The Hero of Hypnosis

Chapter 542: The first barrier had fallen

Chapter 542: The first barrier had fallen

Technically, they tried to jump Kai. They didn’t know that he was a titan, so they weren’t really scared of him. This quickly changed when they couldn’t land a hit on him at all.

"Get back here!" A demigod attacked Kai behind, but she missed horribly.

Kai stepped to the side and gut-punched her so hard that she puked up blood.

"Noo! Carly!" Another demigod came after Kai, but he didn’t even notice when his head was cut off.

Kai moved around the makeshift battlefield, his arm moving like a blur as he cut down demigods left and right.

Out of the thousands of them, over a hundred died within a few minutes when they started fighting, and Kai wasn’t even trying that hard.

"How are you so strong? You’re just a demigod like us! You shouldn’t be this strong!"

"That’s because I’m not a demigod. I’m a fucking Titan."

Everyone paused.

They didn’t sign up to fight a Titan, and even if they did, they would be signing themselves up for a death sentence.

"You lie!" They weren’t going to believe that he was actually a titan; that was impossible.

"Really? Then what if I do this?" Kai ripped the divine souls out of 800 demigods, destroying them and killing them instantly.

The rest were left stunned, not knowing what just happened to the rest of their companions.

"Believe me now?" Looked down on the demigods, not because he felt that he was better, but because he was literally floating in the air. He had a large magic circle behind his back that looked as if a halo were on his back.

"W-Why? Why are you a Titan? Why are you this strong? Why are we here to stop you if we were just going to die?"

"Because all of you are just pawns in Aion’s game, and unfortunately for you, I’m the Queen on this chessboard." Kai killed the rest of them with ease.

Once he did, the first barrier disappeared, and Kai was free to move on to the next part of the kingdom.

"Heh, it really is like a video game." Of course, Kai didn’t proceed and decided to go back to the main hub first to stock up on some items.

"I’m back." Kai appeared in the pocket dimension.

"Kai. How are you? And what’s up with that black eye?"

"Ugh, please don’t mention this. It’s embarrassing."

"Heh, I’m surprised that your eye hasn’t healed yet. Did you get punched by a primordial or something?"

"Yes. I met my sister."

"You have a sister?"

"Yeah. I have two full-blooded sisters, and most likely a shit ton of half-siblings."

"Wow, big family, huh?"

Kai shrugged. "About to lose a family member soon, so it’s getting a lot smaller."

Torrigan didn’t wish to speak about family killing family since she felt it was uncomfortable, so she changed the subject.

"Thank you for saving the people. They are very happy to be safe and see their families."

"That’s good. Speaking of the people, the barrier is down, and I can pass to the next part of the city. As I expected, I have to kill the deities in each section before I move on. It’s like a video game."

"Video game?"

"Don’t worry about it. You wouldn’t understand. I’ll show you later. Anyway, I’m moving on to the next part of the city. Don’t come out until things are done. I’ll be sending more survivors here if I find any, so..."

Kai turned around and blocked an arrow that nearly took off Torrigan’s head.

"What the hell?"

"Ahh, I missed." A sultry voice giggled.

Kai and Torrigan turned around and saw three gods entering the pocket dimension.

"Did you seriously think that we wouldn’t be able to find out about this little pocket dimension? We have known about this place since the beginning, but we weren’t allowed to act. But now, we can do what we want."

"Damn, please don’t make me kill you," Kai begged the woman.

"Why?"

"Because I don’t like killing beautiful women. Just retreat, and once this is over, you’ll survive."

"Kai, are you literally flirting in front of me?" Torrigan couldn’t believe him.

"Listen, I’m just being honest."

The woman looked disgusted. "Do you know what Aion promised if we could kill you?"

"There’s a reward?"

"Oh yeah. He promised a higher level of divinity. I’m going to become a Titan."

Kai snickered. "You all are unbearable. Get out. I don’t want to sully this place."

"You think we don’t know how powerful you are? We NNGH—" The woman was instantly knocked out of the pocket dimension, the scenery shifting from her point of view.

Before she could get back in control of her body, she tumbled and rolled through debris, bringing down barely standing structures, and finally slowing down, hitting her head against a stone pillar.

"What the fuck just happened?" Upon getting up, she saw her two godly companions get absolutely decimated by Kai, not even being able to stand a chance against him, and dying relatively instantly.

She didn’t understand how or why Kai could kill them as easily as ripping a sheet of paper, so she ran. There were many things she valued in life, many things she wanted to achieve, but dying was not on her list of things to do.

Unfortunately for her, she bumped right into Kai, not even being able to say a word before he took off her head.

"So unfortunate." Kia sighed.

To make sure everything in the pocket dimension was fine, Kai put it on lockdown with his power. He made sure to use progenitor decay in his spell so no god would be able to break the protection he placed around it.

Torrigan would still be able to go in and out of the place with no worries, but any rouge diety who attempted the same thing would get bombarded with large amounts of Progenitor Decay, killing them.

"Welp, I guess it’s time to move on to the next level and see what it’s like over there."
