The God Virus

Chapter 519: Trust Me

Chapter 519: Trust Me

Finally, as the silence was restored, a pool of blood drowning a motionless carcass was all that remained.

At the sight of everything, Aily was panicking inside since she had never witnessed such cruelty in the entire course of her life before. However, she was also aware Virus had done everything he did for her sake alone. Hence, with concern gleaming through her tone, she walked beside him and exclaimed, "This is bad, Vee!

I heard he's truly from the Poison Deity clan, not only that, but he's also the younger son of the chief of the Deity faction of the clan! We're both going to be killed now…"

Despite seemingly sad, oddly, Aily wasn't that frightened anymore.

His existence was like a pillar that sucked all her fears, making her see the illusion of security at his unshakeable shoulders.

"Hmm, aren't you afraid of dying?" Curious, Virus questioned.

"I am… but since I'm together with you, I guess I don't mind dying." Grinning like a Cheshire cat, Aily expressed her true feelings.

In reaction, an uproarious burst of laughter echoed through the alleyway before Virus notified her, "Don't worry. Nothing's going to happen to any of us."

At the same time, reaching out into his spatial container, Virus took out something that had been previously stored in the spaceship before Virus had decided to put it inside the spatial container instead, in case of any emergency.

It was the Incinerator!

Following quickly, Virus reached out and took out something unknown from Blaze's unmoving body. Then, as the incinerator was aimed at him, a blue scanning light came out of the incinerator before targeting every piece of Blaze!

Hua! Hua!

Right in front of the two, inflamed in a strange type of fire, the process of disintegration was initiated.

A few minutes later, standing beside the strange flame that did not produce the least type of heat, Virus watched the last drop of Blaze's blood vaporizing into nothingness.

Beside him, a dumbfounded Aily stood still uncertain about how to react to the inexplicable event in front of her.

"Ah, what happened to him?"

"Well, we gotta take care of the evidence, right?" Voicing the disposal process of Blaze's corpse using the simplest terms, Virus notified Aily about the basic function of the incinerator.

"Ah, by the way, how did you know I was here?"

"About that…"

FIFTEEN MINUTES AGO

Reaching the brothel, seeing Blaze nowhere to be found, Virus casually picked a private lodge before demanding the stewardess, "Bring Aily to that room, I'll be waiting there."

"Yes, dear client."

A few minutes later, while sipping his tea, Virus awaited Aily's arrival, and yet, Aily was nowhere to be found.

Instead, with a frustrated frown on her face, it was the stewardess who returned and notified Virus, "Dear client, unfortunately, I can't find Aily anywhere in the waiting area."

"What? Where is she, then?" With a glint of hostility aimed at her, Virus demanded answers.

"Well, based on the other women's descriptions, she was taken somewhere by Blaze Detox, that friend of yours. The women present at the time told me Blaze had claimed you were the one who had requested him to escort Aily somewhere outside… supposedly for kind of date." Without holding anything back, the stewardess reported.

Consequently, an unbearable pressure descended upon the stewardess' frame whose forehead was already covered in a cold sweat at once. "I swear, I wasn't aware of this, if I was, I would've at least tried stopping him."

"I don't care. Just pray nothing bad happens to her, if it does, you're on top of the list." Done with his sentence, Virus charged out of the brothel and vanished off somewhere.

"Dammit, fools in love are the most dangerous ones, that's why I try so hard not to offend them." Indeed, after having perceived several acts of madness in her brothel before, the stewardess had vowed to never err someone in love, especially the dreadful one that had just disappeared.

THE PRESENT

"And that's what happened… it took me a while, but after calculating the most likely locations he would take you to, it wasn't that hard to pinpoint your position." Having studied Blaze's personality for a long time now, Virus could even analyze and guess the precise toilet schedule of Blaze.

On the other hand, as a realization hit her, a sensation of despondency and disheartenment dominated Aily's heart. "Ah, I see… but… I don't think it really matters anymore since the stewardess and many others witnessed that guy bringing me outside and then even you going after him."

Observing her quivering physique despite having just said she wasn't afraid, an amused chuckle formed over Virus' profile who jumped forward and hugged her petite frame.

"Ah…!" Letting out a surprised yelp, Aily was startled at first. However, it only took her a moment to realize Virus was trying to console her through a hug. Therefore, with a peculiar sense of warmness within her heart, she leaned over and accepted the hug.

Time flew by as the two remained in each other's embrace.

When the two finally separated, Virus said something confusing to Aily, "There's no need for you to worry… since everything has been going exactly according to my plans."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"Well, follow me for now." Grabbing her hand, Virus took her to the nearest inn, reserved a room for the night before guiding her to the reserved suite.

"Stay in this room till I come back."

Since he had achieved his purpose for being here, Virus was about to leave when Aily took a hold of his hand. "W-where are you going to?"

Obviously, she misunderstood that Virus was leaving her.

"I'll be back soon. Just trust me."

"O-okay."

Leaving the inn, Virus strolled through the streets of Outer Ricando until he was standing in front of the brothel that owned Aily. Entering the brothel without any extra ado, he was delayed there for a while before his eventual departure to another destination.
