Chapter 977: The Divine Tower.

"Oh, that one?" Golden Sun said in realization.

"I know about it. But that requirement is only for worlds. It is one of the requirements for a large world to become a super world."

With his expectations rising, Loki’s eyes lit up as he said, "What then?"

Golden Sun shrugged and said uncertainly, "After the large world becomes a super world, it gains a Divine Spark, which it can use to support the existence of rank 9 Dao Initiates."

Urging him, Loki asked, saying, "What’s next for the super world after that?"

Golden Sun became silent as he racked his brain. While he was thinking, he said, "Forgive me. My memories are a little bit choppy. I have forgotten a lot of things from when I was alive."

"Now, now, what is next for a world after it becomes a super world? Let me think."

Loki was frustrated by this and even began doubting the reliability of the information he had gained so far from Golden Sun. But then he remembered that he didn’t exactly have a choice in who he could force to answer his questions.

So he decided to wait for Golden Sun to jog his memory. However, he still reminded Golden Sun, saying, "This delay is not part of our deal. The longer you delay, the longer this will have to go on."

"Whatever," Golden Sun said in dismissal.

The wait lasted for a few seconds, which wasn’t actually long. But Loki didn’t regret putting his foot down and demanding reimbursement for the ten minutes that the delays would take.

"Ah, yes. I remember. After a super world gains four domains, that is after four of its Dao Initiates successfully become Dao Lords, the super world can ascend into the third heaven and become a Divine Tower."

"Or was it a Divine Mountain or Divine Foundation? I can’t remember exactly."

Acting as if he had never heard any of these words, Loki said, "A Divine Tower is it? What is it used for?"

In response, Golden Sun shook his head and said, "I am not sure because no one has been able to succeed in creating one. If the guardian hadn’t told us about it, we wouldn’t even know that it was possible to do something like that."

"However, the guardian did say that we will become complete Dao Lords with a Divine Tower. He said that a Divine Tower is the foundation of a pantheon."

"I don’t know what a pantheon is exactly. In fact, I don’t know a lot of what the guardian means sometimes. His world is very different from ours. They call Dao Lords demigods from where he comes from."

Suddenly, he said, "Wait, wait. I seem to have remembered something."

Then he went silent.

Loki could only wait. He counted the time while waiting, though. As each second passed, he recorded it in his mind.

While he was doing this, he thought to himself, ’He really is just a fragment of the original Dao Lord. Dying is a bad thing even for a Dao Lord. It seems I will have to go beyond that before I can be free from the possibility of death.’

Eventually, Golden Sun recovered his senses. But his voice was full of disappointment as he said, "I lost it."

"Maybe it isn’t that I don’t know something. Maybe I just forgot it."

Shrugging, Loki said, "Let’s move on. We were talking about domains before we pivoted."

"Why don’t you tell me more about the Central Domain? If it is the original Blessed Heaven World, why is it under the control of the Four Directions Sect?"

His question made Golden Sun frown in displeasure and say, "That arrangement is an abomination. It is not the normal way of setting up a domain at all. In fact, it is a pretty disgusting way of doing things."

"Usually, each domain will be controlled separately by each Dao Lord and will behave like separate worlds, while the Central Domain will be under the control of the will of the world. But Black Chains broke that rule by enslaving the will of the world."

Retching in disgust, he said, "He took control of the Central Domain by trying to enslave the will of the Blessed Heaven World. It is something he did with his Enslavement Pathway."

"What an ingrate. The will of the Blessed Heaven World helped him to become a Dao Lord, and this is how he repays it. It is good that he is about to die."

"Fortunately, the process was only partially successful. He gained some control and was able to suppress the will of the world. But he still hasn’t been able to take complete control of the will of the world."

As if remembering something, Loki said suddenly, "You used to be a Dao Lord, right? Did you set up a Domain in the Blessed Heaven World too? What about your Blessed Land and your Domain? Where is it now?"

Laughing in deprecation, Golden Sun pointed behind him at the exposed Cave Heaven and said, "I did have a Domain. You’re looking at it now."

"In my heyday, it used to be grand. There were many people coming and going in it. But now, there is not a single person alive in it, and it is on the brink of collapse."

"I had to take back my Blessed Land when I fell from the third heaven. I also took back my pathway from the Blessed Heaven World so that I could hide it and hide myself better."

Shaking his head, he said, "What a fall from grace. Who would see this and believe that I used to be so powerful?"

Having satiated his curiosity about why there were only four domains when there should have been at least six because of the three brothers, he asked about one of the most important questions he had.

He said, "You mentioned the limits of Supreme Metacs earlier. I want to know, why do Supreme Metacs have limits?"
