained standing, his powerful body enduring the assault. Had another early or intermediate Ninth Shackle Realm expert taken the same attack head-on, their condition would have been far worse.

After withstanding the assault, Thousand Earth came to a halt and stared at Souta with a deep frown.

Rather than confronting Souta directly, he allowed the golem to take the lead and engage him head-on.

This power… He’s using the laws of his surroundings to empower his darkness and light! He’s harnessing the laws of the Imperium! I never expected him to have something like this in his arsenal!

Thousand Earth realized that the darkness and light permeating the battlefield were writhing as though they were alive. Even the light reaching his eyes seemed different, distorting his vision and presenting the world in an unfamiliar way.

Suddenly, he spun around as his entire body hardened into stone.

The light in the surroundings wasn’t merely empowering Souta’s attacks. It was harming every living being in the area. Fourth Stage Dark Youngs began dropping dead as countless light particles pierced through their bodies, riddling them with holes.

For a brief moment, Thousand Earth’s attention was drawn to the horrifying sight.

That moment of distraction was all Souta needed.

Thousand Earth failed to notice that Souta had already broken free from the golem’s assault. By the time he turned around, Souta was rushing toward him, his sword aimed directly at his head. Blood-colored lightning erupted from the blade, twisting and weaving through the air like living serpents.

An overwhelming sense of danger washed over Thousand Earth.

Just as the sword was about to reach him, a massive shadow descended from above.

Ohm!!
