Chapter 576 576: Aion's true power

Kai could barely move under the pressure that Aion was currently exerting. The power radiating off of him was so intense that the fabric of space and time warped in his presence, nearly shattering reality.

Aion's body grew in size, reaching nine feet in height. His muscles bulged, but then slightly shrank. His eyes shone a bright golden light, six ethereal wings made of energy sprouted from his back, and a halo appeared over his head.

If it wasn't for the fact that Kai knew Aion was a primordial, he would have mistaken him for an Angel.

"In all of my life, I have only used my true form once, and that was when I killed our brothers. And now, the cycle continues." Aion spoke, his voice carrying power that could kill mortals and bring gods to their knees.

Kai knew that he couldn't beat his brother with his current abilities. He had perfectly merged with the progenitor decay, getting more powerful in the process, and now that power was useless.

Still, he didn't back down; instead, his resolve strengthened.

The progenitor blade in his hand changed forms, forming into bandage gauntlets around his fists. He wasn't confident that a bladed weapon would help, so he opted to use his hands; this way, even a stray punch would do damage to Aion.

"It's not too late to stop what you're doing," Kai warned, but he knew his words meant nothing.

"No, it's too late for you to beg for your life."

Both brothers stared at each other, sizing each other up as they waited to attack. Then Aion moved.

Kai barely had time to see him before a hand closed around his head. The motion was so fast it looked like teleportation, space snapping as Aion crossed the distance instantly. Kai's body whipped forward as Aion hurled him like a comet toward the nearest planet.

Kai tore into the surface, continents shattering as his body ripped across the crust. He blasted through oceans, stone, and mantle in a single unstoppable plunge. The planet's core ignited around him as Aion followed through the devastation without slowing.

Aion's grip slammed into Kai again and, with a second throw, drove Kai straight through the planet's core.

Molten metal and collapsing gravity swallowed him for a heartbeat before he burst from the opposite side of the planet in a geyser of fire and debris. The world ruptured behind him, cracks racing across its surface before the entire sphere detonated into expanding fragments.

The explosion caused Kai's body to flip and fly through space uncontrollably, but Aion was there to stop all of that momentum with a crushing blow to his ribs.

The force bent his body around the strike and sent him tearing through a cluster of asteroids. Rock after rock shattered as he crashed through them, turning the field into a storm of pulverized debris.

Even through all the pain, Kai's mind was focused on one thing, and that was stopping his brother. So, he flipped himself upright, his feet skidding against the rock, and prepared to counterattack.

But Aion was already there.

Kai's head snapped sideways as the blow Aion landed on his face launched him through a distant moon. The impact split the surface apart as he carved through the rock and erupted from the far side in a plume of shattered stone.

Before he could stabilize himself, Aion seized his arm and flung him again, Kai plunging into a nearby star.

Then Aion plunged straight into the inferno.

His fist connected with Kai's chest, and the shockwave rippled through the star itself. Stellar plasma erupted outward in a colossal burst as Kai was blasted out of the burning sphere and hurled back into open space.

'F-Fuck! He's too strong! I can't even land a fucking punch!' Kai forced his body to stop spinning, his nose bleeding, and his mind racing. He felt his heart beating extremely fast, adrenaline pumping through his body, and waited for Aion's next attack.

But instead of getting punched or kicked, reality folded as Aion lifted his hand.

Space warped as a nearby sun tore free from its orbit, dragged across the void like a weightless stone. The massive sphere of fire accelerated, screaming through space toward Kai.

"Are you serious?!" He put his hands out to block the incoming star, hoping it would stop before reaching him, but Aion's power was greater than his own, so he had to brace himself for the impact.

The explosion drowned the darkness in blinding light as the impact swallowed him whole. The star detonated into a catastrophic eruption of plasma and nuclear fire that expanded outward across millions of miles.

Swiping his hands to the side, the remnants of the explosion were cast to the side as Kai appeared, breathing heavily.

"You're holding up pretty well," Aion smirked

"You hit like a bitch." But in reality, Kai's body was screaming. It felt as if he would fall apart at any moment, but he was too prideful to let himself be beaten by someone like Aion.

"Heh, I'm sure. Let's see how you handle this." Another distortion rippled through space as Aion snapped his fingers.

The darkness around them twisted and collapsed until a black hole condensed into Aion's grasp, stretched and compressed by his power. Its crushing gravity screamed against the surrounding vacuum as its form elongated into a blade.

"The fuck?!" Kai couldn't believe what he was seeing. A black hole was just turned into a sword.

Aion swung, and the black hole sword carved across space.

Kai dodged at the last instant, the gravitational edge ripping past his shoulder. Entire asteroid clusters warped toward the blade as it passed, crushed into spiraling debris before vanishing into the singularity.

Even the blood from Kai's body was sucked into the black hole.

"Ah, I missed." Aion smiled. "Let me try again."

The moment Aion lifted his arm to swing again, Kai lunged forward and struck Aion in the side.

For the first time in the fight, Aion was hit by Kai, even being moved back ever so slightly.

"Haha! You see that? Looks like you're still a bitch." Kai smirked.
