Chapter 509: Did he...want to die?

Chapter 509: Did he...want to die?

"Oh?" Carliodas watched as the demon king, his pawn, was instantly killed by Kai with no effort at all. The sight was too shocking to act right away. It wasn’t until Yorrigan fully absorbed the demon world essence and became the new demon queen that he snapped out of his shock.

"You’re going to die for that." He promised.

"Ha! Joke’s on you, bitch! I’m immortal. You can try all you want. Telia, use Divine Pulse!"

"What?" She had no idea what that meant.

"Uhh, use divinity slash instead." Kai didn’t know what her movelist was, so he was just saying attacks that had "god" or "divine" in the name, hoping she had one like that.

"Are you okay? You’re saying bullshit right now."

"He’s scared of dying by my hand." Carliodas boomed toward Kai, his speed even faster than the demon kings. A crackling energy sparked around his arm, making a noise that hummed through the air.

Kai’s expression went from a smile, hoping that Telia would have a godly named attack, to confusion when she had no idea what he was talking about, then to seriousness when he saw Carliodas rush at him.

Of course, he was seeing things in slow motion as he was significantly more powerful than the guy, but he didn’t counterattack right away. He planned on letting him get a lot closer before plunging his hand through the guy’s chest.

However, right before Kai would have moved his arm, Telia stepped in front of him, blocking Carliodas’s hand with her spear and pushing him back.

"My sister, it seems you indeed do love your husband." He shook his hand, feeling a tiny bit of pain.

"Of course I do. Did you seriously think I would marry a man I dislike when I rule a kingdom dominated by women’s authority?" She lunged at him.

"You tell him, babe! Beat the dumbass up!" Kai really liked Telia already. "Hey, Yorrigan, that’s MY wife, ha!"

"Yeah, yeah. I’m out. Thanks for helping me make it this far. I’ll be fixing everything in the meantime. Just don’t destroy the place, okay?"

"Yeah, no problem. Go do your thing."

She smiled. "Take care." They kissed, and she flew away.

"I’m gonna make demon babies with her one day."

An explosion occurred behind Kai, making him look in that direction. What he saw made him frown. Telia and her brother were fighting it out with the intention of killing each other, but Carliodas we getting stronger and stronger by the second.

It wasn’t noticeable at first, at least to Telia, but Kai could see him gradually becoming more powerful. How did he notice? Simple, the most annoying energy in existence started oozing from his body, Progenitor Decay.

"That fucking plot device!" Kai growled. He hoped Telia could end the battle before her brother got too powerful.

"You’re a fucking disappointment! Mom shouldn’t have had you in the first place!" Telia theusted her spear, missing Carliodas, but quickly repositioned her grip on the handle, swinging to the side as the spear turned into a glaive.

He managed to move out of the way, but his arm was grazed. Still, that was nothing to him, and he lunged at Telia.

"And you should have been there for me during that dark period of time instead of casting me to the side!" A torrent of black flames ignited from his palm, moving at high speeds toward his sister.

Telia spun her glaive, blocking the flames, but then Carliodas flew behind her, attempting to knock her away with a punch. However, she caught it with one hand.

"No matter how strong you become, you’re still a lowly mortal." She pulled him close the slashed his chest with her glaive.

"Yes! That’s what I’m talking about!" Kai was cheering her on from the sidelines.

Carliodas dropped to the ground, blood gushing out of his body. He struggled to stand up, but by the time he did, Telia was in front of him with her glaive piercing through his heart.

"Your time is over. Just die."

"Heh, to think that you’re strong enough to kill this clone. I underestimated you, dear sister."

"What?"

"Clone?" Even Kai was taken aback. Then, he saw it, Carliodas’s real body right above Telia, about to decapitate her.

’I fucking hate Progenitor Decay!’ He quickly moved his new wife to safety and swatted Carliodas out of the way.

"You!" He growled

"Telia is very precious to me; I don’t want to lose her when we still have our lives ahead of us." Kai smiled.

"What are you doing? I had things handled." She was thankful that Kai was there for her, but she wanted to end her brother on her own.

"No, trust me, you were about to die. Look at him, you might not be able to sense it, but I know you can feel that he’s different. It’s the energy that injured you before."

Telia focused, and what Kai said was true.

"You’re familiar with this power?" Carliodas asked

"Of course. It was my brother who gave it to you after all."

Upon hearing that, Carliodas paused. In actuality, he met with Aion’s avatar before it was destroyed by Kai, and that’s how he gained his power. He knew that Aion was out of his league, so if Kai was his brother, then Carliodas knew that he stood no chance against him. At least in his current state.

’Shit! I have to run!’ He took off, not wanting to engage in this battle any longer.

"You can stay right here." Kai’s presence forced Carliodas to the ground, preventing him from fleeing.

"Nnghh! F-Fucking bastard!"

"You know, I really, REALLY, hate my brother. So seeing you with this power makes me incredibly angry. Therefore, I’m going to kill you now. Take care."

"Wait! If you kill me, I’ll only come back stronger! It’s my contingency plan! If I die, then my entire army will know of this and invade the entirety of Windonia. Then, my soul will be sent to my mother, and because of this new power of mine, I will be able to be reborn as a demigod! So, do you want to still ki—"

Kai still killed him anyway. "Bitch! I’m not reading all that shit!"

"Reading? But he was talking." Telia pointed out.

"Oh, right. Bitch! I’m not listening to all that shit!"
