Chapter 1637: Seven Day Tournament(4)
After Philip accepted the decision, his wedding date was scheduled for three months later. That time passed in the blink of an eye, and it was finally the wedding day.
Lorne had purchased a seven-bedroom house with all the savings he had and all the wealth he had accumulated over the years. If it weren’t necessary, he would have never done it, but since his children had now started becoming adults, they needed their own rooms if they were to get married.
Of the seven, five were children’s rooms, one was the room where Lorne and his three wives lived, while the seventh room was for family matters.
The house was decorated with lights, and everyone in the family wore smiles as a celebration had come after a very long time.
The wedding process was simple and was over in half an hour. Philip and his wife were taken to the former’s room, where the two consummated their marriage.
The couple lived like deviants, much to the happiness of Lorne, and ten months later, Lorne’s first grandson was born.
Time kept flowing and years passed in the blink of an eye.
A hundred years had passed since Philip married, and now that seven-room house had grown to a skyscraper with more than a thousand rooms. More than seventy percent of those rooms were occupied by Philip’s descendants.
The Svant family had changed a lot in the past century. Lorne was now a Level 15 member with a total lifespan of one thousand years.
Currently in the family hall, Lorne and his five children sat there with grave expressions.
The Svant family had long become a first-level family, so now they had their own territories, but since they were subordinates of a second-level family, they sometimes had to do things they didn’t want. That was the situation when Lorne was asked to lead a group to a secret realm that had appeared.
It wasn’t that the secret realm was useless, but it was the opposite. It was filled with valuable resources. Unfortunately, it was proportionally dangerous.
The rewards matched the danger level, but Lorne and his group needed to hand over whatever they gained in the secret realm to their master family, and they could only take whatever they would be rewarded based on their contribution.
Lorne always knew that these days would come, so he calmed down and accepted the order.
He then led his grandchildren with the Grey Pequin to the secret realm.
The group was separated upon entering the secret realm, so Lorne had to search for his family members one by one.
One of his talented granddaughters was in the group, and she was his first target to find.
Lorne had lost all hope of reaching Level 50 or above and could only leave that to his descendants, so those descendants who turned out to be talented were invested with resources, while those who were average got very little.
Lorne knew that was unfair in a family, but he was willing to do anything to make the Svants a third-level family. Even he didn’t know why he was so obsessed with that, but he had just accepted it.
While searching for the granddaughter, Lorne came across a group of people fighting.
His heart skipped a beat when he saw a familiar figure, Lenita. Lenita was also Level 15, but she was several hundred years old and didn’t have much talent.
The only great thing about Lenita was her father. Lenita’s father was a Level 48 being, one of the decision-makers of the master family.
Lenita wouldn’t even look at him originally, but seeing the situation, Lorne couldn’t help but hope that Lenita would fall for him. He could then use her father’s resources for himself and the Svant family.
He didn’t wait any longer and rushed toward the fight. His arrival tipped the balance toward Lenita, but luckily for him, she was injured, so she didn’t leave right away.
Lorne used that opportune moment to support Lenita and grow closer to her. His strategy worked without fail; he sealed the deal by sleeping with her.
He didn’t hold himself back over the next few days and tried as much as possible to impregnate her. Lenita also understood what Lorne wanted to do, but she didn’t care. While the people were dying for resources in the secret realm, the two were fucking each other without limits.
After a long revelry of lust, Lorne finally remembered that he had come with his descendants and left to search for them with her help.
The first person he found was his fellow partner, the Grey Pequin that had now grown to a Level 17 creature.
The trio then found the remaining member of the group over the next couple of days. Unfortunately, not many survived, but to Lorne’ relief, the granddaughter was still alive.
Rumble!
The group was moving ahead when suddenly the ground rumbled and shook. Before they could make any movement, the ground cracked open and swallowed the entire group.
Lorne felt heavy as he sank underground at a rapid pace, with darkness enveloping the group. The only saving grace was that there was still air left for him and others to breathe.
After an unknown amount of time, the group stopped sinking, and the darkness disappeared.
Before them stood a vast field filled with valuable herbs, with even the lowest one being required by a Level 40+ being.
Lorne’ eyes turned red with heavy breath as he looked at the endless field. If he were to sell even one percent of the resources before him, it would allow him to gain enough resources to create a stable foundation for the Svant family over the next several thousand years.
Lorne then looked at Lenita, who had the same expression. The two had already discussed marrying after leaving the secret realm, since Lenita was already pregnant.
