Chapter 894: The Threshold Of Collapse.

Even though Loki didn’t know what the danger was or why a defeated foe was dangerous to him, he still sensed danger, so he sought to eliminate that danger as soon as possible.

After Loki heard Time Traveler’s last words, he heightened his senses to perceive anything that might be out of place. But he couldn’t sense anything, and nothing went wrong until Time Traveler was sealed.

With the black force field trapping Time Traveler, he couldn’t escape. It seemed the seal also prevented him from exploding the Supreme Metac on his way out. The Devouring Ability was also ripping into him while he was being sealed.

His lifespan was the first to go. Then his consciousness within the Supreme Metac followed after he lost his lifespan. So all that was left to be sealed was an empty Supreme Metac that was ripe for the taking.

Loki exhaled lightly once he was sure that Time Traveler was dead. The danger he was sensing had also waned considerably, so he felt that he could relax. But he didn’t relax just yet.

He didn’t plan to until everything was over and the Supreme Metac was safely within his grasp. So before relaxing, he pulled the sealed Supreme Metac over to himself.

When the Supreme Metac reached him, he grabbed it and absorbed it into his body. As a result, the Supreme Metac entered the core of his Cave Heaven, where it was absorbed by his Divine Spark.

With the Supreme Metac now within his grasp, he allowed himself to chuckle and say, "If Time Traveler knew that it was the Divine Metac of Golden Sun that exposed his schemes, I wonder how angry he would have been."

Meanwhile, inside of him, from the Divine Spark, the Supreme Metac entered the empty void to meet with the spark of power. The two entities, one small transparent colorful ring and one large white sphere, approached each other and fused to become one.

Upon fusion, the knowledge of the rules of time rushed into Loki’s mind. As the knowledge saturated his mind, his understanding and mastery of the Time Pathway surged to extraordinary levels.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t indulge in the feeling of gaining knowledge because the Cave Heaven was breaking up around him. Cracks were spreading within it, and the black water of the river of death was gushing into it from outside.

The Cave Heaven had lost all of its support, so it was normal that it would break down. But even if the Cave Heaven still had the Supreme Metac, it couldn’t continue to stay in the river of death.

The Cave Heaven needed Time Traveler to use the Time Loop Metac to maintain its state in the river of death. So without the support of the Time Loop Metac, even with a Supreme Metac, the Cave Heaven would still be eroded and crushed by the river of death.

Now that the Cave Heaven didn’t even have the Supreme Metac, it was collapsing from pressures both within and without itself. This caused the rate at which it was collapsing to surge.

Loki tried to assimilate the Cave Heaven, but it was like fighting a losing battle. He covered the Cave Heaven with the black force field to assimilate it, but the river of death wrestled him for it.

He definitely couldn’t defeat the river of death. But worse still was that the Cave Heaven was also collapsing on its own while he was trying to fight the river of death for more portions of the Cave Heaven.

All around him, there was darkness. Some of the darkness was from him and the Devouring Ability. But most of the darkness was from the river of death.

The river of death surged around, quickly eroding the Cave Heaven. Even though he was fine for the moment, he knew that once the Cave Heaven was gone, he would be next.

At the end of the short battle, he could only get 616 million square kilometers before the whole thing collapsed. So he only managed to save 4.84% of the massive 12,736 million square kilometers Cave Heaven.

He thought that this was a loss. In fact, he grumbled about it, saying, "What a loss! The river of death is just too greedy."

He wanted to grumble some more. Unfortunately, something happened within him that shut him up.

A Cave Heaven the size of 616 million square kilometers is not even enough for a rank 8 cultivator to show off. Compared to the previous size of his Cave Heaven, this 616 million square kilometers is barely 6.5%. So it isn’t much to him either.

However, it seemed this much was enough to trigger a critical change within him. The change began when he assimilated the 616 million square kilometers and his Cave Heaven increased to 10,106 million square kilometers.

To be specific, the change started when the size of his Cave Heaven crossed the 10,000 million square kilometers mark. After that happened, the Cave Heaven began to collapse.

The collapse wasn’t like the one that just happened to Time Traveler’s Cave Heaven. It wasn’t the collapse of a Cave Heaven on the path to destruction. His Cave Heaven was actually shrinking onto itself.

As the Cave Heaven shrunk, he felt his body become bigger and bigger. This was only an illusion, though. His body was still the same size. What was truly changing was that the external world was becoming a part of his body.

The change outside of his body was small, but significant. It was tiny, but stark and clear. After all, there should be no way he didn’t know where his body ended and where the world began.

All of his life, his body had always ended at the boundary of his skin. Everyone knew this. Even ignorant and clueless babies were aware of the fact.

No one in their right mind would think that the world was a part of their body. But that was exactly what was going on to him.
