Chapter 1745: Ambush (3)
Chapter 1745: Ambush (3)
“NOOOOOOOOOO!”
Number One’s voice was swallowed by the cries and groans of his own men, who, despite their attempt to block the sudden attack of the doomsday weapon, many of them perished.
They never saw the attack coming. In fact, they didn’t even expect there to be someone capable or crazy enough to defend against an X-Class weapon.
But the Zhou Twins did, and they even had the guts to not only defend against it but also weaponise it.
The “Three Shield Divergent” was a technique they had spent the last few months practicing inside the Dark Space. They knew it would come in handy, and today, it proved they hadn’t wasted their time for nothing.
Watching as screams and groans escaped the lips of the warriors who had survived, one could tell Number One was at a loss.
This wasn’t how his glorious campaign was supposed to begin. He was supposed to kill the Paragon or atleast some members of his team.
However, in the turn of events, he had lost two of his best, and now he had accidentally killed over 20,000 of his men, many of them vaporised into nothingness.
That alone, coupled with the fact that the Paragon he had come to kill hadn’t even revealed himself, left him both heartbroken and pissed.
But he was soon snapped back to his senses when, suddenly, Jason, now free from the hold of the doomsday weapon, moved, and his spear was mere inches from Number One’s chest.
“Die, scum,” Jason channelled his wind element through his spear, hoping to kill his opponent much faster. But his attack was met with a deadly sword.
BOOM
They were both pushed back, and the next moment, Number One was before Jason. “I will kill you, bastard.” Number One didn’t hold back and attacked with all his strength.
But Jason just smiled and leaned back. Then, tapping into the law of the wind element, he called the name of the wind, and at once, a windstorm started to rage.
“Wind Storm Devastation”
Space twisted, and then, out of thin air, hundreds of thousands of wind blades materialised. “Allow me to give you a taste of what the rest of your people will be receiving as long as I am on this Ancient Battlefield.”
Number One was forced to abandon all offensive attacks and go on the defensive. He could sense that his life was threatened, and that alone was enough to tell him he would die if he did not defend his fragile life.
But that was his first and last mistake.
Jason struggled on defense. His defense was very weak, something he had always struggled with, even in his past life.
But when it came to offense, he excelled. So much so that even the strongest defense would struggle to withstand his attacks.
Number One picked the wrong target to defend against. Soon, he would understand why Jason is the bane of his existence.
Numbers Five and Seven died before the battle even began, and now that Number One was also tied down, only Numbers Two, Three, and Four remained.
Number Six was already at the mercy of Daniel’s hammer. In fact, death was already smiling back at him, which meant that soon, three out of the seven warriors the Twin Dagger Fiend had sent to ambush Klaus would be dead.
Soon, however, Numbers Two, Three, and Four were also besieged.
Miguel came from the void, his barbarian body and axe bathed in lightning as he descended on Number Two, who saw him coming, but he was still pushed back.
The attack pushed him back, causing him to cough up blood.
“You are unlucky to have met me, buddy. Now die and join the rest of your pals in the underworld.”
RUMBLE
Miguel channeled more lightning and started attacking Number Two, who was soon pushed into a corner.
Number Three tried to rush to Number Two’s rescue since, at the moment, he was the only one who could use the doomsday weapon. They needed it, and if he were to die, considering Number One had already been trapped in a Wind Storm, they would lose access to their trump card.
So she knew Number Two had to live.
But she underestimated her opponents. Just before she could move toward Number Two, an arrow slammed into an asteroid before her, sending debris flying all around.
3 km away, Kay waved at her, then he moved, and another arrow arrived before Number Three.
Kay had already killed Number Five, and now he had set his sights on Number Three. Soon, Number Three was besieged on all sides, Kay using the distance between them to his advantage.
As for Number Four, his body froze, cold sweat forming on his forehead as he stared back at his opponent. In fact, the 10,000 warriors behind him had also turned pale, their bodies shivering as they stared at Kilian walking calmly toward him.
The Sword of Damnation in his hand made matters even worse. It felt like the incarnation of death was walking toward them, ready to send them all to the underworld.
What made matters even more chilling was the fact that a tattered black cloak billowed behind Kilian, deep black flames burning from his eyes and around his sword.
Every step he took sent shivers down the spine of the 10,001 Foreign Race warriors he was approaching.
However, when Kilian was 300 meters from Number Four, he stopped and turned to his left. “I have lost interest in this fight. I expect my opponents to be full of confidence and have the will to live.
“These losers have already given up. Killing them will be a stain on my reputation.”
Without even turning to face them, Kilian vanished back into the void.
“Well, I am an equal-opportunity slaughterer, so allow me to continue from where my arrogant friend left off.”
Gorr appeared immediately, causing the color in the air to vanish, replaced by black and white.
If before Number Four and his men were initially scared, then now they were terrified. It was like trading the devil for death.
If Kilian was the devil, then Gorr was death.
Unfortunately for them, Kilian was gone, and Gorr had no intention of sparing them. He rested the Necrosword on his shoulder and smiled, his twisted expression causing close to 2,000 to collapse in sheer horror.
Seeing this, Number Four started to cry, a sight that sent the entire Ancient Battlefield into a state of shock, fear, awe, and admiration.
