Chapter 499: The Sword Sect
Chapter 499: The Sword Sect
Telia returned to the throne room with Kai accompanying her. While there, she orders her servants to call for her court members so she can let them know what was happening.
Although she was a demigod, Telia found it necessary to have people close to her with high ranks who could lead the kingdom in her absence...or if she didn’t feel like it. Sometimes she simply felt like sleeping in and doing nothing.
As they waited, Kai sat on her throne and made Telia sit on his lap.
"You know I can have you executed for this, right?" A smile crept onto her face as she leaned back and to the side, wrapping her arms around Kai’s neck.
"Oh no. Please don’t kill me, Mistress Telia."
Her smile widened, turning into a smirk. It was clear that she loved feeling in power and enjoyed dominating men.
"If you wish to live, you must do as I say. Do you understand?" She rubbed her finger down Kai’s chest, whispering into his ear while she made her way to his crotch.
"A-Anything!" He grunted
"Good boy." She licked his neck and turned his face to start kissing his lips, but before they could move past making out, they sensed people arriving and stopped playing around.
When four powerful women walked into the throne room, they saw Telia sitting on her throne with an annoyed look, her head resting on her hand, while one of her legs was crossed over the other.
Kai was standing to the side, looking professional and pretty sexy at that.
’Hmmm. I don’t know how I feel about playing the bottom in this relationship. You know what, my masculinity isn’t fragile at all. If she wants to be a dommy mommy, then fuck it, I’m all here for it! Mostly! Argh! Whatever! I’ll just fuck her good next time and make her go crazy.’
"Good, you all made it." Telia welcomed the four women who entered the throne room.
"Greeting, Empress." They all bowed, showing respect.
"It is good to see you all as well. Kai, take a look. These women are the cornerstones of the kingdom. You have Nuela, the Master of the Sword Sect, Sagana, the Master of the Mystic Sect, Ione, the Master of the Hidden Sect, and Magda, the Master of the Lunar Sect."
Kai didn’t expect there to be sects in this kingdom, but he assumed it replaced the Knights’ Order or the Magic Towers. However, he did find their names pretty basic. Simply saying the ’Sword Sect’ was as bland as it got. Now, if it were called the Lunar Sword Sect, then he would think that the name was fine, but that wasn’t the case.
"It is an honor to meet all of you." He bowed, showing respect.
"He’s handsome." Neula licked her lips. "Wanna share?" She was a beastkin, and her demeanor reminded him of Amaya.
"No, he’s mine. I have important news to share with you all. You see, members of the Hidden sect found a small hidden base belonging to the Brotherhood of Chaos. Thankfully, it was destroyed, and we also managed to capture its branch leader. After questioning, we found out that they have spies in the city who are plotting an attack. I want all of you to prepare for an attack and be wary. Neula, I want you to send members from your sect to investigate this matter."
"Understood, Empress. It shall be done."
"The rest of you, prepare for the inevitable. I shall also look more into this matter on my own. You may leave."
"Yes, Empress." They bowed, then left the palace to prepare for an eventual attack.
"So, what do they do?" Kai wondered.
"The sword Sect is for anyone who wants to become a weapon-focused Cultivator. Although the name is called ’Sword’, they actually practice multiple weapons there, including hand-to-hand combat. The mystic sect is also a combat-focused sect, but it focuses more on Ki techniques and battle formations using Ki rather than weapons.
The Hidden Sect is for gathering intelligence and assassinations. You worked with them earlier. Valera is a part of that sect. Lastly, the Lunar sect is a sect that’s opposite to the Mystic sect. They focus on defensive formations, illusions, potion making, medicine, poison, and healing. Don’t think that they are weak, though. They are extremely strong."
"I see."
"So," Telia got up and pulled Kai closer to her, stealing his lips with a primal hunger, "Why don’t we finish what we started earlier?"
"I’m always down for a little fun." He scooped her up, listening to her cute yelp, and teleported to his room. He had no idea where her room was; otherwise, he would have teleported there instead.
---
The sword sect was deployed to learn more about the traitors in the kingdom, patrolling the city and knocking on doors to question people, specifically men.
While the Sword Sect was ordered to patrol, the Hidden Sect still worked from the shadows, gathering as much information as they could in case the Sword Sect came up empty-handed.
Their investigation spanned hours with no progress whatsoever. It was hard to question terrified men because that also meant that the women weren’t doing their jobs by training their servants to behave properly, and they didn’t wish to be embarrassed.
"We’re getting nowhere!" One of the members growled in frustration.
"Patience. We’ll find something sooner or later. We just need to keep looking." Another member reassured her.
"Sure, and that can take a long time. Who knows when we’ll be attacked?! This is an important mission the Empress tasked us with. We can’t fail her."
"Even if we fail, the Empress understands that this is a hard mission. She will be understanding."
The woman sighed. "I hope so."
Just then, a woman walked over to the sect members with a man crawling on the ground like a dog with a leash attached to his collar.
"Well, what do we have here?" One of the sect members smiled, loving how the woman had her male servant.
When the woman got close, she kicked the man toward them.
"I have something you all would like to hear about."
