Chapter 1340: Great Shen Empire: Arrival
Chapter 1340: Great Shen Empire: Arrival
Both Souta and Thousand Earth looked up, only to see the Advanced Stage Fifth Stage Dark Young plunging toward them.
Without hesitation, the two leaped backward, narrowly avoiding the monster’s devastating slam.
The instant they regained their footing, they kicked off the air and shot forward, launching a simultaneous counterattack against the Dark Young.
Their attacks struck with terrifying force, causing the monster to release a piercing wail of pain.
Shriiiiiiiiiikhhh!!!
Dozens of black tentacles lashed wildly in every direction while several of its mouths opened and unleashed [Bestrou] beams simultaneously.
Souta and Thousand Earth continued their fierce clash while weaving through the Dark Young’s relentless attacks, striking whenever an opening appeared.
Their figures blurred across the battlefield, leaving countless afterimages in their wake. Each collision unleashed successive shock waves that tore through the surroundings. Their movements were so fast that the energy trails left behind intertwined into a chaotic web of intersecting lines, moving at speeds that ordinary observers couldn’t follow with their naked eyes.
The Dark Young’s speed paled in comparison to that of Souta and Thousand Earth. However, its defensive capabilities were simply monstrous. Even with the two of them attacking it simultaneously, they could barely inflict any meaningful damage on its body.
Souta, on the other hand, held nothing back. Maintaining his incredible speed through the Second and Fourth Forms of his Archetype, he zigzagged across the battlefield, his movements erratic and unpredictable. Blood-colored lightning, darkness, and light erupted with every swift yet devastating strike he unleashed.
His primary target remained Thousand Earth, but he never lost sight of the dangerous Dark Young. He had to keep track of both opponents, ready to evade their attacks while searching for an opening to strike.
However, defeating Thousand Earth while remaining wary of the Dark Young was no easy task.
Thousand Earth worked in perfect coordination with his golem, pushing his elemental power to its limits. With every gesture, enormous meteorites materialized in the sky and hurled toward Souta. Each one measured five hundred meters in diameter, their massive forms blotting out the sky as they descended.
BOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM!!
The battlefield erupted into chaos as the colossal meteorites crashed down, unleashing devastating explosions that shook the entire central region.
The three combatants fought with everything they had, unleashing their full power without the slightest concern for their surroundings.
To them, the destruction of the surrounding land was nothing more than collateral damage.
Far from the battlefield, Kers Time stared at the blinding lights in the distance, his face deathly pale.
“This is too much… Even after Thousand Earth broke through, the Blood Lightning Monster can still fight him on equal terms!”
Given his current condition, Kers Time knew he would struggle to keep up with the Blood Lightning Monster. If they fought now, he could easily imagine himself being defeated within a minute.
The mission has failed…
There was no way he could turn the situation around anymore.
“Blood Lightning Monster… Just what are you trying to accomplish in this place?”
Kers Time gritted his teeth in frustration.
RUMBLE!!
He suddenly looked up as a colossal sword made of compressed rock tore through the dark clouds. It stretched five kilometers into the sky, its weight exceeding hundreds of billions of tons.
But the sword’s sheer size and weight weren’t the most terrifying aspects of its existence.
Its mere presence tore through the boundary between dreams and reality, distorting the very fabric of space around it.
“This is only the second time I’ve seen this…”
A voice suddenly sounded beside Kers Time.
He turned his head and saw a bald man standing next to him.
It was Voltarion.
“The [Divine Sword of Earth]… The ultimate manifestation of Thousand Earth’s Archetype. He once used it to slay an Advanced Ninth Shackle Realm expert while he was still in the Eighth Shackle Realm,” Voltarion muttered.
Kers Time remained silent, his gaze fixed on the distant battlefield.
Both men understood what this meant. Thousand Earth had now reached the Ninth Shackle Realm, and his strength should be comparable to that of a Peak Ninth Shackle Realm expert. With the [Divine Sword of Earth], his power could approach that of the Tenth Shackle Realm.
Against such an attack, almost any other expert would have perished.
Yet the Blood Lightning Monster had forced Thousand Earth to unleash this devastating technique, one that demanded an enormous amount of energy to maintain. Thousand Earth must have been pushed to his limits; otherwise, he wouldn’t have resorted to using the [Divine Sword of Earth].
