The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne

Chapter 733: Defeating the Demon General Malgrion

Chapter 733: Defeating the Demon General Malgrion

"Gyahahaha!" Malgrion burst out laughing. "Die! Die! Die! You’re nothing but an ant destined to die by my hands!"

He shifted his weight mockingly, as if trying to crush Evalyn, who was pinned beneath him, into her very bones.

Once he was satisfied, he stood up and turned toward the crater.

In that very moment, his eyes widened in shock.

"W-What!? How is that possible!?"

Evalyn, who should have been there, had vanished.

"Why? Are you surprised?"

A teasing voice came from his side.

He turned and saw Evalyn standing about ten meters away, a faint smile on her lips.

"You... How did you survive?" he asked in astonishment.

Just moments ago, he was certain Evalyn had been struck directly. She should have been dead.

Yet now she stood to his left, leaving him confused and shaken.

"You underestimated me," Evalyn replied calmly. "Even if you’re strong, your movements are easy to read."

Her words made Malgrion’s anger flare. He straightened fully and bared his sharp teeth.

"Very well... You survived this time, but can you survive the next?"

He opened his palms, and a three-meter-long mace materialized.

The weapon was black, with a rounded head and strange patterns etched along its shaft.

"I’ll devour you! You’ll be my dinner tonight!" Malgrion roared as he slammed the mace into the ground.

Boom!

The earth shook as if an earthquake had struck.

"Die!"

Malgrion crouched and dashed forward. He raised the mace high and brought it crashing down toward Evalyn.

Evalyn remained calm. She closed her eyes and whispered, "Transformation!"

Buzz!

Her hair turned golden, and a sun symbol appeared on her forehead.

When she opened her eyes, her pupils had turned a bright gold.

As Malgrion’s attack came down, she dodged it effortlessly.

Boom!

The mace struck the exact spot where she had been standing a moment earlier. Malgrion looked up and saw Evalyn unharmed, now standing five meters away.

Refusing to give up, he swung his mace again and again. Unfortunately, every attempt ended in failure.

"Argh!"

Malgrion slammed the mace into the ground. Cracks spread instantly, sending debris flying into the air.

He then leaped and lunged at Evalyn, who was in midair.

"Die!"

Evalyn smiled. Just as the mace was about to strike her, she shifted her body and narrowly dodged it.

"What!?" Malgrion’s eyes widened in shock.

Before he could react, Evalyn raised her sword and slashed vertically at the arm holding the mace.

Slash!

His arm was severed at the joint and fell to the ground.

Srck!

Black blood gushed out like a fountain. Malgrion groaned in pain.

He quickly grabbed the severed arm and reattached it.

The limb fused back into place, and the wound began to heal.

However, Evalyn noticed something unusual.

’It’s taking longer!’ she gasped.

Previously, Malgrion had healed in less than a second. But now it had taken three seconds. It was a small difference, but it was unmistakable.

A weakness had revealed itself.

"So that’s it..." Evalyn smiled. She pulled her right leg back and lowered her body until she was almost touching the ground. "In that case, I just need to keep attacking him until his regeneration can’t keep up!"

Whoosh!

Her figure vanished, then reappeared directly above Malgrion’s head.

The unprepared Malgrion was startled. He hurriedly swung his mace upward toward her.

But as if she had anticipated it, Evalyn spun midair and cleanly evaded the strike.

She landed behind him, twisted her body, and slashed at both of his legs.

"Argh!"

Malgrion howled in pain and collapsed to the ground. But in the next moment, both of his legs began to reattach.

Evalyn could see that the process was much slower than before.

The smile on her face widened, looking almost terrifying.

"Perfect opportunity!"

She vanished and reappeared in front of Malgrion. The Divine Sword of Luminus sliced through the air, severing his left arm.

Malgrion tried to grab her but failed. Evalyn used the hero’s technique—Lightning Step—to evade all his attacks.

Her movements were so fast they could not be tracked by the naked eye.

Zrrrkh!

Zrrrkh!

Evalyn vanished and reappeared repeatedly, severing Malgrion’s limbs one after another.

Her speed was so overwhelming that his regeneration could no longer keep up.

Suddenly, she appeared on Malgrion’s right shoulder. The Divine Sword of Luminus pierced his right neck and sank deeper.

"Argh!"

Malgrion’s roar of pain was so powerful it created a massive windstorm.

His enormous body swayed from side to side, nearly causing Evalyn to lose her balance.

"Just a little more!" Evalyn gritted her teeth as she forced the sword deeper. "Die, Malgrion!"

The sword emitted a blinding light. The area within a fifty-meter radius was engulfed in an intense glare.

A few moments later, the light slowly faded before finally disappearing completely.

Evalyn stood on Malgrion’s right shoulder, her face weary and her breath labored.

"Did I... succeed?"

She stared at Malgrion, who stood rigid and unmoving.

The next second, his massive body cracked. The fractures spread like a spiderweb before he finally crumbled into dust.

Evalyn lost her balance and fell from a height of four meters.

Just as she thought she was about to be injured, something unexpected happened.

A handkerchief slipped out of her pocket and floated into the air, emitting a faint purple glow.

Her fall slowed, and she landed safely on the ground.

Evalyn was stunned as she stared at it in silence.

"Nolan..."

It was Nolan’s handkerchief, which she had stolen several years ago. Sometimes, she kept it in her pocket just to ease her longing for that "smelly" man.

Who would have thought it would become her savior?

It seemed Nolan had realized it was stolen and had intentionally left it behind for her.

Evalyn picked up the handkerchief and smiled gently.

"You’re such a cold-hearted man who always pretends. I know you were worried about me," she murmured as she hugged the handkerchief.

If it weren’t for that handkerchief, she would have been injured. Her strength was gone, and she felt extremely weak now.

Even a fall from just four meters would have caused her minor injuries in her current state.

Buzz!

Evalyn’s appearance slowly returned to normal. The hero’s technique—transformation—was a forbidden ability that pushed all five of her senses to their absolute peak.

That was why she had been able to dodge Malgrion’s attacks so easily and also notice the slight change in his slowed regeneration.

Evalyn tried to stand but couldn’t. Her body felt unbearably heavy.

Still, she didn’t rush and allowed her strength to gradually recover.

After fifteen minutes, she slowly stood up and took a deep breath.

She stared at the black ash—what remained of Malgrion—and smiled faintly.

"Defeating a demon general... If this incident is recorded in history, I’m sure my father in the future will be surprised," she chuckled.
