The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1757: The Sword Of Damnation

Chapter 1757: The Sword Of Damnation

Hidden within the Sword of Damnation is a version of Kilian that had already become a Primordial. Although he is only half-awake now, his power is more than enough to aid Kilian in killing a Pseudo-Primordial.

The only downside is that Kilian is still weak, and so the process takes time.

So before he can awaken his Dao, he has to get involved in the battle first.

Safe to say, after losing one hand and his two teammates, Jason and Daniel nearly dying, that moment had finally arrived.

The Omen of Silence hasn’t said a single word, which, from what is known about her, means that her power only grows stronger the longer she remains silent. Thus, she had done a good job of thrashing Kilian and his friends.

But that doesn’t mean she hasn’t sustained her own injuries. Kilian and his pals had also managed to leave some cuts on her body.

But she had to die first to ensure the battle had indeed come to an end.

Kilian smiled, then he said:

“Jason, Daniel, make sure she doesn’t come at me for five seconds.”

“Okay,” Danny raised his hammer with a single hand since the other one had become limp.

“Hammering the Universe,”

RUMBLE

The sky split open, and flames started raining down. “First form: Hammer of the Heavens,”

He moved, and his entire body lit up in flames… “Die, you mute bitch,”

Nyssara, the Omen of Silence, raised her needle-like daggers and blocked the hammer with a deafening bang, and she pushed back, causing Daniel to take a step back.

The next second, Jason was behind her, his spear appearing inches from her neck

“One,” Kilian counted, his eyes closed, the Sword of Damnation oozing a red aura.

She pushed her body back and was about to block the spear when a flaming hammer came from the side, aiming for her ribs.

Thankfully, she took her yoga class seriously, so she was able to move her body just slightly enough for the hammer to pass by her, and then she blocked the spear.

“Two,”

“Again,” Daniel jumped high into the air and brought down his hammer.

“Hammer of the Heavens,”

The Omen of Silence raised her daggers again to block the hammer, but Daniel didn’t allow her to do that. Just before the hammer arrived, he used a technique to split his body in two.

One version of him arrived behind her and unleashed a deadly kick, sending her flying toward Jason.

“Three,”

“Scream for me,” Jason stomped on the ground, and his eyes lit up, lightning bursting out of them…

“Demon Eye Gaze,”

A beam of lightning fired out of his eyes, landing on the daggers wielded by the Omen of Silence. This pushed her back toward Daniel again. However, before Daniel could use this advantage, something strange happened.

The Omen of Silence revealed a chilling smile, and then her body turned to mist and vanished.

“KILIAN,” they both shouted when, right behind Kilian, the Omen of Silence appeared and stabbed her dagger forward.

“NOOOOOOO”

From where they were, even if they used their shared connection, it would be too late to teleport and save him. At best, one of them could use their life to protect Kilian’s.

Daniel didn’t hesitate on that. He tapped into the connection they shared and was about to teleport when a rare smile appeared on Kilian’s face.

The smile made him stop.

And the next second, something even stranger happened. Just as the dagger arrived behind Kilian’s neck, his head moved to the side, and his hand moved back, driving his sword through her heart.

Everything froze for a second

Those who had just seen what had happened couldn’t make sense of anything. They knew even the fastest being in the universe would have struggled to defend against such a close and unexpected attack.

They all expected Kilian to die.

Yet not only did he evade the attack, he even had time to counter and kill.

Even Klaus was taken aback by what had just happened. He never expected Kilian to have set up such a perfect trap.

If only they knew the five seconds Kilian had wanted his teammates to buy for him were mere fluff. He had already seen five seconds into the future before the battle began and knew what would happen, when it would happen and what he had to do to change the outcome.

In the original future he saw, the Omen of Silence killed him, which, to Kilian, was a good outcome. He possessed a strange ability that allowed him to turn his misfortune into his fortune.

So whenever he saw himself dying or gravely injured, he could turn the tide and make it so he was the one walking out unscathed.

Those five seconds were the last moments of his life. But then he smiled and planned well, knowing that if he said he needed five seconds, the Omen of Silence would attack before those five seconds were up.

And since he already knew how he had died, he knew just when to react and how to counter to end the battle.

The Omen of Silence saw an opening and took it, not knowing that the opening had been left deliberately to lure her into an ambush. Now, as she looked at Kilian, shock was evident in her eyes.

“H-How…” she asked, blood drooling from the corner of her mouth.

“Oh, and she speaks,” Kilian smiled and leaned closer. “I killed you by making you believe you were in control. Everything from the start of the battle to this very moment had been within my calculations.”

He turned and looked at Daniel and Jason. “From Daniel getting all the bones in his left arm broken to Jason nearly losing his heart to me, actually losing one arm, I saw all that happen and made sure it did, knowing we were working toward an outcome.

Now, we have turned the tables and set the gameboard, allowing you to walk into the perfect trap.”

Daniel appeared beside Kilian and smiled.

“I believe what Kilian is saying is, we have checkmated you,”

Three Supremes killing a Pseudo-Primordial in close combat—that was indeed unheard of, but for some reason, perfectly normal. After all, Kay, Danny, and Miguel had already killed the First Omen.

So it was perfectly normal for them to kill their opponent as well.

However, for some reason, everyone saw their win as a worthy one, especially seeing the state they were in now.

It was a good battle, worthy of remembrance.
