Chapter 593: Second Encounter With The Order of Chaos
Chapter 593: Second Encounter With The Order of Chaos
"You’ve fallen into my trap... hehehe..."
Nolan was shocked. Before he could react, the Order of Life clasped his hands together.
Fwwsh!
Hundreds of tree roots burst from the ground and lunged at Nolan.
Caught off guard, Nolan was knocked back hundreds of meters. He crashed to the ground and rolled several times.
Clutching his aching stomach, he looked up.
The Order of Life stood there with a proud smile on his face. Around him, roots five to ten meters long writhed eerily.
"You were really careless. Did you think you had won? Hehehe... You’re wrong! You will lose!"
The Order of Life pointed at Nolan and commanded, "Attack him!"
The roots shot toward Nolan at incredible speed.
Nolan quickly leaped aside to dodge, but the roots were like missiles guided by radar. No matter where he moved, they continued to chase him.
Seeing this, the Order of Life couldn’t help but smile. Everything was under his control, including Nolan’s imminent defeat.
"How troublesome," Nolan muttered as he kept vanishing from one spot to another.
What he hated most were tree roots. They reminded him of his past trauma.
So he decided to end this boring fight.
Nolan maneuvered in midair, then clenched his fist and thrust it forward.
The roots shattered into pieces. Without stopping, Nolan lashed out with kicks forward and backward, instantly destroying the silent attacks from the remaining roots.
The Order of Life grew annoyed and tried to summon more roots, but failed.
"What? How is that possible?" His eyes widened in shock.
No matter how hard he tried to channel his power, nothing happened.
While he was still overwhelmed by confusion and fear, Nolan swooped down from above and struck him.
Boom!
Dust and smoke billowed into the air before slowly fading away.
Nolan stepped on the Order of Life’s chest, pressing down until his ribs bent inward.
"Argh!"
The excruciating pain forced a loud groan from his throat.
"Are you surprised?" Nolan asked casually with a faint smile. "You can’t feel your own power, can you?"
The Order of Life stared at Nolan in fear and asked in a trembling voice, "You... who are you? Why do you have such extraordinary power!?"
Only now did he realize how terrifying and powerful Nolan truly was.
Such power was not something ordinary beings possessed—except for the Seven Singularities.
Nolan smirked and replied, "That’s a secret."
He raised his index finger to his lips, wearing a mocking expression.
The Order of Life was indeed powerful, and his healing ability was on par with Seria’s.
Unfortunately, he was too naive and foolish. His lack of combat experience was his fatal weakness.
He was like a child handed a billion Sharn for free—he simply didn’t know how to use it efficiently.
None of Nolan’s attacks that tore apart his body were in vain.
Every time the Order of Life was injured, Nolan secretly implanted his spatial power into his internal organs.
As a result, despite his extraordinary healing ability, it ultimately became useless.
After all, the human body was made of atoms. As long as he could manipulate the surrounding space, killing him was easy.
At first, Nolan wanted to toy with the Order of Life a little longer. It was rare for him to find such a good punching bag.
Unfortunately, he was already bored. The Order of Life was far weaker than the two men who wielded the Singularity of Chaos and the Singularity of Flame he had encountered before.
"You... You..."
Anger surged through the Order of Life. He wanted to kill Nolan immediately, but he couldn’t muster any of his power.
"Don’t be reckless, Nolan Lorian! If you do anything to me, you’ll be challenging the Seven Orders! It’s a force as powerful as the Seven Singularities! Think carefully," he threatened in a trembling voice.
He hoped Nolan would feel fear or at least hold back, but it didn’t work.
"Do you know why I’m so strong? Haven’t you realized it yet?"
Nolan’s question caught the Order of Life off guard. He froze for a moment as a suspicion formed in his mind.
"The power of space and teleportation... Wait! Don’t tell me you’re—"
Before he could finish, Nolan chuckled softly and nodded.
"Yes, I am the Singularity of Chaos. Congratulations, your guess is correct."
Nolan opened his right palm, and a demonic mask materialized out of thin air.
He put it on, and in that instant, a terrifying aura erupted from his body.
The Order of Life could only lie there motionless, completely helpless.
He never expected... never imagined... that the trash prince of the Great Velmora Empire was actually the Singularity of Chaos—one of the three most mysterious Singularities in the world.
"H-How is that possible!? This must be a joke!"
No matter how hard he tried to deny it, the Order of Life knew it was the truth. The trash prince was indeed the Singularity of Chaos.
Nolan said nothing and pressed his left palm against the Order of Life’s face.
"You have no value left—except as a medium for me to locate the headquarters of the Seven Orders."
After that, Nolan’s eyes transformed into the sun and a star—the Eyes of Chaos.
A purple light glowed in his hand, and at the same time, a scream of agony rang out from the Order of Life.
Whoosh!
The area around Nolan suddenly darkened. When the darkness cleared, he found himself standing before a cave in the middle of a vast wilderness.
Nolan looked around, but he had no idea where he was.
He then shifted his gaze to the cave and walked inside.
The cave was enormous and pitch-black. Without the Eyes of Chaos, he wouldn’t have been able to see anything around him.
Without realizing it, he had already walked a kilometer. Strangely, he still hadn’t reached the end of the passage.
However, Nolan did not give up and continued forward. After all, it was the only path ahead.
He didn’t know how long he had been walking, but eventually, he arrived at a massive hall.
The hall resembled an imperial hall, only three times larger. There was none of the luxury he had imagined—just a vast, empty space lined with towering stone pillars.
The surroundings were dark, lit only by torches hanging from the pillars.
Nolan shifted his gaze to the side and smiled faintly.
He walked in that direction and stopped at the foot of a tall staircase.
At the top stood a black stone chair. A man in a black cloak sat upon it, resting the right side of his face against his palm.
As if sensing Nolan’s presence, the man stirred slightly and slowly opened his eyes.
His pupils were red, shaped like the sun and the moon.
Their gazes met, and faint cracks formed in the space between them, slowly spreading before finally shattering.
When Nolan opened his eyes again, he was back where he had been.
A faint smile curved his lips as he whispered, "We meet again, Order of Chaos..."
