Chapter 827: Supreme Dragon of Darkness, Valus.
"This is nice."
Alan commented, staring at the tall bookshelves filled with books he couldn’t pull out no matter what. Even with his strength, they didn’t budge. He looked towards the distant fog, and if he was being honest.
He would prefer to not approach it, it gave him the ’creeps’. Not only that, but he wasn’t alone in this, as even the owner of the domain didn’t trust the fog surrounding her.
Alpha gently placed a cup of ’blood’ tea on the table, Alan grimaced, as the scent of it wasn’t exactly as unpleasant as one would expect.
But it wasn’t nice to his sensitive nose as well. Although Sabrina liked it quite a bit.
She picked up the tea cup and continued to read, and although she wasn’t showing it, she had been excited to show her own domain, even though it couldn’t compare to any she had seen.
Although Alan was the only one allowed entry for now, Alice and Olivia had overstayed their visit. He had been eager to learn about her domain.
Both of them had domains that weren’t like any humans’, perhaps because they acquired them after they changed races or during them. The natural-born power of humans existed in their genes, even if they weren’t really human anymore.
Master Arken, Ezra, and everyone else had domains that expanded into the real world and provided a lot of benefits. Alan could be said to have the same, or even upgraded version of the domain ability...
But he had almost never had the opportunity to use the Jade Palace in combat, after all... it summoned an entire city. He couldn’t use it in normal places or even a dungeon.
He had only gotten the chance to test out the forces of the Jade Palace, which wasn’t the entire power of his domain. On the other hand, Sabrina’s domain had no combat ability.
It was just a library filled with information of all kinds. Humanity had yet to really study the topic of domains extensively, but if she were to go back, it would be a topic of discussion among the entire race for sure.
Nevertheless, she liked her domain a lot. It just fit. Unlike Alan, who just had to deal with the Jade Palace. Unlike her, he knew what it felt like to be in an actual enclosed domain.
He... didn’t like the experience. Unfortunately, he hadn’t been in a domain clash yet, so he was still unsure of how the Jade Palace would perform.
"That aside, can you please tell me what you did to these two?"
Sabrina’s domain had a few special abilities, however, one of which was that it was connected to the vampires of House Almada, although only two existed right now.
Those two, were Alpha and Beta, the latter which was as far as he could be in the domain, taking the form of a chicken as if apologizing for a great mistake. He was drowning in his own sweat.
Even Alpha, who Sabrina would say was even more composed than her... was shivering in the corner, hiding behind Sabrina.
"Hey, don’t blame me, they picked a fight first."
Alan raised his hands, and shook his head. He wasn’t at fault, they were afraid of him. They had picked the fight first, and they paid for it.
Although, Alan was still confused as to how they listened to Sabrina so well.
"And I thought you two were strong."
Sabrina commented, she was joking, she really was. She knew what those two fought, although Alpha and Beta didn’t know that.
’...’
To Alpha, her lady had the pleasure of never encountering a somewhat serious Alan Peccator in a fight. Had she ever survived a fight against a monster like him, she would understand their fear.
Alpha and Beta had seen that ’monster’ break the very monster that their mother had perfected, the monster that she had cultivated for centuries, and the monster that had brought ruin to the family of Almada.
Alan Peccator went against Victor, and to Alpha and Beta, he had emerged victorious whilst Victor had forgotten who he even was. He was nothing but a walking corpse now.
Alan Peccator was the devil himself to Alpha and Beta. It explained their fear. He had defeated Beta in physical combat, and bested Alpha in magic.
Those two prayed to the god beasts once they found out their lady was in a relationship with that man, they really did.
Alan stared at the two of them and rolled his eyes, he was more focused on what Sabrina was doing. He approached her and bent down, their chins were millimeters apart.
The sudden change in his behavior shocked Sabrina, even if she didn’t react much. Inwardly, her heartbeat skyrocketed, and her temperature was fluctuating.
Alan was simply busy reading whatever was on the display screen, it was history of the three major races of the alliance.
When he saw it, he asked.
"Any kind of information is present here?"
Sabrina didn’t respond, Alpha could see her lady shaking and sighed, but she was too afraid of Alan to calm Sabrina’s nerves. She just watched her lady barely let out an answer.
"Bri, are you good?"
’That is the first time he...’
"Although not all information present in the universe, most of it is present in the Library. It was created for this very purpose."
Alpha chimed in, helping her frozen lady out.
Alan squinted his eyes, focusing on the display, and made a request.
"Then, can you get anything on the Supreme Dragon of Darkness, Valus? Anything, really."
The girl was barely able to let out a nod, and Alan smiled as he received her confirmation, and lightly kissed her on the cheek, before promptly leaving her domain.
Sabrina was frozen, her hand over her chin, the exact place where he kissed her. She...
"... Wow."
When did he grow assertive? What the hell had happened in the Realm of Shadows?
"My lady, your complexion is extremely red."
