Chapter 497: Chaotic base

"I’m back," Valera announced. She looked back at Kai to see him leaning up against a tree, not tired at all.

"Welcome back, leader." The six women greeted her.

"So this is Empress Telia’s new boy toy, huh? He’s hot." One of them smiled while licking her lips.

"A man wielding Ki, huh? I don’t know how I feel about that." Most of the women here agreed with this statement, feeling uneasy.

"Don’t worry. Empress Telia has full control over him, and he can only obey her orders, as well as the orders of those she instructs him to, like me." Valrea reassured her team.

One of the women’s eyes lit up. "Oh? Is that so?"

"No, I won’t let you sleep with him."

"Tsk, party pooper."

’These women are crazy.’ Kai took everything back. He was happy he wasn’t sent here when he arrived on this planet.

"We move out when it’s dark. Double-check your items and make sure you have everything you need. This is a dangerous mission, so we have to be careful."

"Yes, Leader!"

For the next few hours, everyone double-checked their supplies, made sure their weapons were in great condition, and looked at Kai like a snack.

While they were doing that, Kai decided to cook for everyone. The best way to people’s hearts was through their stomachs. So he prepared a great meal for everyone. It wasn’t a large meal, but it was extremely tasty. He made tacos.

"What’s this dish called?" Valera asked

"Tacos. It’s really good. Here, I’m done, try it."

She took a bite out of it, and the flavor burst into her mouth. It was so good that she scarfed the whole thing down instantly and held out her hand for another one.

"Damn. Okay, here."

"Hey! I want to try one too!"

"Me too!"

"Same here!"

"Don’t forget about me!"

"Haha! Don’t worry, there’s enough for everyone." Kai made sure to feed everyone there, even making some juice to go along with it.

He opted for passion fruit juice since that was his favorite, beating orange juice ever so slightly. All of the women loved the drink as well, and they begged Kai to be their cook.

"I’ll send these recipes to Tel—Ahem, Madam Telia, so she can introduce them to the kingdom."

"That would be great! Thanks, Kai!"

It was safe to say that he had won over their hearts already.

"There it is, the base for the brotherhood." Valera pointed out.

"It’s smaller than I imagined." One of the women noted.

"That makes sense. This place is close to the capital, right? It would be dumb to have a large base so close to the heart of the continent. My guess is that this place is a reconnaissance base to gather information about you all so they can relay it back to their superiors." Kai said.

"Good deduction. You’re smart and can cook. If you were my servant, I would treat you extremely well." One of the women rubbed her hand on Kai’s leg, reaching for his crotch, feeling the monster that was lurking in his pants.

She bit her lips, then removed her hand, focusing on the mission.

"Okay. Our goal is to figure out what’s going on inside. We’ll meet back here in thirty minutes. Let’s move out."

The eight of them spread out in different directions, each of them heading toward a different part of the base.

Kai made his way through the back, phasing through the wall as he entered a storage room.

"Wow. This is a lot of gold. Hmm? And what’s this? Mana stones? Holy shit, that’s a lot of mana stones. They won’t mind me taking a bit, right?" Kai stole all of the gold and mana stones, emptying the storage room.

After taking the valuables, he moved around the base casually, walking past many of the Brotherhood members without them noticing him. He was invisible, so they wouldn’t be able to detect him, and he also masked his mana just in case.

Most of the rooms were just barracks, while the rest were lounging areas, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a meeting room.

However, there was one place that did catch Kai’s attention, and that was a room behind double doors.

He walked through it, entering the place, and saw who looked to be the leader of this brotherhood branch having sex with a woman who was crying.

"Ha! You like that, bitch?! All those years you sluts looked down on us, and now you’re beneath me!" The man shouted, pulling the woman’s hair back.

She was wearing Ki-dispursing shackles on her wrists, so she couldn’t fight back even if she wanted to.

Kai had noticed Valera sneaking behind the man, anger on her face as she was about to kill him, but he quickly stopped her and stepped between space so they could chat.

"Hold on, don’t kill him."

"Kai?! W-What are you doing?" Valera looked around, wondering where she was. Everything around her looked as if she were in the same room as before, but she clearly wasn’t. It was an odd sensation.

"Madam Telia informed me to capture the leader, which seems to be this guy. So, we need him alive. You can kill everyone else."

"Ugh, fine!"

Kai nodded and stepped out of space with her, appearing in front of the man.

"W-What the hell? Who are you two?!" He pushed the woman to the side, shot a ball of demonic energy toward Kai and Valera while trying his best to put on his pants.

Kai swatted the attack, and Valera caught the man’s leg with a whip, pulling and yanking it back and causing him to trip and fall on his face.

"You’re lucky I can’t kill you, bastard!" She stomped on his back, breaking it, which also knocked him out.

Kai healed the woman, soothed her mind, then placed her in a pocket dimension. He did the same for the leader, but he was sent to another pocket dimension.

"Okay, not that we have this guy, we can see if there is anything else that’s useful in this base, then destroy it once we’re done."

Valera nodded, but a sudden explosion nearly knocked both of them off their feet.

"What was that?" She wondered

"Dunno. Let’s check it out."
