The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1334: Early Immortal Tribulation (1)

Chapter 1334: Early Immortal Tribulation (1)

Rory led Klaus away from the garden and moved far to the west, where no houses nor civilians could be found. Klaus wanted a peaceful tribulation since, naturally, he would be faking it.

The Lightning Source Diagram is what he would be using for this endeavour. Since only one of his bodies would have to undergo the real tribulation, this meant the other nine would have to simulate it.

However, since the Lightning Source Diagram is something the heavens turned into a tribulation weapon, he would still receive tribulation runes just like he would if he were having the real thing.

The lightning source diagram was created by him for Knox, his second incarnation, to use as a weapon; however, when the heavens stole it, they corrupted it, turning it into a tribulation weapon.

Who knew he would be needing it for just that, years later? Perhaps it wasn’t a coincidence at all.

On the way, Klaus asked Rory a question.

"How hard was your tribulation when you were becoming an Early Immortal?"

Although she was already aware that Klaus is the paragon, she still wanted to see the kind of person a paragon is.

Of course, she was making it seem like she didn’t care, but Klaus could sense her gaze on him from the moment they left the garden, so he asked as a way to learn more about her, and in return, she would know more about him, too.

"It was normal. I had to kill a beast that had already reached the high-level Early Immortal stage. It took me ten minutes," Rory answered, making Klaus smile weakly.

His other body had already found a planet he would be undergoing the tribulation on, so both bodies would be breaking into the ranks of an Immortal at the same time.

However, he knew one body would face some of the most dangerous trials in history. There is just no way the heavens wouldn’t make things extremely hard for him.

If not because of the lightning source diagram and his Nine Reincarnation Divine Body, this body would also face a great calamity.

So, for Rory to say her tribulation lasted only ten minutes, Klaus knew the heavens’ bias was just too severe. It was like they picked the danger everyone was supposed to have and dumped it on his head.

"Why are you smiling?" Rory asked, looking at the defeated smile on Klaus’s face.

"Nothing to be bothered about. I just found your answer funny."

"What is funny about it?" Rory asked, clearly interested in what Klaus found funny about her simple tribulation that wasn’t so simple.

"Well, usually when I have my tribulation, planets shatter, so I guess I was just wondering how easy it had been for you. The heavens clearly are biased... They make things simple for those they love and load all kinds of crap on us, the hated ones."

Rory said nothing; however, Klaus could tell she was thinking about many things. She had to consider that she had no inkling of what a paragon tribulation looks like.

She would love to experience it; however, from what Klaus said back in the garden, that wouldn’t be happening today. However, that didn’t mean she wasn’t interested in knowing.

"Can you share some of the tribulations you’ve had in the past with me? I want to know more about how the tribulations of a Paragon work."

Klaus nodded, but then a smile appeared on his face. "You don’t have to use tribulations as an excuse to want to know more about me. If you are interested in knowing more about me, you can just ask. I am an open book."

Rory glared at him from the side but said nothing. She was already getting used to Klaus’s free personality, so learning more about him was cool too.

It was just that she went about it the roundabout way. Perhaps she was shy of him, or maybe she was trying not to intrude on his personal life too much.

Meanwhile, the criminal version of Klaus was now seated in a lotus posture, looking at the tribulation churning in the clouds.

It turned out that while he was in a coma, Icon sent a message to Maud and Sera, telling them to look for a planet where Klaus could have his tribulation.

Sera, the Dark Space company’s representative across the entire Dervas Star System, identified several planets. They were abandoned, had no surveillance, and posed no threat to it.

This meant that for someone like Klaus, whose tribulation would be out of this world, one of such planets was perfect for him.

So, the moment the planet was found, Maud took the new SS-class spaceship Sera had bought for Klaus and headed there.

She had already built a Death Portal on Planet Virel to allow Klaus to come there first and check on Niva before leaving. Since he planned not to come back to Planet Virel for a couple of months because he had to prepare for the Blood Tournament, he came to say goodbye.

Niva had already entered seclusion when he arrived. However, to make her feel safe and cared for, he made sure to see her face-to-face.

Once that was out of the way, he left. Maud had long reached the planet and was waiting for him. It was only a matter of teleporting there.

The moment he arrived, he took the next step, and the tribulation started to form.

Klaus turned and looked at Maud, who was designing a few things on her tablet. He was already aware of her interest in fashion, so he didn’t mind. However, he couldn’t help thinking about his wife, Nadia.

When they met, she was a fashion designer, so seeing Maud having an interest in that field brought back some memories.

"Hey, Maud, can you later introduce Nadia to this fashion designer friend of yours?" Klaus asked, not minding the danger forming above him in the cloud.

"I have already done that," Maud answered, taking her focus away from her phone and onto Klaus.

"Oh, that is insightful of you," Klaus smiled. "What was her response?"

"She wants to meet her."

"That can be arranged. However, Sera would have to get us another spaceship so you can use to take her there," Klaus said, already looking forward to how Nadia would react when he tells her the news.

"Maybe Lord Klaus should focus on the tribulation first. I will stand guard and make sure nothing disturbs you."

Klaus nodded.

Maud would also become an Immortal since the moment Klaus took this step, it would affect her, too. Of course, just like him, when it came to combat, she could face even True Immortals. So becoming an Immortal was something good for both of them.

If he were to merge with her, their combined power would be explosive.

As the seconds passed by, the cloud forming grew thicker and deadlier. "It’s been a long time since I faced you losers, so at least try and make me feel like I was being challenged," Klaus grinned.

Unbeknownst to him, far away, all of his wives were also waiting for their tribulations.

They all entered seclusion and came out at the same time. Now, scattered across twelve different planets that Pickle Berry and Jane discovered, all twenty-nine of them were about to face their own tribulations that were promised to finally make them step into the ranks of Immortals.
