Chapter 1746: Ambush (4)
Chapter 1746: Ambush (4)
[An Hour Before The Ambush – Klaus’s POV (Klaus is the same as Rhazor)]
Klaus looked back at his teammates and smiled. “We are only an hour from the point of attack. From what I could gather, they brought 70,000 men, 700 battle Androids, and seven commanders who are not any weaker than average Pseudo-Primordials.
“Aside from that, they also have a Doomsday weapon that can be fired three times. Clearly, they came prepared and are willing to end the battle before it begins. They are determined to end my legacy this time around.
“They perhaps wish to ensure I die no matter what, and so they brought the majority of their forces, which works in our favour, actually.”
“It does?” Yasmi, Danny’s girlfriend and the team’s healer, asked.
“It sure does, Yasmi. You see, from my intel, the Twin Dagger Fiend has 100,000 warriors. If 70,000 have been pulled away, then there are only 30,000 stationed in the Shattered Valley.
“Now, I don’t want to stress how stupid that decision on their part was. Perhaps they failed to realise we have someone like Asmodeus on our team, or they failed to realise that with a thought, I can unleash a horde of beasts on them.
“Maybe they just look down on us, which is why we will crush them so hard; the entire Ancient Battlefield will be sent into a state of fear.”
“I like the sound of that. Now, what is the plan?” Danny asked, his hands already itching for a fight…
“The plan is simple: a selected few of us will attack the seven commanders and kill at least half of them. While that is happening, the rest will use the void to approach the Shattered Valley and ambush the remaining 30,000.
“Now, since we decided to stream the battle, those in the Shattered Valley will be expecting us with heavy artillery if we take longer than 5 minutes.
“Luckily for us, we have some of the deadliest warriors, so even if we delay, it shouldn’t be longer than 4 minutes. I, alongside Gorr, Akutaq, Matthew, Mark, and the ladies, will first take the lead; the rest of you should handle the 70,000 as well as the seven commanders before teleporting to our side.”
“What if they use the Doomsday weapon?” Jason asked.
Hearing his question, Klaus turned and looked at the Zhou twins. “Are you ladies up to meet a real Doomsday weapon?”
“Yes. We have been training for this moment these last few months, so allow us to challenge it. We believe we can handle it.”
“Okay then. You two will remain with the first strike team. Once the weapon has been neutralised, rush to the Shattered Valley.”
They nodded, and after a few details were ironed out, the mission was a go…

[Present]
Gorr didn’t hold back at all.
He charged at Number Four, and within three breaths, he killed him and a thousand others.
When he was upgraded to the Peak of the Supreme stage, his sword also awakened, now having a very powerful weapon spirit.
This allowed him to harness not only its power but also its aura that had been accumulated during the Primordial Era.
This aura, now amplified by the one accumulated over the course of his life, had made it so every attack contained some form of power that no ordinary defense could contain.
He was basically cutting through the thousands of warriors like they were bugs. Already, they were terrified of him, so he was basically bullying them to death at this point.
The funny part is that the battle started less than two minutes ago, and already half of them were dead.
Asmodeus looked at the thousands of warriors currently at a loss as to what to do. Their leaders were all taken out by the very people they planned to use as scapegoats.
“In that case, why don’t we end things here?” Asmodeus tapped into his Undead Space and summoned 100 wolf-like undead beasts, each a Celestial.
They are his latest creations. After becoming the Undead Sovereign, he unlocked so many abilities that he had only tapped into a few.
The undead wolves are only a few.
“Kill them all.”
They roared, and that was the start of the second most chilling moment on the battlefield. The undead wolves moved with such ferocity, killing as if it were their life’s purpose.
But then again, they were undead beasts, so life was merely a distant concept for them.
“I am leaving,” Yaxche said to Asmodeus before he teleported away.
On the other side of the battlefield, Number One had long discovered his mistake in choosing to defend against Jason’s attacks. Naturally, he realised it too late. The moment he went into defensive mode, Jason had already won.
Now, he had lost both arms and legs, leaving him with barely an ounce of life in him. He had lost the will to live, but instead of killing him, Jason tossed him into Asmodeus’s Undead Space along with his severed limbs.
“Nicely done, Jason. You can leave now,” Asmodeus said to him, and with a quick scan of the battlefield, Jason nodded and left.
The rest of the battle was almost over.
At the same time, across the Ancient Battlefield, everyone wore varied expressions, most of them shocked.
The broadcasting of battles in the Ancient Battlefield and the universe wasn’t new to anyone.
In the past, whenever the Foreign Race managed to corner the warriors of the universe, they would broadcast it, making sure everyone witnessed the deaths of their loved ones and friends.
It was their way of killing the spirit of the universe.
However, the warriors of the universe also used it sometimes when they knew it was their chance to strike back. Naturally, every time the broadcast went live, everyone knew a massacre was about to happen.
So today, when the broadcast went live, everyone wanted to watch how the Paragon planned to handle the staggering odds he faced. Safe to say, everyone was taken aback by the sheer chilling display of precision and battle experience.
“The Paragon didn’t even make a move,” some said, watching Gorr and the rest of Klaus’s friends dominate the battle.
“Aside from the God Butcher, this is my first time seeing these people. Just where had they been hiding all this while, and most importantly, where did the Paragon find them?”
“The better question should be, where is the Paragon?”
BEEP
Just as the question was asked, the broadcast switched to the Shattered Valley, where Klaus stood on a large sword, his arms crossed over his chest, a smug look on his face.
Before him, 30,000 warriors, thousands of battle androids, and the Twin Dagger Fiend faced him, their expressions dark.
