Chapter 1229: Unappreciated Genius.

Unfortunately, the quest for conversion efficiency was not so easy. First, the divinities are not in a straight line. They must form a web relative to each other and still form a wave relative to the Supreme Metac.

Specifically, a longitudinal wave similar to the waves produced by the surface of a pond when a pebble is tossed into the lake. In this way, the divinity will vibrate in the same direction as the flow of energy, reducing resistance and maximizing power output.

This is good and all, but it means that the position of the divinity must be -3-dimensional. Therefore, he has to pay attention to the position of every unit of divinity on the x-axis, y-axis, and z-axis within the space of the Supreme Metac.

Second, the divinity’s position was not fixed. The required position for every unit of divinity changes each time he makes any change to the position of a single unit. This part has made his work quite a headache.

Because of these two difficulties, he often compliments the 4-D prototype, which doesn’t need conversion efficiency and doesn’t give him issues about how to arrange the divinity within it.

’I guess that’s what I get for making Entropy the foundation of the 4-D prototype. Entropy is disorder and doesn’t need order.

He would have loved to copy the position of divinity within the 4-D prototype for the Devouring Supreme Metac. Unfortunately, the 4-D prototype has no meaningful order and doesn’t need order because its output is Entropy.

Second, the foundation of the 4-D prototype’s internal structure was built with Supreme Metacs, not units of divinity. So the 4-D prototype and the Devouring Supreme Metac have very few things in common.

Third, even if they were both 3-D Metacs and both needed order in their divinity, he still couldn’t copy the position of Divinity in one and use it for the other because there is no single right answer.

Normally, different Supreme Metacs have different rules, orientations, and requirements for arranging divinity. But even in identical Supreme Metacs, the answer will differ because external factors affect the position of Divinity in one Supreme Metac.

These external factors include total divinity, divinity in individual attributes (especially the Divine Spirit), divinity from other Supreme Metacs, the preferred mode of activating Supreme Metacs, the type of commonality used to build the Supreme Metac, etc.

’And the difficulty will only get worse the higher my cultivation becomes. If I am struggling with 10% conversion efficiency of 27 units of divinity now, I can only imagine how difficult getting 20% conversion efficiency of 54 divinity when I become a two-star celestial.’

’And if I am lucky enough to become a ten-star celestial, I will have to find a way to achieve 100% conversion efficiency for 2,700 units of divinity,’ he thought, shaking his head in wonder.

He wondered how difficult it would be and how long it would take. It was such a massive undertaking that he was still thinking about it as he used the Hunting Form Divine Metac as a base template for a Supreme Metac.

According to his protocol, he started by using the Hunting Form Divine Metac to make a Cosmic Dao, a Grand Dao, a Major Dao, and then a Minor Dao. Whether by bad luck, poor workmanship, or wrong rules, his first attempt failed.

He failed to convert the Hunting Form Metac into a Cosmic Dao as the incomplete Supreme Metac fell apart even before the final commonality was put in its place.

The fact that he couldn’t reach the finish line before collapse indicated that the failure was entirely his fault, as only substandard work collapses on its own without external pressure. But he still shook his head in pity and grumbled that the universe had no eyes and was blind to the value of his work.

"The world doesn’t appreciate my kind of genius," he said with a sigh.

After lamenting the prejudice of the universe against him, he set to work making a Grand Dao with the same rules. His goal was to create a Supreme Dao that would let him transform into a wolf and control other wolves.

The rules he used reflected this goal and outlined how the transformation would work and the mechanism for controlling subordinate wolves. This time, his attempt failed close to the final commonality. So the fault was still his.

"Ok, seriously. What am I missing here?" he asked in frustration.

He would have loved to close his eyes and blame the world for his failure. But he and the world both knew this failure was all on him. And if he wanted to make progress and correct his mistakes, he had to first acknowledge the mistake.

Unfortunately, the world was brutal and uncaring. Deciding to be humble and accept blame for this failure didn’t mean things would get better.

"What if I try to make it by using a connection between wolves as the goal?" he asked himself.

Since the world wouldn’t answer his question straightforwardly, he decided to put the idea into action and see what it would get him.

He tried to make the Grand Dao again with a different goal, which was to focus on controlling and enhancing the power of wolves instead of becoming the wolf.

He was essentially splitting his initial goal into two. Unfortunately, it failed. The Grand Dao refused to form.

However, there was a silver lining, and it was that he was able to reach the finish line with this set of rules before the pressure of the world descended on the Supreme Metac to validate his work. The world didn’t seem impressed with his work, and no Grand Dao had an interest in it, so the incomplete Supreme Metac fell apart.

This put a smile on his face as he said, "At least I’m doing something right."

With his confidence replenished, he decided to give the Cosmic Dao another try using the Hunting Form and the new set of rules he devised.