Even under the overwhelming pressure of a Monster Lord’s impending arrival, the Blood Lightning Monster continued to display strength that defied imagination.
Truly, he lived up to his legend.
The Only One.
…
On the other side, Xue Yi stood in the air, observing the distant battle.
“Really?! The laws of darkness and light are resonating with him. He disappeared for several months, and now… The name Blood Lightning Monster will shake the entire continent after this. To display such strength in the presence of a Monster Lord is a monstrous feat in itself.”
The name Blood Lightning Monster was already a household name. After this battle, however, his name would inspire even greater fear in the hearts of his enemies.
Xue Yi felt that even those higher entities would be shaken by this news.
…
Meanwhile, Shen Yao was left shocked by the sheer scale of the battle.
She knew the Blood Lightning Monster. The two of them had participated in the battle of Selnes Country in the past, which was why she found his current display of power so astonishing. The strength he was showcasing was terrifying, surpassing even that of veteran Ninth Shackle Realm experts.
Back then, he had been hailed as the strongest Fourth Stage monster. And now, it seemed he was on the path to becoming the strongest Fifth Stage monster.
“It’s unbelievable…”
Shen Yao muttered to herself. Faced with the overwhelming power displayed before her, she could only admit that she was far inferior to what she was witnessing in this battle.
Even the prodigies from the Holy Lands would pale in comparison to the Blood Lightning Monster.
…
On the other hand, near the enormous spatial crack, Red Mist hovered in the air, her brows furrowed.
The battle was taking place close enough for her to feel the terrifying intensity of the clashes in the distance.
“The Destroyer of Walpurgis… He’s actually cornering Thousand Earth.”
She watched as the enormous sword plunged into the ground, unleashing a cataclysmic eruption of darkness and light that spread in every direction. The entire atmosphere grew unbearably oppressive, as though the world itself was struggling to withstand the power being unleashed.
Hmm…?
Red Mist suddenly sensed something amiss and turned toward the spatial crack.
The flow of energy had abruptly changed. More importantly, the presence of the Monster Lord had vanished. She could no longer sense it, yet the enormous black tentacles remained visible, several of them still attached to Bloom Lotus’s body.
“She’s coming…” she muttered.
In the next instant, an overwhelming presence erupted from within the spatial crack.
BOOM!!
The air itself seemed to boil as countless Dark Youngs surged out of the rift. Massive, pitch-black bodies tumbled toward the ground before their countless tentacles began writhing and thrashing. One after another, monstrous auras erupted from their bodies, and then the Peak Fifth Stage Dark Youngs began to emerge, each radiating an immense amount of energy.
Red Mist was stunned, but she desperately forced herself to remain calm.
These Dark Youngs shouldn’t attack her. After all, she had already struck a deal with the Lord of the Woods.
Still, the sheer number of creatures emerging from the crack was alarming.
There were more than ten Peak Fifth Stage monsters, and even more continued to pour out.
This was a disaster for the entire land.
Red Mist took a deep breath, trying to steady herself as unease crept into her heart. She knew that if these Dark Youngs surrounded her, she would undoubtedly perish at their hands.
RUMBLE!!
The enormous black tentacles suddenly stirred, forcing the spatial crack to widen until it stretched several kilometers across.
SHIIEEEEEEEEEERKKKHHHHH!!!
A bizarre, ear-piercing shriek reverberated throughout the central region, spreading across the entire Great Shen Empire. Everything within a radius of several thousand kilometers was shaken by the horrifying sound.
It was a scream that could drive ordinary people insane.
An indescribable sensation washed over the land, as though the world itself had been plunged into an unfathomable nightmare.
THUD!!
A deafening impact echoed through the air as an enormous mass of black flesh slowly emerged from the spatial crack.
“My children…”
The voice echoed directly inside everyone’s minds. It sounded as though thousands of voices were speaking simultaneously, their words overlapping in a chorus that sent shivers down the spines of all who heard them.
Red Mist’s body trembled uncontrollably. It was an instinctive reaction, an involuntary response to the overwhelming presence of a higher entity.
Ohm!!
The dark cube floated before the spatial crack.
Countless black tentacles suddenly shot forward and wrapped around it, dragging it toward an enormous mouth that seemed capable of devouring anything in existence.
The cube disappeared into its gaping maw.
