Vampire's Slice Of Life

Chapter 1192: Asura Trump Card

Chapter 1192: Asura Trump Card

Doomsday had descended in the world of Octavia. A hellish sight met the eyes of the living.

Blood, flesh, and bones of the deceased on the battlefield swirled into a deep crimson vortex, flying straight towards the erupting volcano.

The lava from the volcano did not spew out, rather fused together into a gigantic ball, surrounding something.

When the last drop of blood from the Asura General was received by the said lava ball, a bright light shone and a terrifying pressure pressed upon everyone, making even the Legendary Ranks kneel.

On Lith's side, even he and his party were no exceptions.

Fei and Sylvia kneeled down and were knitting their brows while Lith sat calmly on his chair, not affected by the pressure.

"So this is the new piece…" Lith commented.

It wasn't a living person that met his eyes. It was a halberd. A peerless curved blade with a bright crimson handle was what radiated this terrifying pressure.

"The ancient artifact!" Some of the living Asuras exclaimed from the ground.

"It does exist!"

"I can't believe I can see it in this lifetime!"

The Asuras on the ground cried in happiness and cheers rang out in the battlefield, as if these guys had suddenly gained an upper hand.

"Not good!" Lith heard Roy's voice from the battlefield's model.

Roy flapped his wings and tried to fly to the halberd, but couldn't move an inch. He could only watch in despair as he saw a silhouette fly towards the halberd.

Apart from the ones with the Asura bloodline, everyone else felt a huge suppression and couldn't move a muscle and were like fish on a chopping board.

Lith saw the silhouette too and upon closer inspection, it was that of a young girl's.

The girl reached the halberd and claimed it.

Lith frowned. He knew this girl. He had a deal with her once.

The prideful look on her face was not something he would forget.

'This girl is…'

Lith still didn't know the girl's identity. It was quite mysterious. If she was a noble or a commoner, he would've found her identity already. But given he hadn't so far, then that only meant…

"The Asura Princess?" Lith heard Roy's voice.

Even Roy wasn't sure because the identity of the princess was deeply hidden. He could only make a guess.

Watching the young girl claim the halberd, Lith saw it fuse with her.

Her hair turned red and her aura erupted as her regal black robes fluttered.

"This war…" the girl's voice boomed all over Octavia.

"…it ends here."

The Asura Princess swung her halberd and the vampire soldiers got sliced into half. They couldn't regenerate and were dead as their souls shattered.

The tables had turned. The Asuras were successful in their last ditch to save themselves.

The trump card from Asuras had arrived!

"Master, my power is draining. We should leave while we can." Fei pulled herself together and sat on a chair as she pointed at the chessboard again.

After the Asura Princess claimed the halberd, some pressure was lifted off, but those without the Asura bloodline were heavily suppressed.

Lith felt no pressure, but judging from Fei and Sylvia's state, he knew things would take a turn for the worst if he didn't leave now.

Lith rubbed his temples and stared at the battlefield. "I wanted to save this for later but I guess there's no choice."

Taking out his phone, he sent a message to Wang Wei who was on standby.

Finishing it, Lith calmly picked up Fei and Sylvia like a sack of potatoes on his shoulder.

"Eh, Master?" Fei was confused. This didn't seem like it was in their plan.

"Master?" Even the usually quiet Sylvia spoke this time, dumbfounded by the sudden change of plans.

Lith didn't answer them and instead rip apart a talisman, creating a gate to a safe place.

"Wait for me. I'll be there in a bit." He pushed them in the gate and teleported away from the area, appearing right beside a scared teen and an oblivious man with black hair.

Sensing Lith's appearance, Zhao Shi's eyes lit up. "Master! I knew you'd come to save me!"

Lucas, lying flat like a starfish beside Zhao Shi felt touched. He didn't expect Lith to come rescue them. He thought that maybe Lith would send someone but it was a pleasant surprise to see him in person.

Lith was a good master. Lucas assessed.

Lith had no time for an emotional reunion. He simply tore off a talisman and opened a gate, then picked up Lucas like picking a briefcase and threw him inside.

As for Zhao Shi, he picked him in the same manner and teleported away.

Far from him, the Asura Princess in her berserk state was on a rampage, killing every vampire soldier she could see.

Roy was watching the sight with a defeated expression along with the Sixth Pillar beside him. It seemed like he would be buried in this battlefield today.

Roy was kneeling and the Asura generals were watching him as if he was a dead man.

Not much time had passed since the Asura Princess went berserk. They thought of savoring the moment and killing Roy slowly. For a brief moment, Roy was safe.

While Roy was having his life flash before his eyes, space around him fluctuated and out appeared a tall silver-haired man holding a confused teen.

The Asura Princess noticed the strange change in this area.

Though the moment her gaze landed on Lith, her hands trembled and blood spilled out from the corner of her mouth.

"Tch." The Asura Princess clicked her tongue and wiped the blood.

Welding this treasure came at a cost and it was taking a toll on her. It was best if she ended it early.

Lith was calm throughout and in front of everyone's gazes, picked up Roy and ripped a talisman.

"They're escaping!" A general shouted and charged at Lith.

Space fluctuated and the gate opened up.

A strange pressure descended on everyone and Lith frowned, jumping to the side.

"Roaaarrrrrr!" Sharp claws slashed out of the gate and a ten meters tall beast jumped out, its pressure no less than an Asura general's.

The talisman was an escape type and it generally led to a safe place. However, with Shi in Lith's hands, how could things go right?

Except Lith, Zhao Shi's curse affected everyone including his own self. He was a double-edged sword that had to be used carefully.

The beast charged at the general and taking this split second of time it bought for them, Lith jumped inside the gate and vanished, leaving behind a group of cursing men.

On this day, the Asuras were successful in defending Octavia. However, the war wasn't over yet.
