So she said to Loki, “So be it. “I swear on my Dao Heart to give you the Berserker Supreme Metac, lend you all of the Rank 8 disciples in my sect to invade one large world for one year, not expose your scheme with your sect to the whole world, and tell you everything I know about the ancient cultivation system as soon as you ask me for it, as long as you give me the Soul Supreme Metac.”

Even though she felt that everything was fine, she still added an extra contingency to the deal. She made sure he could borrow her divine beings for only one year and use them to invade one large world.

Loki didn’t mind this extra attachment and smiled as he said, “It is nice doing business with you.”

As he spoke, his true body tore a rift in the sky of the lower realm. Then the true body sent down the Soul Supreme Metac.

The avatar in the Blessed Heaven World went up to get the Soul Supreme. After receiving it, he presented it to Heavenly Eye in the divine constellation.

But Heavenly Eye didn’t want to send her avatar to meet with him, and his avatar didn’t want to send the Supreme Metac to her true body. They didn’t trust each other, so they used the Will of the Blessed Heaven World as a middleman for the deal.

Loki’s avatar gave the Supreme Metac to the Will of the Blessed Heaven World, and the Will sent it to the sky to Heavenly Eye’s true body on Loki’s behalf.

After getting the goods, Heavenly Eye began working to pay off the debt for the Soul Supreme Metac. First, she sent a message to every Rank 8 cultivator in her sect in the Sea of Worlds, asking them to prepare to be mobilized for an invasion in the coming months.

Then she said to Loki, “I’m preparing the divine beings. Soon they will be ready to set off when you want. Now, what did you want to know about the ancient cultivators?”

“Let’s start from the beginning to the end. How do they go from being mortals to Dao Lords without Metacs?” Loki asked.

Heavenly Eye smacked her lips as he said, “I was not an ancient cultivator, so I can’t be sure. The information I have about the ancient cultivation system comes from what I’ve heard from Tepid Scholar and read in records from the upper realm. So take it with a grain of salt.”

“From the beginning, ancient cultivators used spirit roots to attract and absorb spiritual energy into their bodies. With spiritual energy, they go through stages of Energy Refining, Foundation Establishment, Golden Core Formation, Nascent Soul, Divine Palace, Divine Transformation, Dao Initiate, and finally Dao Lord.”

“At the Energy Refining stage, they absorb spiritual energy into their Energy Well. They refine the spiritual energy, increasing its quality and quantity the way we do in Rank 1.”

“In the Energy Refining stage, they can only use spiritual energy to strengthen their bodies. So they are limited to having stronger bodies and longer lives.”

“The disadvantage of that stage was that they were physical fighters without much variation, and every race was limited to their innate abilities. Birds who fly get to fly better and faster with spiritual energy, and rhinos become bigger and stronger.”

“The advantage was that anyone with a spirit root could enter this stage without any help or cultivation technique. From then on, cultivation becomes more complicated.”

“To advance to Rank 2, they need to establish their foundations. We use Core Metacs while they use heavenly and earthly treasures.”

“Heavenly and Earthly treasures are artifacts born and created in nature. They can also communicate with spiritual energy and have special abilities.”

Chuckling, she said, “Those Heavenly and Earthly treasures are actually eggs of elemental creatures. They are usually created by the Will of the world, converting natural objects like soil, water, wind, clouds, and trees into living creatures.”

“So those Heavenly and Earthly treasures were actually children of the world. Ancient cultivators absorbed them into their bodies and fused them with their Energy Wells.”

“At this point, cultivators could finally use abilities other than their natural physical abilities. They can consume their life energy to produce fire, a gust of wind, or a spurt of water.”

“So they absorb elementals to control the elements,” Loki said, understanding.

“Not exactly,” she said, shaking her head. “I won’t call it control of the elements just yet. At best, it’s the production of elemental forces.”

“They can’t even control the flames they produce and bend them to their will. They can only produce it and point it in the general direction of their enemies to attack them.”

“They also couldn’t control the fire and elements in the world. So how can it be called control?” she asked, sneering.

“No, it isn’t control. Controlling the elements will come later. In the meantime, they have to convert their Energy Well into a Golden Core.”

“The requirements to advance to the Golden Core stage are to fuse perfectly with the Heavenly and Earthly treasures, both in body and mind.”

“In body, the Heavenly and Earthly treasures must fuse perfectly without any sense of rejection. In mind, they must eliminate the residual will within the Heavenly and Earthly treasures.”

“Once perfect fusion in body and mind has been accomplished, they can advance to the Golden Core stage and begin developing the Heavenly and Earthly treasures, making them stronger.”

“Hmm. So far, the stages are cultivating the self into a vessel, fusing a Heavenly and Earthly treasure into the vessel, and growing the Heavenly and Earthly treasure. Is that right?” he asked her.
